r/NewParentsStrollers - what did you wish you knew before you bought?

We bought a caddy type stroller (babytrend snap & go) when our twins were first born. Really convenient and easy to take around. I waited until black friday to SPLURGEEEEE on not 1 but 2 babyjoggers 😅. Theyre 30% on black friday plus either amazon (15% off) or target (15% + 5% if using red card) completion discount. Getting 2 was only a bit more than getting 1 when not on sale. It worked in our favor bc they were born only a few months away from black friday. Ok we love both the babyjogger double strollers so I imagine the single versions would be amazing as well. The mini gt2 is so smooth and easy to take them shopping and around the city in. Also got the summit x3 because that is an actual jogging stroller (mini gt2 is not). I get such a good workout in with that one. Both worth the purchase and the wait. We still use the caddy as well for more tight places like the doctors office…will be using that one for as long as they fit in their infant carseat.

Babytrend snap n go! This is great if you need to go somewhere solo with the twins. Keep them in their baby car seat and plop them in- good to go. For longer trips or two people- we have a strolee double stroller- it’s a zoe knock off for under $500 we have enjoyed a lot.

We did the baby trend snap n go stroller for their car seats, like 100 bucks and folds real small. Then we had a bob double jogger off fb marketplace that was a game changer once they were like 6 months. Regular walks we’d use the bob, grocery stores etc the baby trend

r/parentsofmultiplesUppababy mini duo stroller?

I don’t have the uppa mini duo, but I have the bombi twin which looks similar (side by side travel-ish). We also have an uppa vista 2. We use the bombi twin the most! And at least for ours, there’s a “newborn pouch” feature that is awesome for on the go naps with infants, it basically converts the seat into a mini bassinet. My only complaint is that the side by side can be annoying to fit through some doorways. When my twins were still in infant car seats, the baby trend snap and go stroller was the BEST, highly recommend that for the first 6-9 months, absolutely worth it.

Baby Trend Snap and Go. I wanted something cheap to live permanently in the trunk of my car. Nothing on Clek's list fit that description, so I figured I'd try this one and return it if it didn't work. Does it handle like a charm? No! But it's good enough and it didn't cost $600.

I cannot speak to the bugaboo stroller but a lot of airlines restrict size/weight of stroller that can be gate checked! So definitely check specifically with the airline before considering bringing. I always advocate for cheap travel car seats. In the US there is Cosco Scenera. They stack, hard to damage, and easy to check. And then a good travel stroller that is gate check or carryon compatible. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with what is available in Europe. However if you plan on not renting a car and need something easily transferred from Ubers. I think you can look into the baby trend snap and go or a similar stroller frame and just use your current infant seats. Much cheaper than two Doonas. Personally, I hated the doona. It was hot and uncomfortable for baby compared to other infant seats. It was also really bad as a stroller (no storage, horrid suspension, and terrible ergonomics for anyone average height or taller). You’ll get a lot more out of investing in a good travel stroller or a cheaper stroller frame.

We got the baby trend universal snap n go for their car seats and daycare drop off. I have the Zoe twin for when we are out and about. I got the uppababy infant inserts and it works great for them now that they are older than two months. I mainly went with the Zoe because we have a toddler and we can attach a third seat on the front. If we didn’t have this I might have done something like the bugaboo donkey

FTM and we went with the baby trend stroller and car seat. It worked for us really well because the car seat could be moved to in and out, and then sit on the stroller. You could also buy multiple bases for ours, so that’s what our parents did for whenever we came to visit them.

Nothing Baby trend. It’s on the cheaper side in both quality and cost. It gets the job done but I REALLY wish I’d have gone with a different brand.
