Versatile road-to-trail, but struggles on wet, technical downhills.

I would try out: North Face Vectiv Enduris Has a nylon plate and gets great reviews. $160 Otherwise you can try more expensive… North Face Vectiv Pro Adidas Agravic Speed Ultra I have the Pro and the Ultra. Like them both. I plan to try the Enduris as I know a lot of people who love it
Haven't tried the Sky, but I've worn just about every other TNF shoe. They've pretty much all run true to size for me. I also normally wear an 11.5 and that's what I've used for my Vectiv Pros, Enduris, and Altamesas.
Heat and humidity are your friend. Build that blood volume. Shoes wise, it is not technical and a lot of mining roads. I used some older TNF vectiv pros and they did well. Comfy and cushioned is what I wanted. Gaters are not a bad idea, lots of gravel to get into your shoes.
I'm willing to buy shoes online from brands that I have good experience with (and I can compare the new shoe to their older model from some online review) or I need to try them in a store or ideally during some club run event. In Czechia TNF running shoes are hard to find in person. I've tried old Vectiv model in some skyrunning expo. I had to downsize (ie. risk for any future online purchase - downsize or normal size?) and the midsole was quite unstable and harsh. I'd need to firstly get convinced by trying them out before really considering them. On the other hand from the years of running I'm comfortable with buying online shoes from many other brands, so there is no need for me to risk it with TNF.
I avoid asphalt as much as I can and I don’t think I shuffle too much. I’ve put a decent amount of miles into my Zegama 2s, north face vectivs, Salomon’s, and ultrafly before retiring them and they held up pretty well. This is the first pair of trail shoes that looks like they took a beating early on. It is a great shoe though
There's probably 50 pair that will work for you. I'm a big fan of the north face trail runners \*vectiv line, maybe have a look at them. New Nike Zegama 2 might be worth a look too, since you know how Nike shoes fit.
