We got the Joie Nutmeg and Mint travel system and I LOVED the latch system of the carseat. It was so easy to get in and out. When my LO reached around 6 months, we switched him over to the Joie Chili360 and the spin feature helps my back so much. We got them from Target, utilized the car seat trade in program for 20% off (got a $5 booster seat off marketplace as our trade in) + opened a red card for extra savings, I ended up getting the travel system for around $200. I loved that it wasnt black, we get a lot of compliments on the brown color
My absolute must is a 360 seat. I wish I hadn’t been so easily influenced by tiktok, because I started with the Evenflo 360 and both baby and I immediately hated it and returned it. I have 2 other rotating car seats now, my favorite is the Joie Chili Spin.
I just bought the Joie Pepper and am loving it so far. So easy to turn, seems very comfortable and transitions all the way into a backless booster. The only downside I found so far is that the base needs to be installed differently when you switch to forward facing, which is not a big deal to me because the install was so easy. I tried the Chicco Fit360 and hated it. I found it very difficult to turn one handed once my toddler was in it and the button to loosen the harness straps was near impossible to press down sometimes. I’m definitely in the minority though because most people seem to love it.
We love the Joie Chili Spin!
I liked our glass bottles, we used the Philip Avent ones. Keep in mind that if they are going to daycare, glass might not be allowed. Some places are okay with it if you use a silicone cover. We ended up using a mix of plastic and glass bottles because of that. Our Joie Chili Spin car seat is great. I got it because it was a turning car seat at a reasonable price, I’m not aware of any flame coatings or anything that it may or may not have. We have a turning Gracco in my husband’s car and that one is great too. Dipes and wipes all work differently for different babies, don’t get your heart set on a brand just yet. Some brands offer sample sized packs of diapers, that’s a great way to try different ones out without breaking the bank. You may also find that their needs change as they grow. We started as a Huggies house, then it was Millie Moon, and those recently stopped fitting right and we’ve settled on a mix of Freestyles, Bumbums, and the Pampers pull up style.
I have baby most of the time and my car is our ideal car when we are all together so his car seat stays in my car. Occasionally we travel in my husband’s truck and we just swap it over. It takes like 3 minutes once you’re used to it. It’s really not as time consuming as people make it seem. We have the Joie Chili Spin and we love it! I guess if you can afford to have multiple, you could, but I think most people just have one car seat.
We have a Nuna Pipa Lite for the bucket car seat and then, we swapped to the Joie Chili Spin because it’s made by the same company as Nuna and mimics the quality. Baby loves both!
