I have one of those. It's on its third kid and still going strong. The plastic piece that keeps it locked in the collapsed position has gotten a little loose, but otherwise no issues.
We got the graco modes 3 platinum stroller used, but still in box for $100 didnt come with the carseat which we didnt want anyways; can be pram mode and regular also comes with tray and cup holders for both kiddo and parents. But gracos modes line of strollers are affordable and all can be put into pram style
I went with the Graco 3 in 1 travel system with the SnugRide LX/DLX car seats. It was the highest rated on targets website. Most of the car seats that Graco makes are compatible with the travel system. And it has the pramette mode on the stroller which is something I was looking for. The travel system itself with the car seat was $300.
Hey, I too got the Graco 3-1! Confused my husband a lot to figure out what to use for what age and how
I have a graco 3-1 that the infant seat clicks into. It’s a super light jogging stroller than you can open, close, and handle with one hand. I’ve had to push it through gravel and have had 0 issues. My SIL has a baby 2 months older than mine and she has a nuna system and she preferred mine. She hates having to basically take it apart to put it in the car and it takes up more room. It’s also harder to handle according to her.
Yes! Ultimately I had to pick a variable that would help me narrow down the options so I chose based on price and the fact that I want a bassinet option. It’s wild that you will have to buy multiple car seats in this baby’s life time so knowing that, I am gonna get the Grace Modes Travel system and then deal with the toddler set up later. I’m trying to be pretty minimal in my set up. After that I narrowed it down by things that would make my life easier: baby swing so I can put him somewhere safe when and close by when I shower, changing pad that isn’t cloth, bottle sanitizer (without washer because I have a dish washer), Crib+mattress+ mattress protector, pack and play that has a bassinet option so I can co-room with the baby, baby bath recliner (I have a bathtub to put him in), tummy time mat, backpack baby bag for stroller, something to strap the baby to me, baby nail filer, assortment of shampoos, creams and medicines for baby, breastfeeding pillow. I signed up for the Target, Babylist and Amazon baby gifts and I got like 4 free bottles that I can try with the baby before I figure out which he prefers. I have a ton of swaddle/burp cloths to clean up messes. 20 outfits for the first 3 months. Everything else is optional.
Yes, this is true! But it’s also very life dependent. If you’re going on long walks with the baby in the stroller every day (to the store or just to get out in the world) you’ll want something that can lay flat or get a bassinet. If you’re just popping out to grab something from the store nearby for less than 20-30 minutes, car seat on the stroller is fine. If you don’t want to buy/store a separate bassinet, but want a lay flat option, Graco modes can do that. If you want the lay flat and the big storage basket, I’d recommend the uppababy Cruz v3! It’s more expensive, but very sturdy, and I used to push it all over manhattan and use it as our car basically (when I was a nanny).
I have a graco modes and I love it. It has the car seat that snaps in which can be swapped out for a bassinet or a toddler seat. Mine can accommodate 2 kids (not 2 car seats but a toddler seat and the either another toddler seat or the car seat or bassinet). It’s easy to manuver (although a bit long and takes some getting used to) and not horrendously expensive. I haven’t been on a trail with it but it does great in the neighborhood.
Ive had two kids, very different systems in place. Cost was my biggest concern basically. Baby 1 Bed: uppa bassinet + jolly jumper rocker stand. Stand was $10 used. Bassinet came with the stroller Stroller: used uppa baby from fb marketplace. Paid $100 for the stroller, seat and bassinet. Came with a snack tray. It was around 8 years old and an outdated model Car seat: safety first seat that stayed in the car (not a system), but that adjusted from infant to 50 lbs. Cost about $300 Once baby could sit up, I ditched the uppa baby because it was too big. Opted for a Summer 3D stroller that was super portable. That cost about $80 Baby 2 Bed: ingenuity bassinet (not relevant, but showing that we didn’t have a bassinet attachment). Bought used for $30 Stroller: graco modes that we got from a friend. They gave us the whole system with the car seat. Free, but valued at $450+ brand new, and worth mentioning that this is difficult as used car seats should only from a trustworthy source. Also still had the summer 3D mentioned above, and that was compatible with the Graco snugride Car seat: graco snug ride mentioned with stroller. Free from a one-and-done friend. This baby will need a new car seat when we grow out of the bucket. She will use that summer 3D stroller exclusively when that happens as I looove how light and portable, yet sturdy, it is. Baby 2 didn’t have a bassinet stroller attachment. She is 4 months old and would be outgrowing it now. We are huge on baby wearing, so we didn’t have her in the stroller much for walks around the block. Note that dad did a lot of the bigger walks while mom was recovering. Used ergo baby carrier: $15 Sorry for the long read. All this was to say the answer doesnt need to be black and white or fit in a box
I see a lot of comments about getting the uppababy Cruz and while that one is a really popular brand, I got the *GRACO modes travel system* it comes with an infant carrier and a stroller that converts to a bassinet. It can be used with infants to toddlers for a portion of the price of the uppababy. If you’re buying everything yourself I recommend this one, one of my siblings bought the uppababy and the GRACO is essentially the same thing and runs nearly identical imo
