I got my On CloudUltra Pro’s a couple of weeks ago, and after hemming and hawing about not getting them in my Brannock device measured size of 12.5 I’ve accepted that going up a half size to a 13 in these $260 trail running shoes was a good choice for me. When spending hours on your feet more room is definitely better.
These new breathable uppers like the Cloudultra Pro have don’t really lend themselves to forming around your feet. But I’ve not gotten to 100 miles yet in these On shoes which are my first pair from that company, so we shall see.
Came here to say this. I was anti-on until I tried this shoe. I till think there lower end stuff is gimmicky but they high end seems worth looking at
I'm in an 11 in the Cloudultra Pro and an 11.5 in the ultra 3's. I have odd sized feet though, where I'm either between an 11 and an 11.5 and can seldom find that perfect fitting shoe (thank you Salomon s/lab Genesis). I was initially in an 11.5 in the Pro's, but was kicking so many rocks and catching my toes I had to go down a half size. I don't find that to be the case in the Cloudultra 3. I feel like the 3's have more volume in the toebox and are more spacious than the Pro's. They also feel more stable than the Pro's as well.
North Face Enduris 4 or On Cloudultra Pro are super comfy(biased I have both). Trabuco is pretty soft, its a higher volume shoe imo. I have tried Ultra Glide 4 and its pretty cushy and stable. Also, Wildhorse if you have a lower volume foot.
On’s Cloudultra Pros are the best trail shoes I’ve raced in by far. I use them for most of my 25 and 50Ks. I’ve heard good things about Adidas’ Terrex Agravic Speed Ultra 2s as well and will probably try those out next. I wanted to like NNormal like others have commented but wasn’t super impressed
Long time Bushido II guy myself, actually have 2 unopened men’s size 10s in my garage if you need one 👌 The On Cloud Ultra Pro is truly unbelievable— used it to train weeks of flat road miles on a beach trip, scrambling some ridges, and have worn them for 160km without ever having to tie or adjust them over the whole endeavor. What’s more, I have one pair with 650+km and another with 500+km on them and they’re still kicking.
On Cloud UltraPro is the shoe. Gives you the boost, never comes untied, is comfy and breathable 🤌🤌
Don’t waste energy thinking about it, just spring for the On Cloud UltraPro and you’re good-to-go.
They were absolute ass until 2022-2023 and there are still some strictly-lifestyle products, but the Cloud UltraPro is absolute fuego. I, personally, have run two hundreds in them and had to retie or adjust them zero times across the events. Katie Schide, Jeff Mogavero, Adrian McDonald, and Jeff Colt (among other folks) also have some unimpeachable results wearing these bad boys over the last couple of years. Worth noting that I’ve had multiple pairs with use >600mi.
On’s Cloud Ultra Pro is the truth. I’ve put 500mi on two different pairs and still enjoy them both. You will never look back once you try them.
