We have the maxi cosi zelia luxe and we’ve loved it for all sorts of weather. Folds down well enough (I drive a crosstrek so my trunk space is less than yours I believe) and came with compatible car seat and the stroller seat itself converts to a bassinet very easily. We felt it important to go luxe because bigger wheels and Quebec winters and so far so good. Under 1000$ and we get compliments on it often 😊
I had the Maxi Cosi Zelia Max 2 system for my daughter until she sized out the car seat. The stroller lasted her up until about 3 before her height was a problem. There was a recall on it and they sent the replacement base free of charge, but I believe they are now onto the next system. Ours was on sale from Dillards, I believe, so if its of interest amd you look around for local stores and sales you might be able to get a good after Holiday price. For my current pregnancy we will probably go for Maxi Cosi again, or Chicco, as her first "big kid" car seat was Chicco Oke Fit and it was also good quality.
I love my zelia luxe 5 in 1! My LO is 5 months, the stroller has been amazing in the snow/ice, and the bassinet is great for naps. The car sit is great too, used it in rentals and in Ubers and is super practical. The stroller 1 hand fold situation makes it so easy to carry around.
I’m not sure if I’m understanding what you’re looking for exactly, but maybe you should check out the Maxi Cosi Zeilla travel system? We currently have this one and I love it. We use the car seat stroller combo when driving around and shopping. Otherwise the stroller also has a seat that turns into a bassinet super easily. When I take my baby out on nap walks, I switch her to the bassinet position as soon as she falls asleep. It’s so smooth and quiet that she doesn’t notice and continues sleeping. I’ve seen other stroller systems that require both a seat and bassinet that you change, but that doesn’t seem practical
I have this stroller as well and I have no complaints! We also use the car seat stroller combo when going out from the car, but use the seat/bassinet for walks. My son is now 6 months old and we just started using the seat, we had always walked him in the bassinet mode before. Being able to put the seat from the upright position into the bassinet position so easily while baby stays sleeping is so nice.
It has to just be luck but mine loves the car, always has. He falls asleep no matter where we go or what time of day it is. Hes 14mo and its always been the case. We had the Maxi Cosi Mico Luxe infant bucket until 5mo and since then hes been in the Evenflo Revolve 360. Im so sorry yours hate it, that sounds so stressful!
