I specifically looked for one that was Swedish plus tested and wasn’t bothered about it fitting on the pram as they can’t be in the seats for long anyway. So we went for the brand BeSafe (which is 360 swivel)

What centiles is your baby? You can look at the Besafe Beyond which is on an ISOfix base and swivels, but it's not cheap, I'll warn you now, hah, currently about £600. Anything on an ISOfix base will only suit children on lower centiles because they all have lower weight limits than tethered seats (due to the ISOfix). Otherwise your child will grow out of them too quickly. We have this seat its OK until 22kg and 125cm height. We love it but my toddler trends on the 50th centile so he'll be able to use until until 6 years old. A 98th centile child will outgrow this seat at 4 years old, so it would be better to go for a tethered seat in that case. Even though it's at the top end of the market, we justified it because we bought it when my son was 7 months old, so he will get 5.5 years of use out of it. For something we use multiple times a week, £100ish a year for something that allowed the swivel (our preference too) and is Swedish Plus Tested, it was worth it to us. Zero regrets, it's a great seat.

Sorry to jump on this, and if you’re joining the FB group suggested maybe you’ll have the advice anyway, but a lot people find the Maxi Cosi inserts especially for the next stage seats aren’t the most supportive and the shell is very short so it’s often outgrown really quickly relative to other seats so it might not last until a safe booster age. If you want a modular system we have the BeSafe Beyond system which has been amazing and the toddler seat lasts up until 125cm rather than 105cm which will be a big difference for my tall child. If your baby is likely to be lower centiles the Cybex Cloud/ Sirona will be more supportive for a modular system. But often, the toddler seats which fit into the newborn base are aren’t any cheaper than buying an isofix seat whose base is attached. I saw in another comment that you said you were considering weight as a factor for the infant carrier, and if you are then one of the Avionaut infant carriers would be great. They are both incredibly supportive, the Pixel is more expensive and is lighter and offers the best newborn positioning on the market, and the Cosmo is cheaper, and still fantastic positioning for newborn and beyond and lightweight. Neither lay flat but they don’t need to because the inserts are so supportive then keep the chin off the chest easily even in the baby is tiny. And in a crash it’s safer for the baby to be in a more insight position than a reclined one.

A handful of time, but could have lived without it. One thing I’d be careful with over seats which say they grow with the baby is they often provide a poor fit for newborns despite saying on the box they’re ok. There are a few suitable seats which are supportive enough: If your baby is likely to be smaller centiles these would probably get them to a safe booster seat age: * Axkid Spinkid * Besafe izi Twist/Turn B If your baby is likely to be bigger/taller then I’d look at these * Avionaut Stardust * Avionaut Sky * Axkid One + * Besafe Stetch B

I got my Mama's and Papa's Ocarro 2nd hand in a charity shop for £60 and then got a new mattress for the carry cot directly from Mama's and Papa's. I always knew I wanted to get a separate car seat for my other halfs car (I don't drive) because the ones that come with the travel systems aren't the best for baby in terms of positioning and safety. Avionaut pixel pro or cosmo are really good and can get universal adapters to attach them to the frame but I went for the besafe izi twist b i-size which stays in the car. Definitely check out Market Place because you can get some amazing deals. My sister in law picked up an amazing quality Egg pushchair for when she looks after my little one for about £30!

Check out Swedish plus tested seats too for the absolute safest options if that is something you value. We have the BeSafe izi twist B. It rotates but cannot face forwards. It’s a great seat. Super comfortable and most importantly, super safe.

We are on our 2nd BeSafe. It is from Denmark and I cannot find details regarding manufacturing country, so I am hoping for the best 🤞🏻
