I feel like babies outgrow this one earliest though

All babies are different sizes but my neighbor’s son outgrew his Aria by 7 months. That’s what I mean.

We hated the aria and got the pipa aire rx instead. There is an adapter for the stroller, we also have the Cruz and have loved it.

Not sure if you’ve decided yet, but with a CX5 I’d really pay attention to front-to-back space. Since you’re leaning toward the Cruz, I’d go with the [**Cruz V3**](https://www.babyenroute.com/products/uppababy-cruz-v3-stroller) \+ [**Aria**](https://www.babyenroute.com/products/uppababy-aria-v2-car-seat) combo. The Cruz now reclines flat so you can use it from newborn without buying a separate bassinet, which is nice for both cost and storage. The Aria is really light and fairly compact, and it clicks straight onto the Cruz, so day-to-day it’s just easier. It’s mainly for the first \~6 months, but you’ll be switching to a convertible seat after that anyway. A lot of people recommend the Clek Liing too, but personally I found it pretty expensive, and needing adapters for the stroller made it feel less worth it for what you get.

Oh my gosh, when I tell you strollers and travel systems had me spiraling out of control, I’m not kidding. It was like weeks and weeks of hours of research daily and comparisons. I was losing dang mind. Ultimately, I went with the Uppababy vista v3 and the aria v2 lightweight car seat because if we have more kids it can be easily used as a double/triple. I liked all the different ways to use and co figure it even though most strollers on the market now also have similar features but the actual frame of this stroller felt more sturdy, long lasting, and of a little high quality. I wanted something that glided and was smooth and easy to push and this was definitely exactly that. Easy to collapse and throw in the car. As for the car seat I chose, I wanted something lightweight and easy to carry. Something safe, compatible with my stroller that I didn’t have to buy adapters for. It’s not big and bulky. I was pretty torn between the aria v2 and the mesa b3 but for my personal preferences, the aria seemed to work better for what I need. Now- I’m not the type to splurge on things at all but I got a hecccck of a deal on this so I pulled the trigger and bought it! 10/10 no regrets. I’m due in July! Hack: Grab a free crappy car seat off your local Facebook market place and go bring it in to target and get your 20% off coupon and then start your target registry if you haven’t already (even if you aren’t using it as your actual registry) and set it up so your due date is in like a month and you’ll get a 15% registry coupon that you can stack together. If you have a red card that will be another 5% off so you’re looking at 35-40% off your travel system of choice!!!

Most online will describe the vista as heavy and bulky… I chose it anyway and love it. Great for neighborhood sidewalk walks and also other terrain. I can easily get it out of the car myself and pop the aria on. Love the aria v2!

Definitely recommend an infant car seat that pops on and off your stroller easily. And - get a skip hop car seat cover for the cold months! We love our uppababy vista v3 + aria v2 combo.

We've had our uppababy vista v3 stroller (light weight full size stroller) and aria v2 car seat (super light) and love it. We snagged both during the holidays for nearly 45% off.

The uppababy aria v1 or v2, v2 has a longer torso coverage. The best part, it's the lightest on the market, something to consider when purchasing one, it's very easy to carry. We have the Aria V2.

Yes. We have the Aria V2, the torso length is longer so definitely handle a baby as it grows more. Thankfully it's very light. Alot of folks dont think about this factor until it comes time to carrying the baby in a car seat. Thanks for the reply. Hope OP thinks about weight. Maybe go into a local shop and pick some of these car seats up and see how heavy they can be.

If you're looking for something light, uppababy aria v2 is great. Always account for weight since you'll be picking up the carseat and moving it around.

Typically within 14 months yes, but most newborn carseats that attach to strollers they will outgrow it. Unless you're looking for something that will function as a carseat and long term as a booster seat. Look into the cybex callisto 360. However, this isnt a hand carry carseat.

I didn’t know the Aria has a V2 now! We have the Aria for our 7 month old and I’m obsessed with it. Its lightweight is sooooooo worth it. I still think it’s insanely heavy to carry my baby in it, but I always think about how much more it would suck to carry if it was heavier. Also, I think the car install is pretty quick and easy, but I’ve never tried another seat to have any comparison. We have never had chin to chest issues nor has he really cried being put into it. The downsides we’ve found are that he can get really sweaty in it (not a big deal to us, and idk if it’s the car seat’s fault or just that he’s a sweaty baby), and I think it’s a bit smaller than most car seats so he’s outgrowing it quickly. I think he’ll grow out of it by 8 months. Still, I would hands down highly recommend this and will absolutely use it again for the next baby.

We went with the Mesa (v2) to fit in our gen 3 Prius and Honda Fit, mostly because we knew it would work seamlessly with the stroller system (Cruz v2). It was a snug fit, but it worked. We had tested a bunch of seats out at Snugglebugz before buying and found the Mesa to fit decently in both vehicles. The Nuna Pipa straight up didn't fit in my Prius. 😥 The Aria had JUST come out when I was looking, and I liked that it was extra light and extra compact, but my son was very large and we decided to play it safe and get the regular size Mesa so that we could use it for longer. He was definitely over 22lbs by the time we switched him to a convertible seat, so he would have maxed the Aria out. I also ended up attaching the carrier to the stroller nearly all the time I had it out of the car, so the weight was a non-issue.
