That's weird! I literally wear Saucony in freezing rain and snow. Mostly Kinvara, but also Ride and Speeds. Peregrine for trails.
r/trailrunning • Winter shoes ->Take a look at Saucony. Most of their road shoes have a decent tread that could easily handle occasional off-road use. For years I wore the Kinvara on trails in the PNW
r/trailrunning • Hybrid running shoe ->I like to switch my shoes daily. Saucony Peregine 13s (trails 1-2 times a week) HOKA Cliftons(least favourite shoe, primarily use them for easy runs, 1-2 a week) Saucony Kinvaras (a bit of an ‘everything’ shoe but trails. Primarily rest of week) Saucony Endorphin Speed 2 (once a fortnight and race day) Looking to buy a longer distance trail runner. Love the Peregines but you really start to “feel” it after a half marathon. So on the look out for a “ultra” style trail runner.
r/trailrunning • What's your running shoe quiver? ->Definitely. I use Saucony Peregrines or Kinvara, both of which have a 4mm drop. Peregrines have a rock plate. I think the drop helps you feel the trail. Both have very little stack height also.
r/trailrunning • Hello! For trail running do you typically want a lower drop shoe? I worry about rolling my ankle sometimes. What is ideal drop for trail running? ->Abso fucking lutely. No high stack shoes on trails. For me, my best trail runs are in things like Saucony Kinvara or if there are technical rocks and things, Peregrines.
r/trailrunning • Does anyone else find that shoes with high stacks make you more vulnerable to twisting an ankle on loose rock? I run in areas that have a high degree of loose large stones and I do not find high stack shoes to feel very safe ->Hey, I am wondering what people's go-to is for high mileage trail running. If it's dry I am usually just using Saucony Kinvara / Shift / Triumphs which are my daily trainer on the trails, but sometimes on technical sections they don't feel too stable. I tried Saucony Peregine 14 but it's not been my favorite so I am wondering if there's a go-to for a daily trainer for 50-60 mpw on trails?
r/AdvancedRunning • Tuesday Shoesday ->Kinvaras have been my goto for about a decade. They're my daily runner. I trade them out around 400 miles just to see a new color on my feet.
r/trailrunning • Saucony trail line review ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
