I'm using an Evenflo Dual Ride Shyft for carseat/stroller. The convenience is amazing! It's so nice not having to lug around a separate stroller. When people see me convert it from a carseat to stroller with the push of a button they think it's the coolest thing. My baby is 5.5 months and we're still using it. The only big con is it's heavy if you're using it in carrier mode with the wheels on. I have an Evenflo Revolve 360 on stand by when he outgrows the Dualride.

I honestly loved Evenflo’s Doona dupe. I think it’s called the Shyft? It gets kind of heavy to lug in/out of the car when baby gets bigger, but I never had a problem with it. For my first, I used the Nuna Pippa and stroller. Stroller was extremely bulky and hard to fit in the car, but it was a smooth ride thanks to the massive wheels. Ive also heard great things about the Mockingbird stroller, which works with a variety of car seats, but I don’t have firsthand experience with it.

My biggest factor was the safety and also the weight of the car seat. I wanted to ensure I could carry her up our 3 flights of stairs to our condo lol. We went with the Evenflo Dualride, we really liked the detachable stroller element it has. We really liked having it all in one but we could still separate the car seat and stroller when we needed to. We always had the stroller on hand too vs having to remember to put it in the car. 😂

If you have a baby that still uses an infant carseat I would get the Evenflo DualShyft. It solves two birds with one stone. If you're kid is over 2 then you have get a Ride Safer carseat vest.

I second this plus I found it way cheaper than the Doona

We bought the Evenflow Dualryde Shift seat before prematurity was even a possibility in our minds. We wanted a Doona and found this alternative. Not cheaper unfortunately, just a similar concept. We went with the Evenflow and it turned out to be the perfect seat, it's labeled for babies 3-35 lbs. That is ultimately why we chose it over the Doona, little did we know that small detail mattered so much!!

Honestly an infant car seat is best. When they are super young leaving them in the seat while running inside stores etc is easiest. Some do just get a 3 in 1 but after 6 kids, I would still go for an infant seat first. The even flo one that has wheels that pops out is my favorite. Worth it 100%. You want baby rear facing for long as possible. 2years is the very minimum but most are doing until 5. Its Honestly the safest.
