Take a look at Saucony. Most of their road shoes have a decent tread that could easily handle occasional off-road use. For years I wore the Kinvara on trails in the PNW

Another option, depending on how long the runs are are the Saucony Kinvara. I use them for groomed trails and they feel pretty good, light and you get a good ground feel but I would not use them for anything where I had to worry about stepping on rocks. I also use them for roads but because the stack hight is pretty low, I try to use them for runs under 7 miles or so, which is most runs for me.

Cascadia are good. I also like Saucony Peregrine and Kinvara for groomed trails.

This. I wear Kinvara on groomed trails; Peregrine when I'm facing rocks, mud or ice. I think there were some bad ones but I seem to have mostly missed those.

Definitely. I use Saucony Peregrines or Kinvara, both of which have a 4mm drop. Peregrines have a rock plate. I think the drop helps you feel the trail. Both have very little stack height also.

Hey, I am wondering what people's go-to is for high mileage trail running. If it's dry I am usually just using Saucony Kinvara / Shift / Triumphs which are my daily trainer on the trails, but sometimes on technical sections they don't feel too stable. I tried Saucony Peregine 14 but it's not been my favorite so I am wondering if there's a go-to for a daily trainer for 50-60 mpw on trails?

I’ve had decent luck with 4mm saucony shoes. But another great training aid for me is to hike in zero drop for building strength and run in the slightly cushier shoes. Might help keep you more robust.
