We have the Joie Nitro E Stroller, it’s £75 on Argos. Def recommend! It wouldn’t go in as cabin luggage though, would have to check it in - most airlines let you take a buggy all the way up to the gate and check it in for free though. Any reason you want it as cabin luggage?
r/UKParenting • Travel Strollers ->I used this for a holiday abroad when my baby was 6 months and he got on really well with it. It was super light yet not flimsy and he napped great in it. I have a Silvercross travel system which I love but I use the Joie from time to time as a lighter option. I think it’s really good for £50 if OP doesn’t want to spend much
r/BeyondTheBumpUK • Switching from travel system to lightweight stroller ->The link wasn’t working but it’s called Joie Nitro E Lightweight Umbrella Stroller - Sea You can get it at Argos
r/BeyondTheBumpUK • Switching from travel system to lightweight stroller ->I couldn’t see much on Vinted annoyingly. We ended up with a Joie Nitro for about £60. Seems okay so far but only time will tell!
r/UKParenting • Any lightweight travel stroller recommendation for under £50? ->We picked one of these up from Smyths yesterday!
r/UKParenting • Any lightweight travel stroller recommendation for under £50? ->We got one from Smyths yesterday!
r/UKParenting • Any lightweight travel stroller recommendation for under £50? ->Joie Nitro was £50 in Argos, not sure what the current price is
r/UKParenting • Any lightweight travel stroller recommendation for under £50? ->Joie nitro is great £50 from boots. You can add it into luggage without extra charge dependent on the airline. You don’t need a fancy compact one that goes overhead. Cheap and cheerful!!
r/UKParenting • Any lightweight travel stroller recommendation for under £50? ->We have the Joie Nitro stroller that we use for nursery runs (it’s a short walk from ours) and we used it on a flight to Canada, would definitely recommend it! It is 50 quid from Argos https://www.argos.co.uk/product/6144070
r/UKParenting • Any lightweight travel stroller recommendation for under £50? ->I’ve got a cheap Joie Nitro umbrella stroller, bought for travel purposes as my Baby Jogger City Elite was just too big. I gate check it. It’s survived being hauled through sand, snow, cobbled streets and I’ve also found myself using it for the nursery run as the other one is huge in the buggy storage. The thing just won’t die and has well over 500 miles on it now. Plus it was only 50 quid - sure it’s not the best stroller, but it’s surpassed my expectations. I’d echo the thoughts on taking a stroller on board. I’ve seen it a couple of times (Babyzen Yo-yo) on Singapore Airlines, but I think I’d be prepared to possibly have to gate check it.
r/UKParenting • Travel Stroller - Best Options / Real World Experiences? ->Seriously this thing has been abused and it just keeps going. Insane value for money and it’s not worth loads so it won’t be stolen!
r/UKParenting • Travel Stroller - Best Options / Real World Experiences? ->I drop it down with one hand. Need to kick 2 clips with your feet then collapse it. Pretty quick and easy.
r/UKParenting • Travel Stroller - Best Options / Real World Experiences? ->Also got a Joie Nitro here, which I bought predominantly as the Baby Jogger I've got is too big / expensive to leave in the nursery buggy store all day. It's had an absolute kicking over the last 2 years, doing 3 miles a day in all weather, it's been on beaches, in snow etc and gate checked without issue. I'd buy it again. Think I only paid about £50 for it from Argos in a sale. It's not fancy, but it's been a good workhorse and if it gets lost, stolen or broken, I don't particularly care.
r/UKParenting • Travel Strollers ->I’ve got a Nitro. It’s had the crap kicked out of it over the past few years. Planes, beaches, snow, used daily for 3 miles a day to / from nursery too. Bought it as I didn’t want to leave my expensive stroller in the nursery buggy store and because it was smaller. It’s taken some serious abuse and is still in great condition. For 50 quid it’s a bargain.
r/UKParenting • Any lightweight travel stroller recommendation for under £50? ->Not as far as I can tell sadly. I scrub it down with a brush and washing up liquid and then hose it if it’s really bad.
r/UKParenting • Any lightweight travel stroller recommendation for under £50? ->Does anyone have any idea under what circumstances airports leave a pushchair at the gate VS send it to the carousel? I've used a cheap Joie umbrella stroller a few times when travelling, wheeled it right up to the gate, and every single time it was there waiting for us at the arrival gate. This was not the case with other people's travel systems, I could see that some times it would be at the gate, and other times it would have to be collected at the bulky luggage carousel.
r/UKParenting • Travel stroller? ->When I first moved here I thought it was silly seeing so many Cadillac sized strollers with big wheels- seems contradictory. But then I realized its the cobbles stones, albeit not so wide spread in Berlin, I’ve now traveled with a stroller to Copenhagen, Prague and Lisbon and the bigger the wheels the better really or else they get stuck between stones. Thats why in Berlin and CPH buggaboos are so popular. Also, easywalkers, joolz and joie.
r/berlin • Good stroller for Berlin? ->If you drive a smaller car, make sure the stroller is gonna fit in the trunk. We have to take the wheels off our stroller when we take my husband’s Golf. Luckily, the Joie stroller we have is meant for that but still.
r/NewParents • Strollers - what did you wish you knew before you bought? ->As a new parent, buying and choosing stroller felt like a total new world with so many choices and things to consider. To be frank, it was overwhelming when starting out. We quickly realized, we wanted lightweight and easy to use ones as we would travel quite a bit. I would suggest: 1. Go to a shop like Baby Kingdom where they will explain different type of strollers. 2. Choose the stroller type you want and then look for sale or discounts over next few months. 3. We finalized Hamilton Z1/R1 something like that and it was 450, but we got a sale on Mothercare and got it for around 320. 4. As others said, carousell can be a good option and 2 years later after quite heavy use of Hamilton stroller we bought a like new Joie on carousell. For new born, I think it is important to ensure the stroller has at least 170 degree recline if not 180. We didn’t buy car seat or baby seat attachment for our stroller.
r/askSingapore • Parents in Singapore, where do you get your stroller and how much was it? ->I used to go to Mummy's Market at Suntec to try different brands of strollers, then bought during Shopee sale. Personally I used Joie until my baby was about 15 months old, by then the seat was getting too small for her, so I switched to Baby Jogger and been using it for about a year now. I think both are pretty good for the price. I know Bugaboo / Babyzen Yoyo brand is very popular but it's beyond my budget, and I'm not keen on getting second hand due to personal reasons.
