CYBEX - Cloud G Lux with SensorSafe

I also got Cybex everything due to it being a good deal (and free $400 platinum footmuff) - I ended up with the e-Gazelle with Cloud G Lux car seat. The e-Gazelle was excellent, particularly the rocking feature which helped my baby sleep in restaurants, outdoor events, and at friends’ places. I also liked the fact that the Cloud G car seat extends to almost lay flat so baby was not confined to one position while outside the car. These items are not light however, so may be difficult for some people to lift. I agree that MSRP is too much, but on sale it was well worth every penny.

I ended up getting cybex everything due to a good deal. CYBEX priam stroller CYBEX cloud g lux car seat. I personally don't think cybex is worth it's MSRP. Looking at bugaboo butterfly 2 for a travel stroller.

I don’t know what is meant to be better about the Cybex Cloud T but I have the Cybex Cloud G and am very happy with it. My mum looks after baby once a week and she just puts the car seat in her car with the seatbelt so she doesn’t have another base. I personally think the travel system is not that important. I think I used the car seat on the pram once! It was easier just to transfer baby from the car seat to the bassinet. Or if it’s a short distance then just carry the car seat.

I also managed to snatch a Cybex Cloud G from Amazon at around 630aed (like 50% off) that is compatible with the Yoyo3 with an adapter + works as a car seat for up to 2yo. Makes sense for us because we will need to travel quite often and the cybex is airline approved + the Yoyo3 is cabin approved as well so we can easily travel with the kid. If you still have some time before the due date then keep an eye for discounts and don’t stress much about getting everything straight away. Sometimes we miss out on really good deals and now soon you’ll get Black Friday deals etc.

So we ordered a G but when we came to collect they'd been recalled because of some manufacturing or safety issues, so we were loaned a T for a while. Whilst the T was very good whilst baby was small (she was prem and the T is suitable for prem babies whereas I don't think the G is), when the G came back in stock we swapped it back and omg the G is much lighter, definitely a win as your baby gets heavier. Both seats are compatible with our mamas and papas trav system and they both use the same base so we should still be able to move up to a Sirona afaik.

We have a Cybex Cloud T in our car and just got a Cloud G at a very good price on Black Friday. The Cloud T was considerably more expensive and we wanted a seat that was airline approved. A few reasons for buying it: - Cost of renting in a single trip we’re doing after Christmas is higher than buying ours - We’re going back to my home country early next year to visit grandparents, but they live in different cities. Taxis there are not exempt and I don’t want to rely on car rental companies as I don’t know the history of those seats or the hygiene standards. - We’re aware that European seats might not be legal in the US, so that may be the only exception, although I’ve heard of many people that just take theirs. - I plan to ask the car seat to be gate checked to avoid rough handling. But I like the idea of buying a sturdy bag and packing other things with it. We’ve done this recently with our Dragonfly pram and took so many things with it for free. LO is almost 5 months old, so will travel on our lap / bassinet.

We checked it in. I was overly protective about the seat and kept it in the original box plus stuffed the voids with diapers and other stuff we needed. Then I placed inside a car seat bag from Amazon which gave me (and handlers) straps / handles to carry it. On arrival, I installed the seat in the rental car and flattened the box for use on the return flight.

I don’t think it fits overhead btw. As far as I’m aware you either gate check it (depending on the airline) or buy a seat for the baby to use it onboard.

We absolutely did our car seat on the pram wheels to death it was so useful as we pop out a lot, we had the cybex cloud that reclined as well so that was useful. I’d definitely get an infant carrier cos you’ll want to transfer them into the house under cover if it’s raining and you can’t do that with the multi stage.

Infant carrier car seats as well as isofixes. Do you really trust a random person to be honest about the history of the car seat? The thing in which you transport your new baby? It is also not only an accident but a drop or a fall can also cause damage. Especially important in infant carriers that get used for so much more than just car rides. It can have internal damage without being visible on the outside. Also, they expire. The maximum life span is 7 to 10 years. The cheapest maxi Cosi is less than 50 eurosnew. Friends or family, perhaps, but I’d rather go with a cheap new seat than a used one. They might not remember it fell or it might be too old. Isofixes are a little bit less risky because you don’t move them that often but again, not recommended to buy second hand. Friends and family should be fine.

Okay, i did extensive research on this topic. The cybex T cloud and the maxi Cosi pebble 360 pro seem to be the safest infant carrier car seats. There are a few other that also test quite well in collisions but often don’t offer the recline function. If you want to do your own research, also look at side collision test results. Chat gpt can help you with the test results. Every seat has it’s own isofix and real car seats have their own different isofixes. I don’t think you can mix and match. The seat and isofix you must buy new or use from someone you know really well. Don’t buy them second hand. For a real car seat, same. Check the test results. The weight limit on rear facing is very important. Rear facing is recommended until four yo or 22-25kg. We personally really like swivelling car seats as my partners car is an suv. We are probably going with the growing seat of maxi Cosi (the new one). I would steer clear of doona type car seats. They are very convenient but don’t offer suspension and are often used as strollers which is not good for the infant. They are expensive and not stroller compatible. For me not worth it. Strollers really depend on what it is what you are looking for. On my list I have real tires, big front tires, ventilated moses basket (preferably with anti reflux possibilities), large sunshade upf 50+ and a comfortable toddler seat. I highly suggest going to a big baby store and trying these out yourself. Height of the bar might be a very determining factor as well.

car seat i’d say go to an independent car seat shop to get advice. never buy 2nd hand and i’d buy an infant car seat first. in the 0-4 year car seats you rarely get a safe fit for a newborn. my inlaws have the joie spin and babe only got somewhat of a good fit at about 6+ months. We have a cybex cloud T which can be used without isofix and is as safe used on a seatbelt; however there’s excellent cheaper options - i heard great things about the avionaut and friends have maxicosi. Pram - i’d think about your lifestyle - ie do you go into smaller spaces, live in a building with stairs, small car etc or do you need something all terrain because you go on lots of country/off road walks etc. work your way back from an essential vs nice to have list and then check fb marketplace or similar. also check sales; sometimes you can get amazing deals!
