"I have noticed they fall short when it comes to any mid or slightly more than mid class scrambling. ... Current Salomon trail runners have to thick of a sole and cant feel rock well beneath them"
"Current Salomon trail runners have to thick of a sole and cant feel rock well beneath them ... maybe the ones I have just dont work well for this specific use case."

"The downside of trail runners to me (Solomans) was I would sometimes get foot bruises on sharp rocky ground. ... My Solomans had a rock plate (thank you for pointing out my omission), but I feel a big difference with my Murrell Moab's."

"I always hate wearing my Salomon trail runners in the city on sidewalks…"
Salomon glide max trail runners are super nice. The sole bed says something like “ortholite” on it. I needed a wide toe area but normal width everywhere else and I was able to put about 15,000 steps on them three times a week for half a year before I needed to replace them
r/AppalachianTrail • best trail runners for hip pain? ->This. I own the Glide Max TR, and love them, and a review saw said they are an upgraded version of that. Sounds good to me, next on the list.
r/AskRunningShoeGeeks • Help me pick out a new pair of light trail/gravel shoes that can work for daily runs as well ->I’ve used Salomon Glide Max TR on this kind of terrain and they work great.
r/trailrunning • Shoe recommandation for this type of terrain ->Plus one for Salomon. I have the max cushion glide trail tr and have been happy. Plus they have a steep discount going on their website and a good rewards program.
r/Ultramarathon • Trail Shoe Recommendation ->The Salomon has the Contagrip All Terrain. This Contagrip seems that is really really bad. I have the Salomon Quest Elements with Contagrip Mud and is amazing how good the grip is on wet rocks of the rivers. The problem with Salomon is that they only say "Contagrip" and not the kind of Contagrip... And reviewers only say Contagrip. To check the model of Contagrip you have to go to their website and search the shoe and see the details of it.
r/trailrunning • The best wet rock grip, Arcteryx, Adidas, Salomon, Altra, LaSportiva, Icebug, VJ ->I use Solomon trail runners, non-waterproof because my feet overheat easily in the summer. They've seen the presis in the summer without issues, and have decent grip.
r/wmnf • Boots for the Whites in Summer? ->I just ordered a pair from my local running store, only commenting to suggest you try them on first. I'm a 12 in Salomons and a 12 to 12.5 in Hokas, and I had to size up to a 13 in the 001s.
r/trailrunning • Norda. Yes or no? ->The best ones are the ones that fit!! I have wide toes and wore Solomon trail runners for a long time. I switched to Merrell Moab hikers a couple of years ago. Both are 13 Wide (EEE).
r/backpacking • What is the best trail runners for backpacking? ->The downside of trail runners to me (Solomans) was I would sometimes get foot bruises on sharp rocky ground. I switched to hiking shoes (Merrell's) and I feel it's a better compromise between trail runners and boots. Pretty light and more comfortable.
r/backpacking • Trail runners for backpacking ->My Solomans had a rock plate (thank you for pointing out my omission), but I feel a big difference with my Murrell Moab's. To each there own, I know trail runners are the favorite, the Moab works better for me (I have dainty feet, I guess).
r/backpacking • Trail runners for backpacking ->I've run the 10mi of this race a few times I've run it in Brooks Cascadias and some kind of Solomans. I run at Goverment canyon all the time with Merrill Antoras. I like having a rockplate because the canyon is full of rocks but I wouldn't consider it a need for McAllister park.
r/trailrunning • What type of shoes should I buy for this type of course? ->What do you want to do? I love my Solomon trail runners but if I'm sliding down shale I'll take the Keens all day long. Both are good brands in my experience.
r/HikingAlberta • Which one should i get? im both comfy with both its just im asking for the durability of the brands, any reviews is a great help. ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
