I like my Chico!! I had a maxi cosi before and this is way better
r/moderatelygranolamoms • So torn on infant car seat - Uppababy or Chicco? ->Commenting that i have the same set up and find it no big deal at all either! the adapter sits by our door in the car seat and goes into the trunk with my cruz base. We only use the car 1-2 times per week anyways. I found the Chicco really easy to install and was an excellent price point, and do not all regret or resent not having the "matching" car seat. Would make the same choice again.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • So torn on infant car seat - Uppababy or Chicco? ->If you're set on a Chicco Keyfit, but don't want to use an adapter for the car seat, I'd seriously consider the Chicco Corso Travel System. It has basically all the features as an Uppababy Cruz (which is basically a Vista without the option to extend to a double stroller) but from Chicco. Can click in the car seat right into the frame which I love. Then the stroller seat can be forward or parent facing which is super important and something I didn't consider enough with our first stroller because we thought baby would have been in the bucket seat longer. Lol jokes on us, he hated it and we swapped him to an Evenflo Revolv car seat at like 5 months? So we had to switch to the main stroller seat but we had a Bravo which cannot parent face. So that didn't work as well for us as we hoped. Our friends loved it though. If you feel like you need the bassinet I'd look at Uppababy or Nuna though because I believe both have one and Chicco doesn't. If that isn't a want for you guys, I'd definitely consider looking at the Corso and comparing it to the Uppababy Vista/Cruz and some of the Nuna stuff. You could also totally get the Chicco stroller frame initially which is just for the car seat and then get a stroller with a baby/toddler seat once you have a better idea of what you want and how you'll use it. I wouldn't look at a specific travel stroller until they're older (well over 6 months). But our favorite is the Munchkin Sparrow Ultra if you want something compact and that's basically a fancy umbrella stroller. Not a lot of storage but if you just need it for airports, hotels, and similar situations, it's fantastic. Best of luck hun. ETA sorry I missed the bassinet thing. Either get the adapter for the car seat for Uppababy or Nuna unless there's a stroller you like more for the bassinet. If you don't think you'll have a second kid very close in age, I'd consider the Cruz over the Vista for the weight. That way you're not paying for the expand to double feature if you're not gonna use it
r/BabyBumps • Need help choosing infant car seat + stroller system (Houston, first-time dad) ->We bought the Chicco Corso travel system and I absolutely love it. It’s super easy to switch the attachments to either snap the car seat in or smart the modular seat in. We also had the infant insert so that baby could use the modular seat from the newborn stage. We use the car seat click in attachment when we’re just running into the store quickly and use the seat for all other times.
r/beyondthebump • Car seat + Stroller ->I have a Chicco Corso travel system and the whole set is occasionally on sale at Target for less than/just about $500. There is also the Bravo system which is slightly more expensive but to me the corso was plenty good enough. Baby girl is 7 months old and so far I am very pleased
r/BabyBumps • Strollers and Car Seat on a Budget ->That was our exact thought process as well. Got a gently used Uppababy Cruz with a new Chicco Keyfit Max. Only used it for a month so far but no complaints!
r/Buyingforbaby • talk me out of the nuna car seat... or into it! ->We found our used one on fb marketplace for $250, I really don’t think I could’ve justified it full price! But we lucked out because it’s in great condition and was in the color I would’ve ordered had I bought it new haha
r/Buyingforbaby • talk me out of the nuna car seat... or into it! ->It depends on the vehicle, but one of the most versatile combinations is 2 Chicco Keyfit 35/Keyfit Max infant seats (which are compatible with the vista!) and one Graco Slimfit3 LX for toddler. Not any other Slimfit- it has to be the Slimfit3 LX.
r/parentsofmultiples • Infant car seats that work for 3-across and are stroller compatible? ->I have the same system am very happy with it. We walk a lot, and I love the tires and suspension on this bad boy. Also love the one handed fold of the stroller.
r/BabyBumps • Strollers and Car Seat on a Budget ->I love my Chicco Corso, and honestly it looks almost identical to some of the more expensive strollers.
r/BabyBumps • Strollers and Car Seat on a Budget ->I would skip the travel system. Buy a car seat and a stroller that you like. A lot of brands have adaptors to fit whatever car seat you want (I think Chicco is the exception here - they don’t have adaptors for their strollers). We got a Chicco bravo/keyfit travel system with my oldest. He HATED that seat and we switched him to a convertible seat by 5 months. We reused it for my second and she ALSO hated it. I got a nicer Graco seat for her and it changed everything. We also weren’t huge fans of the Chicco stroller but it folded easily and was one of the few at the time that had an adjustable handle height. We ditched that stroller for a nicer one (mockingbird) with #2 (I suggest starting with a single to double stroller if you want to have more kids in the future) and the nicer stroller had a universal car seat adaptor, but we only took her in the stroller in the car seat a few times. I primarily babywore whenever we went shopping and the stroller is just for walks. You can skip the bucket seat all together if you want and go straight to a rotating seat (we have the Chicco fit360 and love it), the bucket seat is just convenient for taking into the doctors office or wherever when they’re super fresh or getting them buckled in inside in the winter/summer.
r/Mommit • Help! Drowning in a Car Seat and Sea of Strollers - Need a Lightweight Safe Travel System for a Newborn that they can grow into. ->Eh my kids never slept through taking the bucket seat out of the car so that wasn’t really a concern of mine when swapping to a convertible seat. The bucket seats are just convenient because in those super early days you want to be able to set baby down somewhere (outside of the house) easily to fill out forms or do shopping but you don’t want to set your newborn on the ground in the doctor’s office, so having the bucket seat is really nice. My kids just hated the *chicco* bucket, my daughter loved her Graco one. The chicco one always had her chin on her chest even when the bubble level said it was in properly and I think she just couldn’t breathe well. It may have been that way for my oldest too but we were inexperienced and didn’t know better. For the stroller, I just suggest building your own travel system instead of buying one already paired up. Travel sets force you into buying a car seat you don’t like because you want the stroller or a stroller that’s mid because you like the car seat. But so many brands of strollers have adaptors to work with other brands of car seats so you don’t have to compromise on either. I only mentioned Chicco because they’re the only brand I know of that doesn’t have adaptors for other brands (Graco is usually their main competition but I think even Graco has adaptors for some brands)
r/Mommit • Help! Drowning in a Car Seat and Sea of Strollers - Need a Lightweight Safe Travel System for a Newborn that they can grow into. ->We had the Chicco cleartex infant seat and now have the Chicco cleartex rotating seat and love it! If you decide to go with a jogging stroller, we are obsessed with our Guava stroller! Have used it twice a day for over a year and it is still good as new!
r/moderatelygranolamoms • FTM- help solve the car seat / stroller debate? ->I had an infant car seat then switched to rotating convertible at 4m and wish I went with convertible from the start. We never used the infant car seat as a method of transportation if you want to call it that, it always stayed in the car and we just took baby out into stroller or carried her home or baby wore. Our main stroller is the UB vista and our infant car seat was the Chicco key fit and our convertible was evenflo 360.
r/NewParents • Did you use an infant car seat or convertible? What stroller? ->Chico key fit is one of the top rated car seats on consumer reports. (#2 I believe) and affordable. I got the jogging stroller that is compatible and we love it. It’s very maneuverable and the large Wheels are great for sidewalks. It’s much smoother than other strollers we have with smaller wheels.
r/pregnant • Infant car seat and compatible stroller - tell me the truth - help!! ->Not all carseats fit your car. We have smaller vehicles so we needed a compact bucketseat that was compatible. Most strollers will have adapters so you dont have to stick with the same brand across the board. We have a Chicco keyfit infant bucket seat and a Uppababy stroller. We liked the UB strollers and got the bassinet that you can swap the seat with when they're small. Most strollers require babies to have some kind of head control before you can use them in a more upright position but the UB reclined back and paired with their infant insert made it usable from day 1 if we wanted. But as we do a ton of walking, we have the bassinet that clicks in and is also safe sleep rated. So she sleeps there at night as well at our bedside. Eventually I will probably get a smaller travel stroller to keep in my car but our OB Cruz2 is perfect for our neighbourhood and the long walks we do from home. It mostly fits into my trunk so I can take it places but it does take up room.
r/BabyBumps • Car seats and strollers? ->Yes - this is the answer. Thank you. We didn't know we could install the car seat without the base. We have a Chicco Keyfir with the Uppababy stroller and this is a perfect solution
r/Guelph • Transportation for Babies? ->This is the answer. Thank you. I had no idea I could use our car seat without the base.
r/Guelph • Transportation for Babies? ->We have the Chicco keyfit system- two car bases, the car seat with the infant insert, and stroller base. It was about $400 and we’re set to transport her around for at least 18 mo-2 years in the car and even longer in the stroller. My issue with the bassinet attachments on strollers is the baby is only in it for a few months- after that it’s so impractical to store somewhere! This has worked really well for us so far, and we got it based off of 2 separate parents with 6 kids spread across them that recommended it. Another plus is that the car bases are relatively inexpensive- making it easy for my parents to get one too for babysitting.
r/NewParents • Car Seats and Strollers ->Look up Ruvalino on Amazon. Lots of color options, lots of storage, and best of all, not expensive (and they also run sales all the time). For the car seat/stroller we got the Chicco Corso/Keyfit system. Still use the stroller now that my kiddo is almost two! I went with recommendations from friends who are parents and have passed these to newer parents and we’ve all had good experiences without overspending.
