Versatile road-to-trail, but struggles on wet, technical downhills.

Wore these almost exclusively on our 2-wk trip at the end of July. Mostly sightseeing and a little bit of hiking. Lightweight, waterproof and very comfortable for the long days. https://www.on.com/en-ca/products/cloudsurfer-trail-waterproof-m-3me1027/mens/chambray-glacier-shoes-3ME10272897 Men's Cloudsurfer Trail Waterproof | Blue & Grey | On Canada
I also have some waterproof On Cloud trail shoes, and they're fantastic
I bought some keens on Black Friday for $40 (normally like $140). I’d suggest looking for waterproof hiking shoes on Black Friday. But if you’re ever interested in spending some money, the oncloud waterproof running shoes are heaven.
When I bought my keens, I bought a few pair. I ordered three different styles and 3 of each. Returned the ones I didn’t like. 3 pair for $40 each gets you through a year. Highly recommend checking amazon on Black Friday. Could be worth waiting a couple months. Got the onclouds free but I have plantar fasciitis and the keens, while not worn out, are just not as comfortable. So I foresee buying new onclouds when these wear out. Have about 6 or 7 rounds on them and they really don’t show any wear yet. But we probably don’t “wear” our shoes the same way.
Hi op, fellow 200 pound runner here, I’ve been using a mix of my nike zegama trail 2s and on cloudsurfer trail 2s, I will say the trails near me aren’t the most technical in the world so that may be where they fall short if you decide to try them. Just know the ride on the zegamas is kind of insane
Trail. Altra has the Offroad shoes and those are really comfortable. Also the On Cloudsurfers Trail are comfy.
The on cloudsurfer trail 2 would probably be pretty good for gravel. It’s a nice road to trail shoe with really good cushioning
