(I run for speedland, disclosure) I haven’t ran in the Mount to Coast, so can’t compare for you. But I have put miles in over a dozen pairs of speedland shoes and my objective few talking points are: I haven’t had a pair wear down to a point of retiring them before 700 miles (and that’s only happened with one pair). They can fit quite differently model to model I’ve really enjoyed the Boa system. Previously was an Altra guy and personally prefer the boa vs lace systems way more than expected when I started using them Some models I’ve found have more of a break in period than others. Unsure what the determining factor is but I’ve had some I can run 20+ in out of the box and others I need to break in a little more

Yep! I have the road shoes as well but keep everything else on trail. Have used them heavily in the PNW and Canadian Rockies. They’ve had models I’ve liked far more than others, ran my last 100 in a single pair of the TAM without any issue. Objectively a great shoe, obviously pricy but I’ve had zero durability issues. I used to blow out the sides of my lone peaks (which I liked as a shoe) and get to do that with any of the SL

I tried the PDX and Tam 2 years ago and currently run in the MTC R1 (~100 miles) and T1 (~50 miles). I don't have them side by side though. The Speedlands were ok but nothing special, there were already other fast shoes like Nnormal Kerag and Salomon Pulsar series, and long run/ultra shoes like the Saucony Endorphin Edge that worked great for me at a fraction of the price and lighter to boot. I don't care for boa, they add to costs, bulk, maybe weight and for me would be a hardware solution for a minor problem having to do with attention to detail when just lacing up. R1 fits my feet well which is a major item for me, durability is good so far, and runs well enough. Will take time to compare to the Endorphin Speed 3s I enjoyed for a few years because I could get 900-1000+ miles/pair out of them and the current Endorphin Speed 4s are notably too narrow. T1 is what the Speedgoat or MTN Racer could be. Fits my wide feet well, good amount of bouncy cushioning that I don't feel like I'm fighting when picking up the pace, and solid traction.

I have experience with both brands, really like both brands. I have not worn the M2C trail shoe, however I’m on my 3rd pair of R1’s. They are great, I typically put about 400-450 miles on them and then grab a new pair. I could probably push them longer. Speedland I’ve worn the RX FPY and the GS trail series. I like those too, though I prefer them without a plate. I wear the same size in both. Both are very durable up to and past 400 miles.

I like my speedland GS much better than the H1. Better for my feet and more cushioned.

Speedlands GS models are awesome. Mount to coast h1 is great for road to flowy trails. Their T1 is great for chunky steep stuff.

Speedland GS. My go to winter shoe for the past two seasons, unreal traction and durability

Came here to say this! The Speedland GS are unreal. People are scared of the price tag but they will feel like new after 500+ miles

I’ve been using Speedland shoes for over a year. Changed the game for me and I’ll probably never go back to “big box” shoes

Said it before and I’ll say it again. Speedland shoes are unreal. Wide toe box, cushy, great traction and will outlast just about any other shoe I’ve ever ran in. Worth every penny!

No one is going to take my recommendation seriously based on their price point. But the Speedland GS series has been my go-to for high volume running. I got 850 miles out of my first pair before the tread was completely gone. If it hadn’t of been for the tread, they still had plenty of miles of comfortable running in them. I’m on my 2nd pair of GS and they are at 387 miles and still going strong.

850+ miles on a pair or Speedland GS. Tread is worn off but the ride is still perfectly fine.

I was wary bc of the price at first also. After trying them I won't be going back though. Quality and customer support is top notch.
