I prioritized excellent wheels and suspension and got the Bumbleride Era ($700). I wanted real tires and it works GREAT on uneven terrain. Baby can sleep through anything. It doesn’t work with car seats though so I also have a basic snap and go car seat stroller that I keep in the trunk ($80). I had a hand me down car seat (from a trusted friend with no accidents) that didn’t work with any stroller systems so that made it easier for me

We have a bumbleride era and that thing is built well, and rides so smooth on rougher terrain and dirt trails.

We went with Bumbleride Era + Clek Liing. We got our stroller on sale since the 2024 model was released and retailers were clearing out the old stock. Might be worth checking to see if any retailers still have any. They’ll be marked down.

I love my bumble ride era. I used the graco carsest with it and I bought an attachment. Which actually folded with the stroller too. I loved it also cause I could use the bucket seat or the actual seat folds down to flat so it can be used for newborn like bassinet.

We have a Graco car seat and started out with a Bumbleride Era, which is very smooth and we deeply love. But it's heavy and expensive (or was when we got it, anyway). We bought a Nimblelite when we were travelling internationally because it's so light and because it would help us cart around the car seat and baby. The Nimblelite now lives in the car and is so great for bringing baby around to places, especially if we want her to sleep or stay sleeping. The Era lives in our apartment vestibule. We bought the car seat conversion piece when we got the stroller but haven't used it once. First she was little, the Era seat converts to a bassinet. Or we could lift the car seat around, and now that she's bigger, the car seat goes in the stroller. This arrangement works super well for us. We're having our second in a few months and looking for something that will work as a double, and it's so nice to not have to make concessions to buy a good, full stroller that can take on different surfaces but is also light and folds up small enough to fit in our car.

I got a Bumbleride Era and absolutely love it. Using it on my second baby now. I loved the handling, lower price than uppababy, that it accommodates a newborn without attachments, and that the seat can face you or face out. Turns out they have great customer service too. I did something silly and broke the seat frame. They had a new one at my door in 2 days no questions asked. Don't get caught up in needing a travel system. You need a car seat and a stroller. Canadian car seat techs overwhelmingly recommend the Clek Liing (pricy), graco snugride, or Chicco keyfit. You can often purchase an adapter to use any of these car seats in a stroller. I purchased an adapter ($90) and never took it out of the box. Car seats aren't properly leveled in strollers so it's really not recommended to have your baby in the car seat outside of the vehicle. You can get a Bumbleride Era for $1000 and the graco or Chicco car seats for $200-$400 depending on which one and whether you get it on sale. The graco is only $200 on Amazon right now.

I think this really depends on how you are going to use it. Ideally a good travel system will work for most people (stroller that comes with/attaches to car seat and/or bassinet). Are you mainly going to be using it indoors? On flat, nicely paved streets? Or for long walks? Treks across the city with a variety of terrain? Jogging? Is this something you want to fly with? Or something that will be often in and out of your car? Depending on your answers I would recommend different things. As a city-dweller, I don't mind having a heavier stroller if it means I get good shock absorption and bigger, air filled, tires. My side walks are unpredictable and I really wanted an "all terrain" stroller as I walk everywhere from the park to the grocery store. My stroller will have little to no time in my car, and zero time on an airplane. A bassinet attachment is also really important to me, as I don't want the newborn to have to use a car seat, when I don't even plan to be in my car. I also recommend getting things secondhand. Facebook marketplace is a great resource for all baby items. I currently have an almost 4 year old, and am due with this baby in September. With my first, and not knowing anything about strollers, I worked through three phases of strollers. 1-Infant travel system (Chicco Keyfit/Bravo), 2- All terrain stroller (Phil and Teds Sport, bought secondhand for almost nothing) 3-[Wagon](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09V2D4FF1?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1) \- We got this when my daughter was 2 and it became the only thing we used. Even if she doesn't ride in it, we can easily pack her stuff in it. The adjustable handle/handle options make it so she can push it around too. This is sooooo nice for the zoo. Also was great in the airport, but it is heavy. But it does fold up really easily and doesn't take up much space in our basement. If I could start all over and money were no object, I would have skipped the travel system and would probably get the Bumbleride Era, with the bassinet attachment, and a buggy board attachment for my daughter. I would still do the wagon too, eventually, but there are so many new options now I don't know if I would get something different.

This really depends on your lifestyle. Do you take public transit a lot, or mostly travel by car? Do you have ground-floor storage for your stroller, or will you need to carry it up stairs? Are you planning to have another child close in age (let's say, in the next 2ish years)? For my circumstances, I have found that I need two strollers - a lightweight one (Ergobaby Metro+) for public transport, travel etc. but that is also suitable from birth, and a heavier duty one (Bumbleride Era) that has a bassinet and can handle rougher terrain. Personally, I'm happy to take my baby in and out of the car seat so don't need the car seat to snap on to the stroller, but I know lots of people swear by this. This is my second baby, so I know what I'm doing a bit better than I did with my first! It mostly comes down to personal preference. I set up a spreadsheet with the factors that mattered most to me (e.g. lie-flat, size of wheels, bassinet-compatible, parent-facing) and key measurements (price, dimensions, weight) and just looked them all up online. I narrowed down a few options and went and saw them in person. Like you, I was surprised that my top choice on paper didn't work as well in real life and went with a different option. But it's so personal it's difficult to give concrete advice.

What works for me might not work for you because the stroller has to fit your life. So look at how and where you will use the stroller. What is the terrain? Will you use it daily for walks and/or naps or will it be primarily for quick errands and later zoo trips? For example I use my stroller every day from newborn, my kids nap in it daily, and I go for walks on many surfaces including gravel and occasionally grass. I have a Bumbleride era as my everyday walk the dog/baby sleep, single stroller. If you go on terrain other than nearly paved or indoors you need good suspension and wheels. If it’s mostly for errands then a travel stroller/lightweight you can click your infant seat to at first will suffice. If baby will need to sleep in it or be in the stroller more than a trip to the doctor you want it to be newborn compatible (have a bassinet or lay flat feature). If you don’t have a car you need some really solid basket space probably. So look at your needs and go from there.

Uppababy Cruz v2 for the stroller. I’m very much a bassinet person. You can often get some uppababy bassinets hardly used for cheap on marketplace. OR Bumbleride era. Not the most lightweight but it doesn’t need a bassinet to lie completely flat and is newborn ready. As for car seat chicco key fit is a solid seat

Consider the Bumbleride era. I have the larger version, which is the indie, and it handles the outdoors really well but is big. The era is the smaller version.
