I'd recommend checking out Bumbleride! They are all-terrain with bike-style air-filled rubber tires. The Era seat does a bassinet mode, or you can buy a separate bassinet. We're on a farm in farmland with no sidewalks and are super happy. We got the Indie + bassinet. It's (a tiny bit) cheaper and lighter than the Vista, and they have a wider range of car seat adapters. The catch is they don't do add-on seats, but they do have a toddler ride board depending on your spacing plans.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller Recommendations [on] ->Jumping in to second Bumbleride if you're anticipating gravel/trail/park/snow. We LOVE our Indie! It doesn't come sold as a travel system, but the adapters to pop on the carseat (various brands) are very easy to use.
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->I'm three months postpartum with my first so have limited experience. But here's my take! It depends on how you think you'll use your stroller and where you want to take your baby. I have the Bumbleride Indie as my only stroller so far and have been happy with it. It's an all terrain stroller that can be used for light jogs (they also have the Speed, a more robust jogging stroller). 98% of the time I'm using my stroller so far, it's for daily walks around the neighborhood. People will say don't get a jogging stroller if you need to navigate a lot of city streets and stores, and I think that's true. But I don't really have an interest in shopping with my baby at this point. I live in a small city that is sprawly so don't really walk her on errands either. I don't use public transportation so that's not a concern. I've used the stroller for doctor appointments and it's fine. It takes up almost my whole trunk (Subaru Crosstrek), if that's a concern for you. I wouldn't want to carry it up/down a lot of stairs. I use it with adapters and the clek liing car seat. I thought the adapters might be annoying but they're pretty straightforward. I plan to get an affordable umbrella stroller when baby is bigger to have a more compact option. But in this phase where babe naps a lot of the day and we mostly stay close to home, this stroller has been perfect. I didn't want to buy a bigger stroller like the UPPAbaby ones, plus eventually a jogging stroller, plus eventually a more compact umbrella stroller.
r/fitpregnancy • Stroller options: jogging stroller for everyday use as well? ->I got the Indie as well. We live near a ton of trails and I’m excited to try it out when baby gets here!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller Recommendations [on] ->We have a Bumbleride Indie from 2017 that we bought used. We have one child and have used it from day one through now (almost 5). It’s great to jog with, we’ve taken it on trails, and countless walks. It’s in excellent condition still! Edit: adding that we live in Portland, Oregon and the thing is wonderful up/down hills, and survived our rainy seasons.
r/BuyItForLife • Stroller Recommendations ->I have an older version indie I just got off marketplace since I live rural and need 3 wheels for off road terrain. With the indie I was able to just unclip the canopy from the handle area and pull it forward and I can put baby backwards in bassinet mode so they’re facing me! The bumbleride brand in general was the only brand that ticked a lot of my preferences
r/BabyBumpsCanada • BEST STROLLER/BASSINET/CARSEAT COMBO FOR 1st TIME MOM IN TORONTO? [on] ->+1 for the Bumbleride Indie, we use ours on rough terrain all the time and it works great. My daughter prefers it to the BOB stroller (rented it to try). It's not that heavy, but is a bit bulky for city use. I've used it for errands and have also taken it on the subway. I use a hiking backpack (love the Deuter) or just a regular cloth carrier in cases where I would use a simple compact stroller instead (airports, dense areas of the city) as I prefer the mobility. My daughter is only 1 though... we'll see when she gets much heavier 😆 Edit: OP I really prefer the hiking backpack for beaches and walking the dog just FYI. I find it much easier to have my hands free to hold the lease, play fetch, etc than trying to manage a stroller. Can't use one until your baby can sit up unassisted though.
r/fitpregnancy • Stroller options: jogging stroller for everyday use as well? ->I love having 2. One big burly “home” tank of a stroller (bumble ride indie, used) to keep in the garage for daily outings all around our town and parks, and one lightweight narrow one (Ergobaby metro+, new on sale) to keep in the car for outings. Love em both so far, but I have nothing to compare them to
r/NewParents • Strollers - what did you wish you knew before you bought? ->I have a Bugaboo Cameleon 3, I LOVE it. I can buy new replacement parts for it easily, it wasn't built to be disposable. The suspension is great, it works fine from going over sidewalks to dirt. I bought it 2nd hand, I loved it so much, I bought a 2nd one. You can find a good quality one for under $300, older ones for $200. I will eventually get a Buffalo or a Donkey. I also have a Bumbleride Indie jogging stroller, also amazing. Customer support is fantastic and parts are easy to get from the company.
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->The Bumbleride indie is a good option too. It can recline flat so you don't need a bassinet. You can add a car seat adapter. The Bob stroller is a beast but it is kind of bulky for public transit.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Looking for stroller recommendations [Mb] ->Consider the Bumbleride era. I have the larger version, which is the indie, and it handles the outdoors really well but is big. The era is the smaller version.
