For us it’s a coin toss when we get in the car. Sometimes my baby is chill and sometimes he screams the entire time. The happy song by Imogen Heap works sometimes. He is 4 months and we have the evenflo LiteMax NXT infant seat with the sensory soothe bar. The white noise and lights sometimes help. I have no idea why he hates it sometimes and likes it others. Babies are so weird

I love my evenflo pivot xpand system! Sooo nice to have something that just comes all in one box, compatible, don't have to think about it. The toddler seat converts to a bassinet so you have all the options and it turns into a double. Got it for $500 on boxing Day and it's been great. My sister has had hers for 6 years and it's still going strong.

I really love my evenflo xpand stroller. If you plan to have more, it a really great stroller/car seat combo.

I get most of my kid’s clothes from once upon a child. It’s a reselling place, it takes time to search for good stuff but the prices are amazing and worth the time! Other than that, we buy a few things here and there from Old Navy and Osh Kosh. Kids/babies need a week’s worth of clothes in my opinion, we do their laundry once a week. Ie. maybe 10 body suits, 6-7 pairs of pants, a sweater or two, 10 sleepers and socks. That’s all that babies wear for the first 6+ months. They don’t need much, do some research and make a list to avoid over buying and over spending. In terms of car seats/strollers, we have the Eve Flo pivot expand and matching car seat for our kids, we love it. I definitely recommend a car seat that attaches to a stroller, you won’t want to wake a sleeping baby to go into the store! If mom is breast feeding, you won’t need much. I highly recommend a hand pump to help with supply. If you plan on breastfeeding, my #1 advice is to buy pre-mixed liquid formula before the baby is born. Milk takes time to come in and Shopper’s isn’t open at midnight when the baby is screaming and everyone’s crying. Have a bottle and formula ready just in case. If you don’t need it, liquid pre-mixed formula makes great baby pancakes when baby starts eating food. Hope this all helps! Good luck! Parenthood is amazing but also scary and hard, take care of yourselves too!

I also had a baby who just hated the car seat. Same experience, it made it worse when I sat in the back. I tried every car seat my friends had, including all that are mentioned here, it made no difference in the early days. He eventually outgrew it by 5 ish months and is not completely normal and happy in the car seat. I truly don’t believe it has anything to do with the specific seat for most car seat hating babies, they just don’t like the separation and confinement.

We purchased an even Flo travel system and it was so convenient, we got a 2nd lite car seat. The only thing kind of sad is now at 15 m we have to upgrade the seat (height capacity). We got the Evenflo extend 360 and I was thinking did I make a mistake because it can be used from infancy… but we used our travel system a lot and never had trouble taking our stroller and seat and clipping it in off the plane.

This might not be what you want to hear but some babies just hate car seats. You could try out the other one you have but my kiddo cried in both of his. The only thing that made a difference was if I sat in the back with him and my husband drove the car.

Hi! My child is 11 weeks old and she absolutely hates the car seat. It makes going anywhere very difficult! We have the Evenflo Litemax infant car seat. It was gifted to us and I didn’t do any research at all on any others. This one literally hardly has any padding and so I’m wondering if that’s possibly why? It seems uncomfortable to me. We have the Evenflo revolve360 convertible seat but I don’t watch to switch at the moment since it’s winter. Does anyone have any recommendations for an infant seat that their child doesn’t hate? Or maybe someone has a similar case as mine and they found one that their child liked? Thanks in advance!
