Cloud T i-Size

We went with the Cybex cloud t I size because it fits our stroller, rotates 360, can lie flat and can be used without the base when travelling. For us that ticked every box that we wanted.

Yea before baby arrived I envisaged using the bassinet of the pram but I ended up getting the lie flat cybex cloud t and thank god I did lol my son HATED the bassinet of the pram and tbh it never felt very safe to me as obviously you cant strap them in. In the very early days I was too sore from a caesarean to walk that far so car seat on pram was fine and when he was older he wanted to look around so the car seat was better anyway. By 4 months I had swapped to the proper pram part and retired the bassinet entirely. If I have another kid I anticipate it will be the same. But definitely try to get a lie flat car seat if you can. Cybex has adaptors for most pram bases.

Both parents with back issues (mind your backs - you only get one! 😅) so its a vote for rotation here. Rotating was a huge plus. Tbh the whole travel system was a gift, so that broadened our options. We got the Cybex. The rotating base is used for the next stage seat (which I probably need to order too 😂).

At home we have the cybex I cloud and base. Our baby loves it and always sleeps as soon as the car takes off. We recently rented a car seat in the states not sure what model it was but I think basic and uncomfortable (cosco brand) . Well she's scream bloody murder in it the whole time she was in it. Since we came back home again she was fine. So car seat does seem to make a difference
