Has she been using a harness or three point belt in her old seat? We have two seats, we use both with the three point belt. One is the Chicco myfit (forward facing harnesses booster seat that can also be used as a high back booster) and the other a Britax highline or skyline (high back booster that later can be used as a backless booster). We chose the britax over the Chicco kid fit for higher height limits. Depending on how tall your kid is, this may or may not matter. My kid prefers the MyFit. www.csftl.org is a great resource with lots of seat reviews and also checklists on what to look for before using a three point belt/ high back booster/ backless booster/ no car seat at all.

Then I’d go for a high back booster that can go to a backless booster! We chose britax for the high limits for the shoulder belt guide.

If your budget allows absolutely get the Pria! I did for our second (due soon) even though I could have just bought 2 cheaper forward facing seats for our 3.5yo as I want the no tether (also a little more leg room than the graphene as they grow if extended rear facing). Some people don’t seem bothered about the tether but it drove me nuts (my partner would just lift 1st over/under the tether so it would be done up if I came after him and I had to awkwardly juggle child & bags to get it undone before putting him in the car). In saying that the graphene is also a good seat (we have one for first child), though I will note as he got bigger the anti rebound bar started getting in the way a bit of his legs while rear facing (not a safety issue just an annoyance). So for primary car I would highly recommend a pria, if you have a second car and want another seat the graphene is good (or the brava/quickfix for the more basic model of the graphene without some of the bells & whistles)

more expensive does nooot mean safer! you can search “(car seat name) safety rating” & find results i personally like a convertible seat & just using bassinet on a stroller or wearing baby in a wrap/carrier because infant seats only last until around age 1. convertible car seats last until they’re in a booster (8yo ish depending on weight & height) here’s a bunch you can look into because there are tons of options out there my favorite infant seats in cheapest to most expensive order all in usd joie rue $169.99 graco snugride snugfit dlx $239.99 graco gomax $249.99 joie mint latch $299.99 top favorite - chicco keyfit max zip cleartex $299.99 uppababy mess v3 $349.99 britax cypress w/ alpine base $379.99 nuna pipa aire rx + relx base $650 for convertible seats i personally don’t like any rotating seat because they all have low rearfacing limits & extended rearfacing is absolutely the safest thing you can do. one of the only things you can control as a parent safety wise. most of these also can be used for a newborn 50lb rearfacing limit ⬇️ graco extend 2 fit 3 in 1 $269.99 graco 4ever extend2fit $379.99 britax one4life $439.99 britax poplar s $399.99 nuna rava next $580 under 50lb rearfacing limit ⬇️ joie saffron si 4 in 1 $249.99 graco 4ever dlx $319.99 chicco one fit max $379.99

that is probably one of the only ones i would use or the new britax galaxy! there’s nothing wrong with them at all!! i just personally dont like that majority are super low limits! i should’ve included those are the only ones i would consider! i also just dont think it would be functional for me, i dont have any issues putting kiddos in a non rotating seat, & don’t feel like i would ever use the rotating feature!
