Your baby needs a reverse facing car seat for another 6 months to one year. I would advise you to get a used one from Olx if available since it's only for short term and occasional use. I used one I got from my friend during this period. After that I bought an R for rabbit which I have been using for about 4 years now.

I took the seatbelt one and one with good ratings online and recommended by other people. Would recommend R for Rabbit in range upto 12 k. If you are going above it go with US brands like. Chicco (they are imported hence costlier by 2-3x)

We got ours a few days before my kid was born—I wasn’t comfortable bringing the baby home from the hospital without it. It’s the ISOFIX Grande model (or something along those lines) from R for Rabbit, designed for children from birth up to 12 years. It’s been over a year and a half now, and it’s still holding up really well. That said, I often have to argue with family to keep using it, since it does take up the space of one adult seat. Sometimes, my kid throws a fit wanting to sit on our lap instead. But I have a firm rule: if the child isn't secured in the seat, the car doesn't move. No exceptions. Illiterate relatives making fun of us is another story on its own, maybe another day. :D

I have the R for Rabbit ISOFIX car seat, but my 2 year old son gets very uncomfortable during longer drives because his back gets really sweaty. As a result, he refuses to sit in it. Any tips or hacks to ensure he stays seated?

If you can afford it get this: https://amzn.in/d/e3FhMkW I bought two r for rabbits for my twins, we did a month long road trip and by the end of it, the seat mechanisms started falling apart, especially the latch for harness tightening.

Get R for Rabbit with ISOFIX should be around 9k. Luvlap is cheaper.

Got the same one for my kiddo. One issue with this one though is the metal harness at the back keeps hitting the back of the seat. Very annoying sound when the seat is not occupied.

Get reverse facing one. Not 0-12 years stuff. Get a proper forward facing one once she gets to the right weight. R for Rabbit is quite good.

R for Rabbit is very good. If you are insisting on foreign brands, you can do way better than Chicco.
