"Comfort is superb for me, no problem at all running them all day everyday when I WFH with constant meetings or music going on for 8+ hours."
"Distances 20KM+, I think the Prodigio Pro's good balance of comfort and grip just wins here."
"I did run a 100km race in the full size up without touching the shoe once in the whole race."

"I was quite impressed with its comfort and trail capabilities, and truly believed I had found an excellent shoe for my long runs and hikes. ... the New Balance Hierro v9 remains my top choice for comprehensive trail running. Its superior comfort and, crucially, its consistently reliable grip in varied and challenging conditions make it a more dependable partner on the trails I typically encounter. ... I feel more secure in the Hierro, and that confidence is key. In fact I will be using it for my upcoming races and that says it all."
"The Vibram Megagrip outsole on the Hierro v9 is simply outstanding. Its 4.5mm lugs provide excellent, reliable traction across various surfaces, from dry dirt to slick roots and muddy patches. I've always felt incredibly secure, and it consistently inspires confidence in diverse conditions. ... Great Vibram outsole grip, even on mud and wet rocks"
"The Trabuco 12 have been the best trail shoes I’ve ever owned. ... I’m 6”4 and charge hard over serious rocky terrain…and I feel completely safe in them."

"Third pair is only Telluride and seems to be holding up significantly better. ... Been running super rocky trails with miles of scree and they’re still perfect."
"everything on the PP is better: the upper, the midsole, the outsole, the responsiveness, the ride, agility, bounce, propulsion, stability, etc."
"Upper is in ridiculously good shape - definitely couldn't say that about many shoes after 1,000 km."

"People have been telling me they're not good for slippery terrain, but I've had a completely different experience. ... I've done last year's Wildstrubel in them and with 20cm snow melting it was muddy throughout the race, they kept me going. ... They were also stable in La Sportiva's back yard at Lavaredo."
"The prodigio pro is another Level in the Trailrunning industry regarding supershoes. ... The pro is more the Über-Shoe right now especially for alpine and rocky trails with long distance where other plated models have their issues regarding groundfeel."
"I'm taking the Prodigio Pro to a very technical 100km ultra next week, instead of the Tecton X 3 ... the absence of a plate is more of a positive for me on the trail"

"However the Pro Pro is better in both categories IMO."
"It's got great energy return to the foam"

"Order your Prodigio Pro at least a full size up. You're best off 1.5 sizes up. ... I've never seen a running shoe run so far under TTS."
"Big mistake, after only a couple of runs, both my second toenails blackened and eventually fell off. ... they are tight though. ... Yes, I feel them in the front of the shoe on downhill especially, but also in flat terrain."

"they don’t work with my feet-I get ankle pain in shoes that don’t have a super stable/supportive arch and heel. ... the shoes just don’t have the stout support I need"
"Oh, I do wish that there was bit more arch support."

"the midsole was toast by 100mi ... maybe because I'm a heavier runner (200lbs)"
"limited durability of midsole"
"durability has not been great on the first two pairs. ... The issue with the first two pairs was the rubber on the sole was delaminating from the midsole . Mostly by the toe side area but also on the heal."

"after 15 miles I started feeling a pain on the top of my foot. ... The tongue was killing my right foot"
"They destroy the top of my left foot."
"I had that padding on the tongue absolutely kill me on both feet."
I was having ankle pain from over pronation and needed a shoe with stronger support, I ended up going back to my Sportiva Akasha’s and the pain started the let up right away. They’re a heavy shoe and may not fit your needs based on where you are but I like em! I also just got a pair of Sportiva prodigio pros that seem to be super cushiony but still supportive, but I only have 1 run on them
r/trailrunning • Trail shoes for weak ankles ->I found a pair in Italy when I was there a few weeks ago and they’re objectively the best shoes I’ve ever felt, however they don’t work with my feet-I get ankle pain in shoes that don’t have a super stable/supportive arch and heel. I wish I could use them but I can’t. Does anyone have any suggestions that feel like a blend between the Prodigio Pro and the Akasha? I love my Akashas, but my feet run very hot and they melt in them. A more breathable version of the Akashas with the same fit, cushion and support is what I’m trying to find! If anyone wants to buy my Prodigio Pro’s in a 45 EU worn twice for a total of maybe 10mi, let me know!
r/trailrunning • La Sportiva Prodigio Pro Review – 220km & 12,000m+ Later ->I actually have a pair of s/lab genesis and love them for running, but any supercritical foam gets wrecked on extended scrambles. Mine have 80mi on them and look like a dog chewed them up. My girlfriend’s prodigio pros are also trashed after 150-200mi of Utah technical running and scrambling. Bummer that the supercritical foams just don’t hold up to abrasion like a normal EVA does
r/trailrunning • Ideal long day/scrambling shoe ->Best shoe I’ve worn so far is the prodigio pro. They feel so good on climbs. Can’t even explain it
r/ultrarunning • Alternatives to La Sportiva Bushido as a "do everything" trail running shoe ->Norda 005 is very light weight and comfortable. They are expensive though. La Sportiva Prodigio Pro is comfortable, handles technical terrain well and on the lighter end.
r/trailrunning • Those unicorn shoes... ->Just did a 30km out of the box with them on a real mix of terrain and they're amazing. They've somehow created my perfect trail shoe, absolutely incredible to run in. LS are a half size up for me (from Salmon, Inov8, Hoka etc) by the way but see you ordered them already.
r/trailrunning • La sportiva prodigio pro ->Long reply here but I understand this quite niche problem all too well. I have a bunion in the same place on left foot but actually have skinny midfoot so always struggle to get a lockdown in 'wide' shoes. The Inov8 Trailfly and their new range works well here. I'd actually go for the standard fit over wide as the toe box is already foot shaped. The width I think is in the midfoot. For example, I have a pair of precision fit Mudtalons and get a super snug midfoot lockdown but the toebox still lets my foot spread. The problem you actually have is that a lot of 'wide toe box' shoes still carry that super straight line on the inside of the foot which obviously doesn't work. Even the Prodigio Pro mentioned is quite accommodating but suffers from this to a degree as the bunion pushes the mesh out and can become uncomfortable by forcing your foot or all toes away to the side. Salomon shoes are quite bad for this, even though I suck it up and wear them as the midfoot just suits my feet. The Trailfy is the comfiest shoe I've worn in years, and I've even cleaned mine up and now wear them for walking around daily and the gym. They do a Trailtalon too if you need more softground grip, plus a road shoe. Edit to add: if anything like me, mine is just on the one foot so if I buy wide shoes, the other is super sloppy. This is why a better shape toe box works better than a wide fitting shoe in my opinion.
r/trailrunning • Help needed to find shoes that fit these feet. ->Same here, I tried the Prodigio Pro and they felt wider than the Kjerag 1. Couldn’t try the Kjerag 2 in my size. Never had any issues with the Matrix upper, but I’m not sure what material La Sportiva uses.
r/trailrunning • Kjerag 2 VS Prodigio Pro? ->Shoes fit everyone differently so don’t know if there’s a best, but I have been loving my La Sportiva Prodigio Pros. Well cushioned, great grip, and love the sock-like upper
r/trailrunning • Best trail running shoe? ->495 miles? Mine are at just over 200 and look like that and the midsole is packing out already… I’m in socal where trails aren’t that technical. Love the shoe but the durability doesn’t seem great on my pair :(
r/trailrunning • Prodigio Pro durability ->I daily the Evo SL for road work and have been blown away by the La Sportiva Prodigio Pros for my trail running - they excel across the board and can cover all sorts of distances and terrains. I highly recommend IF you can swing the price - if not there’s plenty of other great options for much less. Also recommend sizing up one full size. Good luck!
r/trailrunning • First Pair of Shoes Recommendation Please 🙏 ->The ogs were soooo good and grippy and fast but the pros def for like 50 mile and up are sooo light fast and responsive… def the best released shoes for a few years imo
r/Ultramarathon • Sylan Pro - Arc'teryx ->Had them both, ended up with the La Sportiva. VJ ultra 3 has slightly higher stack and a roomier toe box (but still a nicely snug mid foot and heel). While being lower stack, the Prodigio Pro has a slightly peppier feel I the foam. Both have VERY good grip, with a slight edge to the VJ. Both are better than Vibram Megagrip, and both are surprisingly durable. The reason why I sold my VJ Ultra 3s was the rough upper digging into the sides of my ankle. This is supposed to get better with time but for me it was simply too painful. Should be obvious on a first fitting though. Apparently the next version will redesign that part of the upper, but who knows when that will be released.
r/RunningShoeGeeks • VJ Ultra 3 Review ->Prodigio Pro is my current pick. Might be billed as a race shoe (they are fast!), but they are amazing as a slower comfy cushioned shoe as well.
r/trailrunning • Plush shoe for hard packed trails (not gravel🤣) ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
