"significantly worse object avoidance than than the Dreame x40 and L40 ... The best feature of the L40/X40/p10 pro ultra is that they have class leading object avoidance so you don't have to pick up your cat's toys or prep your house every time you want to run the robot meaning you can run it on a daily schedule which will keep your house cleaner. ... I run my X40s daily and they never get stuck on cables, cat toys and other random junk that ends up on the floor."

"I can basically always trust my X40 to finish a midnight cleaning session in the dark and wake up to find it sitting in its dock and have clean floors in the morning."

"I think its hands down the best all around option right now, especially once you hook it up to the water line and drain, i run it daily in our house and we got rid of our cleaning help because of it."

"I've used them for 1500 miles of multi-day hiking with no issues!"

"I'm on my fifth(?) pair of Peregrines. ... They have been a total game changer, and I run them until they fall apart and then get another pair."

"I've been using them for almost 7 years and I've only had one pair go out from going through the washing machine one too many times. ... For context, I listen to enough music to cost Spotify money with my membership (over 160 hrs a month)"

"They had a good toe box and heal support ... First pair was fantastic, grip, fit, lacing."

"Fits "normal", meaning it is wider than any La Sportiva shoe I have used, which is very much welcomed for my hobbit feet"

"Even the older models I use have a lot of room for my toes."

"Super comfortable resin shell, has shorter nozzle so no discomfort with insertion for me, YMMV. ... Just prefer the tuning & fit/design of the InAwaken, it can be used all day with no problems physically or musically. ... I can’t speak for you but had zero comfort issues (my ears are small/medium in width). The inner shell is very smooth with no bumpy nodules. Has the best fit of my x4 current iem’s."

"The fit is incredible, light, shorter nozzle, so sits great in-ear/canal area isn irritated. ... Can wear all day with zero fatigue."

"Hours and hours of usage everyday and no headaches, no sweat ... I prefer using IE-300 for longer sessions out of them all."

"my go-to if I know it’s going to be a rocky and rooty mudfest."

"Personally have had great luck with the Akashas in very technical, wet, terrain."

"Best shoe for mixed UK terrain in terms of grip is the La Sportiva Mutant in my opinion. ... Sticks to wet Lake District rock and is decently lugged."

"the new Innov8 last shape I find really narrow in the mid and quite long in the toe so I sent them back."

"The problem is that the precision fit isn't precise - a massive step back given their intended use."

"The ones I’ve used fell apart before the sole showed any wear."

"i've had 2 pairs both fall apart in less than 400km on the same trails i run with the Decathlons ... i've worked with some athletes on FKT and races and their trainers fell apart quicker than we would have liked too."

I started noticing this a couple years ago and planned accordingly. For me I have huge feet and it's hard to find good shoes. For those in my situation and like a low drop and low rise, look into Inov-8. I've only bought these shoes since early '23 and I hope they never change.

I find my Inov8 Roclites have very good grip on wet rock and slippery terrain in general. Although I haven't seen them in that many outdoor shops I'm afraid. Some Go Outdoors do stock them, but it doesn't seem to be all of them.

I’ve been wearing Inov-8s for 15+ years for trail and fell running and even moved to them for XC races when achilles injuries meant I could no longer wear spikes. Always done the job for me, reasonable value and regularly available with chunky discounts online.

Inov-8 has a bunch of models in a wide size now. Even the older models I use have a lot of room for my toes. Durability is fine I think, compared to what I read about Altras.

I'd say yes (not having used the latest models personally though). I find mine very comfortable.

Love the inov8 fit and grip - hate the lack of energy return. Feel like I've got bricks on my feet after 50 miles! Looking for an alternative, gonna be trying the Topo MTN racer for my next winter shoe

Hello - I would say that the Prodigio Pro will feel a bit too squishy for general walking around. I walk the dogs in a pair of Salomon GTX Thundercross. They’re stable enough, comfy, and waterproof. The Ultraglide are also a good option. I’ve also had numerous Inov8 Roclite, Trailfly which are also good for hiking if you like zero drop. Hoka are also comfy if you stay clear of the racing shoes - Challenger ATR or Speedgoat. I also like the ASICS Fujilite for walking. I’d suggest avoiding the S/Lab Genesis, Tecton X3, Mafate 5, Prodigio Pro, Nike Trail Ultra, or anything with a PEBA Foam or really pronounced rocker. They will be too squishy, unstable and wobbly underfoot.

I’ve gotten great longevity out of Inov8 trail runners. 800-ish Appalachian Trail miles on a pair.

Always always always Inov-8 shoes. Still love my Nathan running vest for hydration for longer trail runs.
