NNormal Cadi is both very breathable and widish feet. Wish they’d make it with max cushion instead of medium firm.
I feel my Cadi, which only has regular width, is a more voluminous fit when I compare it to my Speedgoat 7 (wide).
I have both the Cadi and Altamesa V2. The V2 sole is very stiff and I’m slowly breaking it in, only have 15 miles in so far. Right now it is a “brick”. Cadi, just received, normally I wear a wide but these fit great, super comfortable walking around, albeit in a size 13 1/2. I had to 1/2 up since they don’t make a size 13 for whatever reason. 13 would have been perfect, 13 1/2 is ok though.
I have the Nnormal Cadi and I'm really happy with them. I tested the Tomir but I felt them too narrow. The Cadi have more space for the fingers and the orange part in the midfoot is great for having the shoe quite well secured.
The CADI is based off the Kjerag foot shape with a wider last and higher volume. Higher stack 35/29 but same 6mm drop. Slightly softer midsole than Kjerag. More damp, less snappy/responsive. 4mm lugs vs 3.5mm lugs on the Kjerag. The CADI is an excellent daily trainer, great for gravel and rolling terrain. Door-to-trail-to-coffee shop. FIT: fairly true to size. I wear a USM9 in topo and also wear my Tomir in USM9. Same with the CADI. I have found the Kjerag to run 1/2 size big. So I size down to a USM8.5 in the Kjerag. Hope this helps!
I bought these hoping to wear them for my 63km. Aiming for 5:30-6 hours so similar pace. I think I won't wear them for a few reasons: 1.They feel great when running fast, but walking up steep ascents was absolutely brutal on my calves. 2. The inside sole is a very high arch. This has given me some blisters in spots I've not had before. 3. Now that I've run a little bit, they are maybe starting to break in? But I will be wearing them for everything up to half marathon, maybe a marathon, but I'm not risking it for the ultra. I am almost certainly going to wear the NNormal Cadi instead. They're not plated but they're so light they feel like a race shoe.
Absolutely love them, however they're new to me and I've only done a few 15km runs so far in them. I should get out for a long run (30k) next week to see how they are over a longer distance. I just simply could not believe how light they are whilst still being comfy.
I have the S/Lab Genesis, which I love, but if you're trail running has road to trail, they're not very comfortable on tarmac/concrete for me. I also have the Nnormal Cadi, which I am planning to wear for my next Ultra. I really like the Kjerag too but I tend to stick to below 15km or so in them, and wear the Cadi for anything longer as they're just a little more comfortable and more forgiving for me.
You could perhaps consider the cadi rather than the Tomir, I've been enjoying these quite a lot and likely to wear them for my 60km ultra. They're not quite as cushioned as merrel agility peak 5, but they are more forgiving than the NNormal kjerag.
My favourite road to trail are either Merrell agility peak 5 (comfort) or NNormal Cadi (almost as comfortable but not quite, but much lighter.)
Just got the Cadi, and also have Kjerag and Tomir. I’d say the Cadi fits true to size, way more cushy than the Kjerag, slightly more cushy than the Tomir. The toe box is quite roomy- not quite Altra level of roomy, but lots of room. I had a 50k on the weekend and used Cadis straight out of the box (bit of a gamble) and they were perfect.
I wore Lone Peaks almost exclusively for years, but for past 2 years have been wearing Nnormal. The Kjerag definitely does NOT have a wide toe box, but the Tomir (the version 2 in particular) is pretty decent. I’ve worn them for several long races (80-120k) with no issues at all with my toes feeling squished and no rubbing/ blisters.
Yes! I ran 10k on a product demo the weekend after their launch. Now waiting for my size to come in - I normally wear 11.5 and need a 12. They are lovely and comfortable, and have great grip for hilly ascents on the South Downs.
The Nnormal rep definitely recommended sizing up before I even tried a pair on. I think it's particular to this shoe, but by all means call a shop to query. I'm getting mine from Diverse Terrain and Rob there has been running in the Cadi. Cushy and cushty - yes!
130k on them already. Haven't worn another shoe since I have them. I love the Kjerag but for anything longer than a 30k I always wished for more cushion. The Tomir is too "clunky" for me with the deep lugs. I like it but don't enjoy running super long on it. The Cadi fills the void for me perfectly. It's like a more cushioned and roomy Kjerag. Important side note: I advocate for the brand so I'm for sure biased.
Yes they are! I also have a pretty wide forefoot and in the Tomir's I would get constant hotspots on the inside of my feet. Didn't had this in the Cadi at all. Longest run were around 28k (17miles) with 1300hm (4300ft) and had not once thought about my feet.
It has quite some padding on the tongue and also the heel. I would say it's more on the warmer side.
I also just bought a pair. Unlike some of the other models that don’t include an insole (or so I’ve come to believe based on reviews), the Cadi does in fact come with one. I have also found that they run fairly true to size - I sized-down a half size based on recommendations online but will be exchanging the size 9 I purchased for a 9.5. Overall I do find them comfortable, and the materials seem to be high quality, but I will point out that the upper feels a bit narrow in the midfoot to me. Maybe when I size up this won’t be an issue. Toe box feels comfy, no big complaints there.
