I’m a doona mama about to make the switch to this travel system! I just learned about this but I am intrigued! We love our doona so much but bub is 19lbs and growing at 7.5 months so looking for more practicality and we used a stroller so much with our first. We also have the first revolve seat for our oldest and it’s been amazing. What did you decide?
r/beyondthebump • Evenflo Revolve 180 Travel System vs. Doona ->If you have multiple vehicles either buy one for each car or commit to one being the family car and the other just for one person to commute if that works for you. If you have someone who frequently helps out with transporting your kid ie a grandparent that does daycare pickup 2 days a week you have two options- either buy a cheap convertible seat that they keep in thier car, or get one that is easy/quick to install/uninstall (I like the evenflow revolves for this) As for Ubers, avoid if you can because it is a pain (consider public transit) or again spring for one that is easy and quick to install/uninstall
r/BabyBumpsCanada • What did you do after your LO outgrew the infant car seat and use multiple vehicles? [ON] ->Most Rotating car seats in Canada are convertible car seats thus they aren’t compatible with a stroller as they aren’t designed to be removed from the vehicle frequently. There is 2 rotating infant seats on the market in Canada. The evenflo revolve180 lite max and the cybex aton g swivel. The evenflo is compatible with the shyft stroller BUT rotating infant seats have lower weight limit. The evenflo is only 22lbs which is really low considering the price of the seat. You’re going to have to replace the car seat far sooner than other infant seats. I’d personally recommend a standard infant seat as they are designed to unclip from the base and are easier to move anyway. The rotating features really helpful with a car seat that’s installed into your car at all times. My best recommendation is to find a stroller you like first then look for compatible car seats. Your stroller will be used far longer than the infant car seat. You can also go the route of getting a rotating convertible car seat from the start ( I love my evenflo revolve as it goes to a high back booster up to 120lbs so really is a all in one seat) and a stroller with a bassinet attachment rather than one an infant seat clips onto.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller and Carseat Recommendations [ON] ->I got the Evenflo revolve 180 litemax next system and love it.
r/BabyBumps • Tell me what freaking diaper bag, car seat and stroller to buy. My brain is melting. ->Evenflo! We got the travel system which included the stroller and car seat, for about $500. They’ve both been awesome. I live in a pretty outdoorsy area with semi-rough terrain and take baby out for long walks/trails all the time, and the stroller has been awesome. We grocery shop with it as well, run errands, and so on. Car seat has also been great, no notes! I don’t really see a difference between our travel system and those belonging to friends who spent 1500+ on their stuff. We also got a pretty cheap swing and it does the exact same thing as the expensive ones lol, plus baby wasnt into it for long anyway, so if we would have splurged it would have been a waste.
r/NewParents • Is everyone on baby/parenting subs rich?!? ->I have the evenflo travel system with the car seat and stroller and the bassinet or whatever it is. I love it! I know she’ll grown out the car seat in a couple months but we are getting the use out of it!!
r/NewParents • strollers ->I needed a stroller and car seat that was active. I ended up going with Evenflo. The car seats are car crash tested and verified to keep infants and toddlers safe. I also needed a jogging stroller to walk the dog. The joggers are much more sturdy and bounce resistant on rough terrain. I can then switch out the car seat into the reversi frame for days I want to pack lighter and go for city strolls. In all, budget was also a factor so it came out to like $500 for everything. Jogger + car seat travel system was $299 and the reversi frame was $200. I didn't want to spend $500+ for like the Nuna, Cybex etc. the Evenflo gets the job done even if it's a bit bulky, but at least the little one is snug, safe and so is my bank account 🤣 Hope that helps! PS, I'm quoting in Canadian, so USD is probably around 350-400 total?
r/BabyBumps • How did you figure out what car seat/stroller you wanted? ->I have the skip hop 3 stage bath tub that looks like a whale and I can say I made the right choice getting it. Baby was comfortable in it when they were a new born and then when they first started sitting up they could still lean on the sling part and then you just use the tub without the sling. After that I think baby will be old enough and capable to just sit in the actual bath tub. I have the evenflo travel system where it comes with an infant car seat and then a bassinet that converts to a stroller seat for older babies once they start to sit up and get a little older. I honestly did not use the bassinet part as much as I thought because when baby was first born I couldn’t go out much and didn’t. Since 3 months he hates being flat on his back when he’s awake so he hated being in the bassinet when I did go out. I got a lot of use out of the infant car seat though, I can’t imagine not having it. I’ll be getting a convertible car seat soon because we’ve almost outgrown the infant car seat, and I hope to keep using it for a long time. The infant car seat is super helpful especially when I can just attach it easily to the stroller frame. It helps me get out of the house and makes everything easier. If I could go back in time I would probably get the infant car seat and stroller frame without the bassinet. Then I would get a lighter weight stroller that’s easier to open and carry around because the travel system is heavy and sometimes harder to open.
r/BabyBumps • Is it worth buying the “convertible” baby stuff? ->I got the evenflo travel system which was way more affordable than others and the infant car seat is super convenient especially when it can click into the stroller and car base. He is almost too big for it but I can keep using the stroller with the bassinet as an upright seat. If you could get a convertible car seat too for a second car that would be most ideal. Then when baby outgrows the infant one you’ll just use the convertible in the main car.
r/Buyingforbaby • Get an infant car seat or just get a convertible car seat? ->I walk my baby in the evenflo car seat stroller and can get it on grass. I dont see why it couldn’t go through snow on pavement or sidewalks
r/NewParents • Is the doona stroller good In the snow? ->I have a rotating one in my girl and a regular one in my husbands. We both prefer the rotating one!
