"It’s not precious because it was only $50 and it is very sturdy. We’ve gate checked it about 10 times with no damage."
"It’s not small or lightweight and doesn’t fit in the overhead, but it’s sturdy and we just gate check it naked (without a bag or any protection). ... We’ve flown with it probably a dozen times (and used it for a while at home as a backup when we had an issue with our vista) and it’s still holding up well."
"You can get them for like 50$ used, they'll have better handling than any travel stroller, and they very sturdy. ... This way if it does break in baggage handling it won't matter because it cheap to replace."

"I used it many times flying solo with my little one all the way up to the gate. ... I could hold him and still fold the stroller one handed."
"The onw-handed fold ... were life savers multiple times when I had to take the stairs somewhere unexpectedly"
"Being able to manipulate it with one hand is rare and priceless"

"MAN can that thing handle all the bumps and crazy tree roots in our neighborhood. ... We can take it on trails even."
"Big wheels ... It has served me well on cobblestone streets, forest trails, beaches and everything in between."
"Gravel or trails are no problem either"

"We used it at DW and DL and other theme parks. It was also great for the walking track around our neighborhood."

"You can also use this stroller from birth as it lays flat."
"it lays flat and has an awesome shade for naps"
"Once we get to our destination we have a full functional stroller that can carry a decent amount of gear, lays flat for naps, and has a fully functional sunshade."

"Terrible basket space"
"My main complaint is the basket under the seat is tiny compared the vista."
"I Hate the basket."

"The Babyzen and City brands don’t really have much adjustment capacity for the the steering handle, so if you’re too tall or too short it may be extremely uncomfortable for you to use something if you need to constantly hunch over."
"I don’t like that you can’t adjust the handle."

"It’s not small or lightweight"
"I still kind of hate it and am considering getting two single compact strollers.. but I already have 2 double strollers and I just feel like this is first world problems"

"I expect the city mini *could* be used for an infant. The real issue is that their body wouldn’t be big enough to secure in the straps, and they can’t just be free in the seat to lay down bc they’d fall out with any slight bump."

"There is one caveat: it does not do parent facing. ... My guy has outgrown the bassinet/car seat but is not quite ready for world facing. So the City Mini GT is now waiting for him to get a bit bigger. ... If it had a reversible seat it would be the perfect stroller for every situation."
Baby jogger City Mini GT seemed to be best happy medium of price and performance… and we lived in an urban environment with lots of walking, often uneven sidewalks of a gentrifying area.
The stroller use will last a lot longer than the infant carseat use. Prioritize a stroller that will work for your needs over a compatible travel system that meets your criteria. There is ALWAYS babywearing rather than stroller. I have a friend with a Graco Modes travel system and I absolutely hate the stroller. It rattles SO MUCH and steering is stiff and clunky. BabyJogger City Mini GT bare minimum. We live in a rural village with gravel streets and no sidewalks, so we are no stranger to rougher terrain. My family is also on the farm and we walk the dogs in the pastures sometimes. The City Mini GT can manage the gravel and pastures ok, but there are definitely better options. You can get adapters to click many carseat options into it. BabyJogger City Elite. The bigger, beefier sibling of the City Mini GT. Handles better on gravel for sure. Phil & Ted’s Sport. I had this for the double stroller option and loved it so much. Has the option of carseat adapters and a bassinet. Bumbleride is another great option to consider, and Mountain Buggy.
What kind of terrain will you encounter in general? We have an older version of the GT and really like it. It was intended to be a back-up stroller for grandparents (super clearance deal) and we use it more than our expensive stroller. If you’re looking for a smaller Jogging stroller, I’d look into the Guava Roam or Thule might make one too.
I love the Baby Jogger City Mini GT (the old version). Big wheels, extremely manoeuvrable, easy to fold, and comfortable for a tall child (and a tall parent). It has served me well on cobblestone streets, forest trails, beaches and everything in between. The newest model GT3 has just been released.
BabyJogger City Mini GT, its Disney size approved by doesn’t advertise overhead compartment.
I rarely had to fold my stroller on the T. That being said, the City Mini GT is an excellent choice- so easy to maneuver and the one-hand fold mechanism is a life-saver.
If you’re not going to be using it outside of Disney I would just rent one when you go. Otherwise BOBs are GOATs and baby jogger city mini GT for less jogging style are my favorites. I own (& rent) 13 various strollers/wagons so I’ve used many on the market and always grab a Bob/GT for my toddler.
I used a baby jogger city Mini gt for 2.5 years. I had infant seat adapters for it and several baby carriers for different ages and circumstances and we were just fine. I only upgraded because I started babysitting another toddler and sometimes need them both contained while on the go.
When my kids were in buggies the model that we had was a baby jogger city mini (we had the GT version with slightly chunkier wheels). We had a three wheel, but you could also have a 4 wheel version. They folded in half, so as wide as the buggy but quite flat, useful for storing along the wall in a hallway. Quick look online and there is a version 2 sold new now, but I'm sure there are plenty of the old version available on marketplace and they were true workhorses, my kids always napped so well in them with a huge sunshade and they lay completely flat. I know I'm being a rubbish old mum now but when I see babies in the super lightweight pushchairs which seem to be the most popular type now, I always think they look super exposed and low down, and toddlers look like they're just perching on the seat about to fall out, they are just so shallow and small compared to the buggies we had 5-10 years ago. I get it in cities / shopping malls but I see them bumping over cobbles in a town near us and I just don't get it! It does explain it though if there's nothing in between those and the huge beasts / running buggies, shame to have so much less choice.
If I had to have one stroller, I would stick with my Baby Jogger City Mini GT. We have the 2. The 3 is out now. It’s one handed fold is great and it doesn’t take up too much space. It’s not very heavy and a nice push. It has a lot of features similar to the luxury strollers without the luxury price tag.
