"the minu rolls like a dream for a travel stroller. ... It works great in nyc and resorts."

"it goes in the overhead compartment of an airplane WITHOUT removing any wheels"
"The only time the Bugaboo didn't fit in the overhead bin was on a very small regional jet, other than that it fit in there perfectly."
"wanted a pram we could take on board and keep with us from Manchester ... it has the same dimensions in case anyone challenged me on size"

"It’s also the only one I found that had a true one hand open/close."
"is really easy to fold one-handed (which is a lifesaver when juggling bags or a squirmy kid)"
"I used it many times flying solo with my little one all the way up to the gate. ... I could hold him and still fold the stroller one handed."

"huge storage basket. It’s held full grocery loads for me."
"The stroller basket is supposed to be for up to 10lbs, but I frequently put way more than 10lbs and it holds. Ive put quite a few heavy soup cans with our other groceries and my heavy purse in the basket and it’s held and doesn’t show any signs of it going out despite me constantly being way over its limit."
"it was a lifesaver being able to shove the kids, the personal items and diaper bags in one place while my husband dealt carrying the other stuff. ... just to be able to haul all my bags and car seat and still at least have one hand free if needed."

"Lightweight and indestructible because we travel and between me and the airlines, our gear gets treated like deep fried trash."
"We’ve travelled to 30+ countries and it’s still going strong after 7 years and 2 kids."
"carried it up and down literally hundreds of flights of stairs all over Europe ... I descended a hiking track down a mountain in Northern Italy pushing it while carrying a baby in my other arm ... There’s barely a scratch on it"

"If you have wild kids or go over not perfectly smooth sidewalks, it's not great."
"The minu is basically a janky doll stroller in comparison lol. ... I can take the vista across gravel or grass with no issue. The minu is so uncomfortable for my kid and the steering is so stiff and the wheels are tiny. I never use it and wish I hadn’t ever bought it honestly!"
"Walking around, we hit an uneven bit of pavement and it would have tipped over if I hadn’t had a good grip on it."

"I would have gotten a stroller with a bassinet attachment or full lay flat option if I could do it over again. ... Bassinet attachment would have saved my sanity in the first several months. ... I couldn't go on longer stroller walks because I didnt want my newborn in her carseat (with attachment for stroller) for too long. Serious cabin fever for a bit."
"It’s not newborn compatible, it doesn’t recline nearly enough for that."
"I would say it's better for babies that are more upright, cuz it doesn't fully fold back"

"My Nordstrom rep showed me it’s top heavy with a baby in there. ... It really felt unsteady, like if you hung a heavy purse off the handle it could tip backwards."
"we had it with her car seat which is what we used in the early days (don't recommend). I dont like it at all."
"The minu v3 is technically infant compatible but I personally would not use it with an infant. ... You can’t make them parent facing and it’s not fully flat"

"significantly lower and if you are anything north of 175 cm you will find yourself kicking the axle from time to time so you will have to walk in an uncomfortable way to make it work."
"The handlebar is also lower on the Bugaboo."
"most people much prefer the travel stroller except for my 6’3” husband (travel strollers don’t have adjustable handlebars)"

"Also tips over if you hang anything on the handle"
"it felt quite tippy to me, even with baby in it"
We have a butterfly 1 and although it’s light and compact, it’s annoying on uneven roads like cobblestones. I think an investment like this is worth trying out in a bigger baby store, if you have one nearby?
My Vista is now set up as a double but I used it as a single for the purpose of doing my food shopping. The big basket is a massive selling point. Once you take the seat off it's really not heavy to lift in and out of the car. The big wheels also make it easier to push. I have a travel pram (butterfly) and the little wheels on certain terrain make it difficult to push.
Glad to hear this post was helpful! Hope you enjoy the stroller! (we have the Butterfly 1 as well, it's a great travel stroller)
we waited for over a year and finally pulled the trigger on it with the sale and 20% stack. it’s a fantastic stroller to keep in the car because it has such a small footprint and is very well-made. also you can get car seat adapters for it if you have an infant seat, so you may get more use out of it than you think. the criticisms about being a rough ride on uneven terrain are 100% warranted though because of the wheel size, but if you’re planning on using it in stores and sidewalks, it’s a great buy at the price you’d get it for.
i am somewhat relieved by the list of improvements, which are definitely nice, but definitely not worth the $280 price difference between the new model and the original with the price reduction + target coupon. the increased front wheel size is probably the one thing i am genuinely wishing i could have.
We are close to clocking easily 100 km walked with our Bugaboo butterfly. We have done four international flights and about 20 domestic flights. Bugaboo has been great the one hand fold is brilliant for that last minute toddler pick up and fold. Light enough to carry up or down stairs when needed (+\~ toddler still in seat). Its only flaw is that it doesn’t do newborn flat. Don’t know why it would be a total class killer if it did.
Bugaboo butterfly 2.0 is newborn ready. We have the original and I’ve said repeatedly the only thing that stops it being the perfect pram is the lack of lie flat. Seriously thinking of upgrading to the 2.0
Travel prams are seductive. Once you realise how little you can get away with you might say good bye to your main pram. Bugaboo butterfly he the best canopy which in Australia matters massively.
Not to be annoying but bugaboo butterfly is what you need but not on your list. We are obsessed with ours. And around 400-500 on marketplace.
I think bugaboo is increasing their price soon so I just purchased it in case this was affected
I can confirm it stacks with the 15% and i ended up getting it for $271 before tax
Hello stroller addict here 🙈 - I’ve just purchased #6 although I did sell one so we will have 5 when it arrives. 1. Nuna mixx - our first stroller and bought to go with our infant seat. We loved it until we didn’t, it’s now gathering dust in the hall closet. Keeping solely so I don’t get the urge to buy a Cruz v3 for bassinet mode and bc resale on them sucks. 2. Bugaboo butterfly (OG) - bought for travel, lives in my husbands car (will maybe sell this one, see #5) 3. UB Vista v3 - bought to replace the Mixx because my child hated the seat with a passion - love this stroller but hate the bulky fold. I use it every day for stroller walks in the neighborhood and to the park, lives in garage & comes on big outtings with us. 4. Nuna triv (SOLD) - bought when my kid started hating the mixx and I wasn’t ready for world facing yet. Liked it but once he was world facing I swapped it for something more compact since it’s still pretty big. 5. Bugaboo butterfly (2) - kind of a splurge that I didn’t need but I just wanted a stroller that lived in *my* car for everyday use and I liked the new features. 6. Guava Roam (in transit) - bought mostly for my husband to jog with but also for park outtings & rougher terrain than the vista can handle. I have a problem, it’s fine 🥲
We have the butterfly and fox 5. The butterfly is great for travel and maybe in and out of a restaurant due to its size. I still prefer my larger stroller for walks or a day at the mall. They’re both smooth but you can’t compare a travel to full size in terms of mobility and comfort.
Another vote for Bugaboo Butterfly!
We have the bugaboo butterfly v1 and love it! We never had an issue putting it in the overhead compartment, agents may want to see it actually folded up before you board but that’s it. It’s easy to go through TSA with it, I’m petite and can hold my baby and fold it with ease. I like the updates they made in the newer version but if you want to save a little you can always buy the older version. Also just to add, my parents bought the cybex travel for their car and it folds up a little smaller than the bugaboo but it’s a little clunkier to fold. My parents prefer the bugaboo but for the amount of times they use the cybex it works. It’s slightly cheaper too
Bugaboo butterfly! We’ve travelled across the world with it. Folds up so compact, fits in the overhead bin (we’ve never been forced to gate check it, in its travel bag which has the dimensions listed), and the on one handed fold is *chefs kiss*. I wanted to get the Minu V3 but didn’t like how the seat is exposed when it’s folded. I was a bit sad that the Butterfly V2 came out shortly after we got the Butterfly V1 but the new features on the V2 addresses some of the minor inconveniences we had with the V1 like having a pocket at the back!
Used the bugaboo butterfly 1 a few weeks ago with jet2 - no issues. Brought into the cabin and stored overhead easily. Flying again in Sept and will be using the joolz aer+. Renting them from baboodle and will buy the one that we like the best.
