This is what we primarily used the first 1 1/2 year. Switched to a butterfly though since my wife travels with the kid on her own at least once a year, that thing is the best. We still have the donkey but exclusively use the butterfly for everything
r/daddit • Wife is 15 weeks - went down a stroller rabbit hole… ->I have a Bugaboo Donkey. Zero regrets. Some stores in Seoul were too narrow to use it even in solo mode but the shopping buggy on it more than made up for popping kiddo in a carrier. It's a PITA dismantling it for the car tho. I liked using a hip carrier just as much as the stroller too. Depends on fussiness level, heat, humidity, activity, etc. They are reallt affordable second hand
r/Living_in_Korea • Stroller question for the moms ->I went to a stroller store yesterday to check out the jet double, uppababy minu duo, Nuna trvl dbl, and bugaboo donkey. I ended up liking the Nuna the best by far and went with that! The silver cross jet double was my second favorite but quality just wasn’t good/ even close to the Nuna. I wanted to love the uppababy but the push was by far the worst and it felt a little too small imo. Bugaboo took way too long to fold down as it’s not a true travel stroller and the seats have to be removed before collapsing. Just sharing in case this helps anyone!
r/Buyingforbaby • Uppababy minu duo or silver cross jet double for toddler and baby?? ->Bugaboo Fox for 1 child or donkey for 2. I’ve tried quite a few of these prams and my bugaboo fox and donkey were stand out favourites.
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Please pick one stroller👶 ->I would upgrade my original bugaboo fox to the newest donkey. I would loooove to have the side basket.
r/Buyingforbaby • If you could have any stroller… ->I hate uppababy strollers with a passion. I had a Cruz and a vista and they are heavy, clunky, and the quality you get isn’t worth the price in my opinion. I had a bugaboo donkey for awhile and that was okay as a double, but to be honest my favorite stroller for both travel and home was the very reasonable Thule Spring. It isn’t a double, but we managed fine with two under two since I wore one and used the stroller for the other, especially traveling in Europe. It survived Air France twice, managed cobblestone and narrow streets in Florence, and was light enough but substancial enough to handle just about all terrain. I live in MN and it handled snow just fine, is easy to fold and stores small. The Cruz on the other hand has been regulated to the stroller my parents use for grandkids because I dont want to store it and I sold the Vista and Donkey.
r/Buyingforbaby • Looking at all the stroller choices is making me want to pull my hair out! ->Are two single strollers an option? I regret not getting two single strollers - it seems much more compact than any double “compact” stroller out there. We have the donkey which is a nightmare to transport and the city jogger gt for travel/car use but I still kind of hate it and am considering getting two single compact strollers.. but I already have 2 double strollers and I just feel like this is first world problems 🙃
r/parentsofmultiples • Best travel stroller for twins? ->Considering your lifestyle is key! We have the donkey too and go for long walks every day, it’s brilliant for being able to see both kids at once. It can be a bit of a tight squeeze in shops (why is Peter Alexander so squishy?!) but fits through all standard doors and most shops with zero issues. Despite being heavy when loaded up with both kids, I can still steer with one hand. Before the donkey I had a Fox 2 and also loved it for our lifestyle. It has good suspension and easy to steer, so perfect if you’re walking outside alot. My friend has the vista and I find it a lot harder to steer when loaded with two kids, and not being able to see her baby because the toddler seat is up the top is a bit of a pain. The basket size is great though so if you shop a lot that may be more important to you.
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Prams - did you regret getting a larger, heavy pram for your first baby? ->I will give my vote for Bugaboo Donkey 5. You can use it as a single stroller with a storage compartment on the side and when you get another baby, you can configure it for 2. I have no other complaints on it except the price. First store I went to see it it was 2.5k euros. So if you can get one used or go with the older, Donkey 3, that will save some money. But twin strollers are a lot more pricey than normal ones.
r/daddit • Wife is 15 weeks - went down a stroller rabbit hole… ->We bought a used bob on fb marketplace for my husband to jog with, but our main stroller is the bugaboo donkey. It is expensive but we knew we wanted a second and it pushes like a dream! Love the side by side and that each side can hold a 50 lbs child. We have the doona and use that when we run to Costco or other places, but the doona is absolutely not a stroller for much other than going to the store or doctor. We also had to be a little extra and have a 4 seater wonderfold wagon. It is great. Don’t know that I needed it, but we get a lot of use out of it and it’s great for the farmers market or any place we need to carry stuff.
r/NewParents • Strollers ->I actually have the bugaboo donkey and a vista. We never use the vista. It sucks for 2 kids bc of the rumble seat weight limit and maneuverability. The donkey is great. I love that they sit side by side. If the kangaroo is as smooth as the donkey id choose it over the vista any day.
r/BabyBumps • Stroller recommendations ->We have a bugaboo donkey that had bassinet setups for the early days and now it is set up with normal seats. I love it because its side by side and I can see both babies vs the front/back (top/bottom). I used convertible carseats vs infant ones as my girls didnt like the infant ones and I thought they were super inconvenient personally. I also like the donkey because the normal seats can either face you or face away. I like them facing me in super congested areas (city trips for example), but they like looking out on our daily walks and stuff.
r/parentsofmultiples • Twin parents, what stroller setup worked best for you in the first year? ->a lot of the baby jogger prams are one handed fold and compact (and cheap on marketplace) but definitely go to baby bunting and try out a bunch to help you decide bugaboo donkey is a pain to fold and not compact at all so strike that off your list
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Please pick one stroller👶 ->I can't comment on all of them but we've had a Bugaboo Fox and now a Donkey. I loved both but neither were a one-hand fold and definitely not lightweight or compact! The Cruz also doesn't fit those specifications either. We do also have a Joolz Aer which we got when my oldest was about 12 months old. I love it for day to day use. It's light weight and a really easy one handed fold (https://www.youtube.com/shorts/g1dLtrOtceo) and is super compact in the car :)
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Please pick one stroller👶 ->I have an Uppababy Vista, Bugaboo Donkey, Wonderfold, and the original Uppababy Minu. The Minu is my favorite and if I could go back, I would have started with that with that.
r/Buyingforbaby • Looking at all the stroller choices is making me want to pull my hair out! ->Another vote for the Minu. I have a Uppababy Vista, Bugaboo Donkey, and Uppababy Minu. I reach for the Minu the most. Loading the Vista is a pain. My vista is for purely walking trips to the park etc. The huge basket is great because I can pack my kids bikes and scooters. Mine is nearly 7 years old and still pushes like a dream. The donkey is awesome, but the basket is too small. I use that solely for theme parks so I don’t have to left any of my kids the top.
r/BabyBumps • Stroller recommendations ->I have the same setup, except I’m holding on to using the infant car seats in my donkey for dear life @ 12 months. I live on the second floor with no foyer and a door that opens up to a city street. The car seats are built-in containers that let me make multiple trips when I’m solo & want to get out of the house. Love the donkey - it has the most configurations and best weight limit for *both* seats. It’s possible I’ll want to go with a wagon before they size out of the donkey, but that day seems very far away at the moment.
r/parentsofmultiples • Twin parents, what stroller setup worked best for you in the first year? ->I actually got a double after my last baby. Well the Bugaboo Donkey (mono). I had used bigger prams before and preferred something sturdier as cheaper small ones have broken on me before (I bet they are better now though). I LOVE the donkey and how sturdy it is. Side basket is something I always needed and could not live without.
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Prams - did you regret getting a larger, heavy pram for your first baby? ->We also just bought the donkey 5. It felt so easy to push. It is pricey but they have a special running now. You get the second sports seat for free. So it kicks 370ish off the price. You then get 1 bassinet and 2 toddler seats.
r/2under2 • Recommend double strollers? ->I had an Uppababy vista v2, and it was great for the bucket seats, but I pretty quickly wished I had a side by side set up for the bassinets. Ultimately we switched to a side by side when they were about 1. Ultimately, the kiddos didn’t care who was on top or bottom, but it bothered me I couldn’t get a good view of the “lower deck.” Also, maneuverability became an issue once they got over about 20lbs. If I were shelling out that much on a stroller again, I would have gone with the Bugaboo Donkey.
r/parentsofmultiples • Are twins happy in stacked prams? ->For longer outings/walks around the neighborhood we have the bugaboo donkey 5. They’re still in the bassinets at 4 months then we’ll move to the seats. We had a mockingbird single to double from our singleton and use that for quick outings when we want to keep them in their infant carriers (graco). I got the extra adapters and such from GoodBuyGear for really cheap. If we didn’t already have this from our first, I would have done the baby trend snap & go for this purpose. You can find them aplenty on FB marketplace I think eventually we will end up with a double BOB as well.
r/parentsofmultiples • Twin parents, what stroller setup worked best for you in the first year? ->Bugaboo donkey — if you are one & done than you have a huge basket for your shopping , toys , snacks etc. all the things .. 22lbs under basket 22 lbs in side basket. If you possibly decide to have a second (or 3rd) it easily converts to add more children. Amazing in all terrains. Easy to fold. Tons of accessories to add on… you can buy attachments to change the colour.
r/Mommit • stroller recommendations ->I'm really surprised by the amount of people recommending using carseat strollers. Baby can't lie flat in those! They are not recommended as your every day stroller, you need a bassinet attachment. Personally, we went with the evenflo 360, had a cheap bassinet stroller (bugaboo) and then switched to joolz aer once baby could sit up comfortably.
r/BabyBumps • Tell me what freaking diaper bag, car seat and stroller to buy. My brain is melting. ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
