I just picked up the Saucony Ride TR2 after a recommendation on this sub. I took them out for a spin today and really liked them. They're not quite as soft as the regular Rides (which are my favourite daily trainer) but compared to the Juniper Trail 2 which I'd been using previously they were like clouds.
r/trailrunning • Trailrunning shoe that is stable and soft ->+1 for the ride TR2. Love mine. I’d say try them on though as I’m not sure I’d call them wide, unless they do a wide version. Or try the mens.
r/UKRunners • Wide(ish) fit road to trail shoe recommendations? ->I find that the Saucony Ride TR2 disappears under my feet just like the Glycerin 21 does. It has a similar ground feel and fits just the same for me too. It’s a marketed as a road to trail shoe but it can easily handle all sorts of terrain except for mud.
r/trailrunning • Trail shoe advice for someone who loves Brooks Glycerine? ->I recently bought a pair of Saucony Ride TR2s which are proving to be very impressive so far on both road and technical trail. They have a lot of cushioning but are still very stable.
r/trailrunning • Best road to trail shoe? ->What’s about the Ride TR2? They’re more cushioned and bouncy than the older TRs and just lovely to run in.
r/trailrunning • Trail shoes for in the woods ->Saucony Ride TR2. They’re marketed as being a road to trail shoe but I’ve found that they’re great on pretty rough terrain as long as you’re happy with a higher stack. I love them.
r/trailrunning • What shoes are you rocking at the moment? ->Saucony Ride TR2 is perfect for this. It’s well cushioned but stable and grips on all sorts of surfaces.
r/trailrunning • A versatile trail/road shoe ->The Saucony Ride TR2 feels exactly the same as the Ride road shoe. They’re marketed as a road to trail shoe but I find they’re great on pretty rough trails too.
r/trailrunning • Trail running shoes that fit like road runners ->I you like Rides then you should definitely look at the Ride TR2. It’s the R17 with a road to trail outsole and some slight changes to the upper. They’re great on anything except for mud and also incredibly durable.
r/trailrunning • Road-to-trail shoe recommendations? ->Saucony Ride TR2 works very well for me. It has plenty of cushioning and the outsole works well on pretty much any surface including quite technical or loose stuff.
r/trailrunning • Road to Trail shoe ->Saucony Ride TR2 does this kind of thing very well as it’s a daily road shoe with a light trail outsole. It’s cushioned, stable, bouncy and has enough grip for most situations.
r/trailrunning • Good Road to Trail shoe recommendations ->The Saucony Ride TR2 might be the answer. It’s basically the Ride 17 road shoe with a light trail outsole plus a bit of reinforcement to the upper. They’re nice and plush by trial shoe standards without being unstable, but they can easily handle fairly rocky trails.
r/trailrunning • Plush shoe for hard packed trails (not gravel🤣) ->Ride TR2 is a great shoe for this
r/trailrunning • Lightweight trail shoe that also doubles as a road runner? ->The Saucony Ride TR2 is an excellent road to trail shoes which fits quite wide. They have a lot of cushioning too and feel like a road shoe rather than a stiff trail one.
r/UKRunners • Wide(ish) fit road to trail shoe recommendations? ->I use the Saucony TR2 and also have wide feet. They are fine for a couple of km on pavements but drag easily if you run tired and don’t pick your feet up. Once you hit the gravel, grass, or mud then they come alive.
r/trailrunning • Beginner in need of trail shoes ->That's weird! I literally wear Saucony in freezing rain and snow. Mostly Kinvara, but also Ride and Speeds. Peregrine for trails.
r/trailrunning • Winter shoes ->If you're running mostly road, I'd lean more to a road trainer - something with a moderate (or lower) stack height for stability on the trails. Especially during the summer, a lot of mid level trainers (Nike Pegs, Saucony Rides, NB Rebels, etc) should be fine on most trails and will better serve you on a majority of your runs.
r/trailrunning • Hybrid running shoe ->Saucony Ride TR is an excellent hybrid model.
r/ultrarunning • Shoes for combined trail and road ->I quite enjoy Saucony Ride TR, but even regular Rides are fine. Asics Fujitrabuco max are nice too.
r/trailrunning • Lightweight trail shoe that also doubles as a road runner? ->I quite enjoy Saucony Ride TR, but even regular Rides are fine. Asics Fujitrabuco max are nice too.
r/trailrunning • Lightweight trail shoe that also doubles as a road runner? ->Saucony Peregrines for me too. I have their Edge Pro and Ride TR, but I love the peregrines the best
