Really enjoyed my Cybex Sirona S2 rotating seat, all the way up to my kid growing out of it. Narrow parking? Rolled down the window and did the seatbelt with the door almost closed. Kid sleeping? Tilt the seat back a bit, so the head doesn’t hang on chest. Sold mine used for 20% of the price of new.
We have the Cybex Sirona S2 for a car seat. Our car is on the smaller side and it has the relatively smallest factor for 360 car seats we could find. The “golden standard” here in the UK is the Joie spin 360 but it’s extremely bulky. Our stroller was an iCandy that we got second hand from a friend. It had the worst closing mechanism i have ever seen in my life. It took me 30 mins to figure out how to close it the first time and i have not met a single person that were able to close it even after i explained it to them. Our parents, our friends, they would all ask us to close it after they used it because they could not make it work (the mechanism was working properly it was just a weird design) And that is what made me realise what i wrote above. After just a week of use, both me and my wife could handle that crime against UX in our sleep.
They may go through the same tests but it doesn't mean they are same level safety wise. But also more expensive doesn't mean safer. My advice is to get one that is easy to install because the seat is safe only if it's properly installed. And also it should be easy to use. We have Cybex Sirona S2 in both cars for our toddler and we love them.
I have used a Maxi-Cosi 360 of some sort, Cybex cloud z I-size and a sirona (interchangeable on same swivel base) and a seatbelt chomping one too, all on the back seats. For the isofix ones I bought an adapter from Bezos. I don’t put them in the front because they are savages and my front seats are custom upholstered recaros but I much preferred the stability of the isofix adapter.
Our Maxi Cosi Cabriofix has done 2 babies and is about to have a 3rd; bonus is that it attaches to a Yoyo which has been particularly helpful when flying with the car seat. As our son got bigger we swapped him to a Cybex Sirona 360 which rear faces in our main car, and a Graco slimfit R129 which also rear faces for our second car and when we go abroad. Car Seat Safety UK is a good FB group (although they’re a bit militant about rear facing!) but they will do fit checks for you.
Yes the 2nd row has good amount of space for car seats. One of the main reasons we went with a CRV. We have 2020 and installed the Cybex Sirona 360 car seat (one of bigger car seats)
We've had both. Cybex 360 generally was just annoying enough to not bother using it.
I like my Cybex 360
