I could not stomach the price tag of some of the popular brands. We used Chicco keyfit car seats so went all chicco strollers. We got the bravo system for our first, then when our second arrived we got the Cortina double for them both and the keyfit caddy for a minimal car seat only stroller. My favorite is the keyfit caddy. It’s light and maneuverable. Super easy. The cortina is a beast, so pretty annoying, but necessary if you have two. The bravo was a great city stroller with only one.
r/washingtondc • Affordable strollers for the city ->My baby is 9 weeks old. Here are the things we have: [Huggies](https://www.target.com/p/huggies-sunshine-pack-diaper-bag-black/-/A-92118189) diaper backpack: lots of storage, easy to wash, unisex, not too expensive. We like it. Chicco Keyfit 30: infant bucket car seat that fared very well in safety ratings. No complaints. Chicco Keyfit Caddy: super lightweight, basic stroller frame for the car seat. We take this in and out of stores, doctors appointments, etc. It is a very simple solution and we like it! Uppababy Cruz with infant insert: this stroller is a dream for walks. I imagine we’ll use it more as she grows. We do not take it in/out of the car unless absolutely necessary, because it is HEAVY. I think we’ll keep all of these things for our next baby. They work well for us, no complaints.
r/BabyBumps • Tell me what freaking diaper bag, car seat and stroller to buy. My brain is melting. ->A frame stroller is a good option! You click your car seat into it, it's basically just wheels and a handle. They make universal ones if your brand of car seat doesn't have one. We used the KeyFit Caddy with our KeyFit35 carseat as our primary stroller until she was old enough for a regular stroller.
r/NewParents • Affordable lightweight stroller recommendations for 5 week old? Not able to carry our primary stroller. ->There were a couple trips where I brought a stroller (a lightweight stroller frame - I used a chicco keyfit caddy) specifically to carry the car seat because of that exact issue. My baby never liked being strapped into the car seat so most of the time I just used the stroller to carry our stuff 🤷🏼♀️
r/babywearing • Traveling with a car seat in Uber/Lyft/Taxi and no stroller? ->I used a chicco keyfit 35 + chicco caddy as needed for my “doona replacement” for Ubers/travel and I thought it was perfect. Two pieces, yes, but both very lightweight and easy to travel with. Plus, affordable (i got the caddy secondhand and barely used for $30) and safer (at least judging by the fact that doona is not legal in Canada).
r/NewParents • Has anyone tried the Doona car seat/stroller? Is it really worth the hype? ->I haven’t tried the Doona because it’s so expensive and I’ve heard very very heavy. I struggle with my 5 month old and his normal car seat TBH. But I have been very pleased with my Chicco car seat plus caddy or stroller (we have both). I spent a lot less money and the stroller will still be helpful when bubs outgrows the car seat.
r/NewParents • Has anyone tried the Doona car seat/stroller? Is it really worth the hype? ->Our girls are 2 months. We have the Snap n Go double stroller for car seats, a single Chicco KeyFit Caddy Frame stroller that goes w/ 1 of our car seats, and then the Mountain Buggy Duet w/ bassinet attachment. We use the snap n go for doctors appointments and mountain buggy for daily walks. Love both double strollers! Not sure how much we’ll use the single. We only used it a few times when our other twin was in NICU for a longer period.
r/parentsofmultiples • Twin parents, what stroller setup worked best for you in the first year? ->I say this kindly, but you are overthinking it. There's so much dang pressure to get it right before baby arrives. We just got the Chicco caddy that our infant car seat clips into. We have been using it for 9 months exclusively and it's the easiest thing ever. So many ppl are giving them away for pennies on marketplace. Now that the lady is 9 months we purchased a forward-facing stroller (Chicco mini bravo plus) that can still hold our infant car seat if we want.
r/pregnant • Can somebody just tell me what freaking stroller to buy ->I like my chicco keyfit caddy stroller. It weighs 11lbs and it does the job. I didn’t go many places with my newborn besides around the block and grocery stores.
