"I bought one for a trip across the country, have used it on the plane and in the cars here. ... it’s perfect for the airport. ... I might have felt more compelled to travel earlier."
"Yup, an absolute game changer. ... We traveled for a month in Europe when our kid was 10 months old and the doona made it SO easy and convenient. ... 10/10 for travel!"
"It's crazy light, unlike our Graco at home ... super super light for carrying. One handed, no trouble. ... taking it through security/awkwardly carrying it down the plane aisle is super easy when it's that light. I could have it and a bag in my hand and not worry"

"I am a C-section mama and without the doona I could not have been able to do stuff."
"I honestly loved it and loved not having to take my kid out of the car seat and put them into something else if we were going somewhere."

"If you have wild kids or go over not perfectly smooth sidewalks, it's not great."
"The minu is basically a janky doll stroller in comparison lol. ... I can take the vista across gravel or grass with no issue. The minu is so uncomfortable for my kid and the steering is so stiff and the wheels are tiny. I never use it and wish I hadn’t ever bought it honestly!"
"Walking around, we hit an uneven bit of pavement and it would have tipped over if I hadn’t had a good grip on it."

"Mine is malfunctioning already, and I just got it too.... FML. HDMI works but Type C connection stops working."
"3 months of constant use and the screen blackout on me. ... others have similar complaints of durration so i'd say no ... was playing rivals then suddenly the monitor turned off. after unplugging it waiting a while i was able to power it but the display won't show nor light up but the sound is working. ... looking into this there have been numerous complaints about the longevity of the device. ... FUCK NO, GO OLED! just not this one"
"I wouldn't count on JBL for longevity personally. ... Stinks to have to replace that that soon tho 2 years is a joke. ... longevity in home theater systems isn't my first place I'd give them points."

"it's a dumb little stroller and I looked ridiculous at 5'10" pushing it around"
"it’s very short so if you’re remotely tall you’re going to be uncomfortable."
"it is super low though so I could never use it as my daily stroller."
I have a Doona that I use for right now and I used it on a recent trip with my baby, I wore him in the airports and out and about and threw my bag into the stroller. when I was with my parents I just left it in the car
r/babywearing • Traveling with a car seat in Uber/Lyft/Taxi and no stroller? ->we use it as the main car seat and we also have another one for when he’s a bit bigger, but I reallllly love the Doona cause it’s just so easy haha
r/babywearing • Traveling with a car seat in Uber/Lyft/Taxi and no stroller? ->Doona car seat is worth every penny. Having a built in stroller is a game changer.
r/HENRYfinance • What baby items were worth splurging on? ->Flight to the UK, here. Oh we had a lot of attitude when we brought our approved-for-plane Doona onboard. The flight attendant was so snooty about it too. "You'll never fit it on the seat" he told us. Except it fit on the seat perfectly. Showed him the sticker and everything. He left in a huff. Though, they had the last laugh because the second pram we actually had checked as baggage got lost. It was with Norwegian Air and I was so salty about the whole thing I never flew with them again.
r/Parenting • Do most parents not bring car seats on planes? ->I have and love my Doona but it’s really only for car/plane/cab/and quick errands. Great for running to the pediatrician or the bank. Terrible for going on walks etc. It’s a pretty rough ride over anything but very smooth pavement, and has a fairly short handle for pushing. If you’re not even planning to use it as a plane seat I definitely wouldn’t spend the money. ETA it can barely handle the grass in my front yard, it will definitely be a rough go in snow and mud. If you’re used to a real stroller I think you’ll hate it.
r/NewParents • Traveling for the first time with baby. Buy Doona? Or deal with stroller and car seat? ->The Doona. It’s amazing that first year.
r/Parenting • Black Friday tips : what baby stuff was actually worth it? (first-time mom here 💁🏻♀️) ->We hired the doona from tinyexplorers at that age for a holiday to Turkey. Our hotel was about an hour from the airport so didn't want to rely on the car seats provided by the transfer company. I think it was about £60 for the week? We received a brand new one which was excellent but I don't think that's common! We checked it in at the plane door. It was a bit scuffed up by the end of our holiday but the company never said anything. Just boxed it up and dropped it off to the post office.
r/BeyondTheBumpUK • Travelling with a 3/4 month old. ->Another doona user We have a doona specifically for travel and as a backup/spare. We have a Chicco keyfit 35 as our main car seat Doona is great for getting through the airport and to a family member home. We still generally baby carry most of the time but the doona can fit through a TSA scanner, it's easy to wheel through the airport, and can easily be checked (they make nice bags for them). It can also be secured without a base (with just a seatbelt) so we can easily get it secured in a relative's car, Uber, or rental without needing to worry about exactly what car is showing up We got ours for around $300 with a base locally with a 2028 expiration date and plan to resell for $200 once our baby outgrows it
r/babywearing • Traveling with a car seat in Uber/Lyft/Taxi and no stroller? ->As far as car seats go, there are some travel car seats like the RideSafer on Amazon that are easy to pack and take with. There are weight requirements for them, so not sure on the 1yr old, but the 4yr old is probably a good fit. If you don’t want to spend more money on that, your other option is to get car seat bags and check them on your flight to Florida. Obviously there’s pros and cons to that as well. We have two kids, 9mo and 2.5yrs, we took our Doona car seat and a RideSafer on the last trip, it works fairly well. Pro tip: get the RideSafer out and adjusted at home before you leave on your trip. Trying to harness up the little one right before you leave is not a fun experience… For transportation, you can do an Uber XL or hire a private shuttle. Some hotels near the ports will have shuttle service, but you’ll want to call in advance to confirm. Typically shuttles range from $15-25 per person. Privacy will totally depend on your party size, your willingness to pay a bit extra, and if there are other travelers in your hotel. When traveling for a cruise, especially with kids, I’d recommend coming in the night before and staying at a hotel so you have some flexibility and don’t miss your embarkation.
r/royalcaribbean • Flying into Fort Lauderdale with two kids (4y & 1y). How should we go about transportation to and from the airport and ship terminal? ->I got a Doona to make my life easy until I absolutely need something bigger. It’s amazing!
r/NewParents • Overwhelmed by car seat options ->Absolutely love our Doona
r/HENRYfinance • What baby items were worth splurging on? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
