[Evenflo](https://www.evenflo.com/products/shyft-intuiti-travel-system) [Maxi Cosi](https://maxicosi.com/products/tayla-max-peri-180-rotating-infant-car-seat-travel-system-in-onyx-wonder-vb001) That being said, I personally wouldn't invest in a rotating infant car seat (the kind with a handle). Most of these have pretty easy click-in systems that I don't think rotation would significantly help with. If you really wanted to make your life as easy as possible here, look for ones that are especially seamless regarding clicking it into the base, the most lightweight ones for when your baby starts getting a little heft, and/or the easiest travel systems. I think any of these qualities would go further in simplifying your life than rotating at that stage. Don't get me wrong, I have a convertible rotating seat and I'm absolutely obsessed, but that rotation really comes in handy when they're at the age where you're having to wrestle a 30lb alligator into the seat without breaking your back, also known as toddlerhood. I'm just saying I would wait til they've outgrown the infant seat to get it. Alternatively, skip the infant seat entirely and go straight to the rotating convertible from birth, but convertible seats don't work with strollers, so you would have to take your little baby out of the carseat and transfer them into the stroller or wrap and vice versa instead of just moving the whole seat. I actually went this route and I don't regret it but it certainly has its pros and cons.

Just wanted to add another perspective, we have the evenflo360 rear facing in a Subaru Impreza and while it's definitely bulky, I wouldn't go so far as to call the passenger seat useless either. Someone around 5'6" to 5'9" could still sit in the front comfortably, although anyone taller would definitely be squeezed in.

So I ordered the evenflo shyft intuiti travel system w/ revolve180 litemax nxt rotational infant car seat from little Canadian you might be interested in something like that. I’ll be able to use the stroller for years and I’ll just upgrade the car seat when she grows out of it

The shift is at target if you wanna see it in person. We snagged that one on a huge sale they had a month ago. I had also read some bad reviews on the pivot so we tried a bunch and settled on the shift .

The Evenflo shyft intuiti checked all our boxes and was under 1000$ . I was also to get it on sale at target for 340$ but I don't think that's an option anymore that being said I think if you can get it on black Friday for 500-600$ I still think it's worth it. It has a bassinet, rotating car seat, and is made of high quality materials.

Most Rotating car seats in Canada are convertible car seats thus they aren’t compatible with a stroller as they aren’t designed to be removed from the vehicle frequently. There is 2 rotating infant seats on the market in Canada. The evenflo revolve180 lite max and the cybex aton g swivel. The evenflo is compatible with the shyft stroller BUT rotating infant seats have lower weight limit. The evenflo is only 22lbs which is really low considering the price of the seat. You’re going to have to replace the car seat far sooner than other infant seats. I’d personally recommend a standard infant seat as they are designed to unclip from the base and are easier to move anyway. The rotating features really helpful with a car seat that’s installed into your car at all times. My best recommendation is to find a stroller you like first then look for compatible car seats. Your stroller will be used far longer than the infant car seat. You can also go the route of getting a rotating convertible car seat from the start ( I love my evenflo revolve as it goes to a high back booster up to 120lbs so really is a all in one seat) and a stroller with a bassinet attachment rather than one an infant seat clips onto.

I was going to go with either the graco 4ever or evenflo revolving one. I ended up going with the evenflo because we have a pickup truck and even with the infant seat having to step on the side runner to click the car seat in can be dicey. The graco one has top reviews all around and you can get it on sale for a steal. If it’s only the booster seat portion you are worried about o wouldn’t worry. It won’t be needed for a few years and you can buy just a regular backless booster on its own for $50 or less.

I’m a CPST and in my unit we stock even flo lite max seats as they’re rated 3 pounds and up and are super adjustable to fit smaller kiddos. I also agree that graco snug rides generally are good for the smaller kiddos. As comfortable as the uppa and nuna seats look, unfortunately a lot of the padding isn’t adjustable and can tend to cause kiddos to be positioned less than optimally and leave minimal room to adjust and keep their airway open. Obviously I am not seeing your kiddo in their car seat so this could not be the case with you, but these are generally recommendations that have worked for me historically. Good luck!

r/NewParentsDid you use an infant car seat or convertible? What stroller?

Yes this was why we chose the infant bucket seat. We got one that clicked into the base in the car and stroller (evenflo gold shyft) plus came with the bassinet attachment that also turns into a toddler seat. We now have an almost 1 year old and we've gotten a lot of use out of it and were glad we got that model. She's still in the bucket seat and will be for a while (20% small gal). We currently leave it in the car now as it is easy to just get her in and out plus its summer!

We went with Evenflo Shyft (their Doona knockoff) as our car seat and bought a Joolz Hub 2.0 stroller with bassinet attachment. I love the convenience of keeping the baby in the car seat when making quick trips, and we use our bassinet every day to take the baby on walks. YMMV! Nuna was just too expensive for me to pull the trigger.

I went to target to check the seat out in person and I can confirm there’s not a big size difference and I have the Shyft on my registry because it’s so much nicer
