"We travel often, and it’s been the best thing ever. It goes in a plane!"
"is easy to get in to cars and taxis without the base"
"Doona is great for getting through the airport and to a family member home. ... the doona can fit through a TSA scanner ... it's easy to wheel through the airport ... can easily be checked (they make nice bags for them)."

"I'm 5'10" and never had a problem with the height of the handle. ... My 3yo loves to push his brother around with the handle at the lower level. ... My wife is 5'4" and either handle level works for her."

"we've probably put 100+ miles on this as a stroller between errands, travel, trips to the park, etc. ... It handles quite well"

"If you have wild kids or go over not perfectly smooth sidewalks, it's not great."
"The minu is basically a janky doll stroller in comparison lol. ... I can take the vista across gravel or grass with no issue. The minu is so uncomfortable for my kid and the steering is so stiff and the wheels are tiny. I never use it and wish I hadn’t ever bought it honestly!"
"Walking around, we hit an uneven bit of pavement and it would have tipped over if I hadn’t had a good grip on it."

"Mine is malfunctioning already, and I just got it too.... FML. HDMI works but Type C connection stops working."
"3 months of constant use and the screen blackout on me. ... others have similar complaints of durration so i'd say no ... was playing rivals then suddenly the monitor turned off. after unplugging it waiting a while i was able to power it but the display won't show nor light up but the sound is working. ... looking into this there have been numerous complaints about the longevity of the device. ... FUCK NO, GO OLED! just not this one"
"I wouldn't count on JBL for longevity personally. ... Stinks to have to replace that that soon tho 2 years is a joke. ... longevity in home theater systems isn't my first place I'd give them points."

"heavy as hell"
"getting stressed out about the whole process of plugging in, lifting, storing the giant Kirby and not vacuuming at all in the end."
"You do NOT want a Kirby if you have stairs - trust me."

"it's a dumb little stroller and I looked ridiculous at 5'10" pushing it around"
"it’s very short so if you’re remotely tall you’re going to be uncomfortable."
"it is super low though so I could never use it as my daily stroller."
I have a Doona that I use for right now and I used it on a recent trip with my baby, I wore him in the airports and out and about and threw my bag into the stroller. when I was with my parents I just left it in the car
r/babywearing • Traveling with a car seat in Uber/Lyft/Taxi and no stroller? ->we use it as the main car seat and we also have another one for when he’s a bit bigger, but I reallllly love the Doona cause it’s just so easy haha
r/babywearing • Traveling with a car seat in Uber/Lyft/Taxi and no stroller? ->+1. The Doona is one of few baby items that is worth every penny.
r/FATTravel • Taxi / Uber service with infant car seats in French Riviera? ->He probably won’t fit in the doona. Infant seats can not rear face, even on a plane. I would bring a cosco seat and use it on the plane. That’s what we did when we took our 18mo to Europe. She did end up being held for sleep but she was in her seat otherwise. Good luck!
r/toddlers • Doona for long-haul flight? ->Doona car seat is worth every penny. Having a built in stroller is a game changer.
r/HENRYfinance • What baby items were worth splurging on? ->Flight to the UK, here. Oh we had a lot of attitude when we brought our approved-for-plane Doona onboard. The flight attendant was so snooty about it too. "You'll never fit it on the seat" he told us. Except it fit on the seat perfectly. Showed him the sticker and everything. He left in a huff. Though, they had the last laugh because the second pram we actually had checked as baggage got lost. It was with Norwegian Air and I was so salty about the whole thing I never flew with them again.
r/Parenting • Do most parents not bring car seats on planes? ->I have and love my Doona but it’s really only for car/plane/cab/and quick errands. Great for running to the pediatrician or the bank. Terrible for going on walks etc. It’s a pretty rough ride over anything but very smooth pavement, and has a fairly short handle for pushing. If you’re not even planning to use it as a plane seat I definitely wouldn’t spend the money. ETA it can barely handle the grass in my front yard, it will definitely be a rough go in snow and mud. If you’re used to a real stroller I think you’ll hate it.
r/NewParents • Traveling for the first time with baby. Buy Doona? Or deal with stroller and car seat? ->The Doona. It’s amazing that first year.
r/Parenting • Black Friday tips : what baby stuff was actually worth it? (first-time mom here 💁🏻♀️) ->I preferred my Doona to the Mesa - my kids were really uncomfortable in it (the Mesa) and I used the Doona so much more. Especially once I had a toddler, the Doona was worth its weight in gold for my newborn.
r/Buyingforbaby • Integrated car seat/stroller combo worth it? ->Another doona user We have a doona specifically for travel and as a backup/spare. We have a Chicco keyfit 35 as our main car seat Doona is great for getting through the airport and to a family member home. We still generally baby carry most of the time but the doona can fit through a TSA scanner, it's easy to wheel through the airport, and can easily be checked (they make nice bags for them). It can also be secured without a base (with just a seatbelt) so we can easily get it secured in a relative's car, Uber, or rental without needing to worry about exactly what car is showing up We got ours for around $300 with a base locally with a 2028 expiration date and plan to resell for $200 once our baby outgrows it
r/babywearing • Traveling with a car seat in Uber/Lyft/Taxi and no stroller? ->We got the doona for car travel. It’s not the best stroller and that’s okay because it’s really just a car seat with wheels. We rock the uppababy for most day to day activities. Nuna is a good option though if you don’t want two strollers. I see plenty of folks around town with it and most seem to like it.
r/AskNYC • Parents without cars - best infant car seat for taxis/Ubers? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
