I just had my baby and we started with a convertible car seat. I have the Britax One4Life Slim and it’s been working well. Baby seems happy in it, he has had happy car rides so far. Easy to install as well IMO.
Yeah it’s annoying to move them. If you really want one that’s easy to install and my weak arms didn’t find too heavy, I would suggest Britax One4Life. I have the slim option and it was easy to install because of the clicktight installation.
I love the Britax One4Life and it just came out in a slimmer version that lets you do 3 across if you need to. Super easy to install but heavy so not the seat to be moving between cars. If it had been out when I purchased a seat, I would have gone with the Cybex Callisto rotating seat without a doubt!!! I saw it last weekend and am obsessed. The canopy is super cool and I’ve heard it’s easy to install. [Britax One4Life](https://amzn.to/4hScK8k) [Cybex Callisto 360](https://amzn.to/3WSN4Pq)
We love our Britax One4Life Slim!! It has similar material quality to Nuna with a better price point.
OK, without brands this is what I used. 1. Bassinet thing that hooked into the stroller. Really loved this. The first 3 months felt like a year. I took her for walks in it and she slept in the bassinet at night on a stand. I had her in 2. Infant carseat. I didn't know they even made one you could use from the start until after I had her. I thought you had to buy two. In retrospect it was nice carrying her in/out of the house with. But at stores I carried her in a baby carrier, never put the carseat in the cart like I had always imagined. Two bases was clutch 3. One for life carseat is kind of cool. We had to buy one at 6 months, she is a 99 percentile baby and outgrew the infant one fast. We bought two. Expensive but necessary convenience with our living situation. I know the feeling of being overwhelmed with choices. I literally found a baby store in a city an hour from my house, drove there, made them show me them all. I needed to touch before buying. Good luck!
I use the Britax one. It's like a luggage cart, folds up, and goes in the overhead bin when we get on the plane. I do use a Britax Poplar since it's narrow, and I can wheel it down the aisle. Previously, we used a one4life (also britax) but had to carry it through the plane since it was so wide (dont recommend)
MX 6 seat dad of 4 9,7,5,3 yrs old. Space is adequate for a family that size. Trunk space behind third row is tight for big strollers, fit our Britax jogging stroller fine. Britax car seats throughout, boosters in third row are narrow enough to fit two across. Britax click tights are easy to install. When I had an infant car seat I had a base in my car and base in wife’s, so we just clicked her in. Falcon doors makes it so easy to lean in and pick up the car seat. I love having automatic doors for the big kids, no dinging adjacent cars. A van door does the same job but then you’re driving an uncool van. The independent seats work great with a car seat on it, but you don’t have to move them often because my bigger kids can get to the back from the little aisle between the second row seats. Kids love the light show dance moves, emissions test, draw feature and rear screen. If there was like 10% more interior room it would be perfect, but it’s still great.
