"I think you really need a one hand fold and a shoulder strap for the subway."
"it’s THE EASIEST one hand fold of all the ones I looked at."
"The one-handed folding mechanism on the Aer is so worth the extra money for me!"

"and it fits as cabin luggage"
"if you want a lightweight stroller, I highly recommend the joolz aer. I live in a city and take it on transit all the time, it's easy to fold and unfold and is super light."

"I recommend this as a main buggy as well! ... It’s literally the best."
"We literally got rid of our Uppa Baby and just use our Joolz aer now."
"We use the Joolz Aer as our only stroller. We live in a country where we mostly move by car and there are not my “off roads” paths. We are also expats so we travel a lot internationally and we bring the stroller with us in the cabin."

"Joolz Aer is not universally accepted as a cabin-friendly pram - often you have to prove to the check-in staff that it can fold compact"
"in theory fits in overhead lockers but they always take it at the gate!"

"What both the bugaboo and the Joolz is NOT good for is the rough terrain of Central Park. ... We tried it and it was terrible. ... A lot of the Central Park winding paths have bumpy roads because of the large tree roots so it was such a pain to maneuver."
"because the strroller is so light, it puts more effort on you to keep it steady and that got tiring QUICKLY and i usually do that walk with no problem. ... becaues at every driveway on the sidewalk it wants to roll towards the street."
"We go on walks in forests and on non stable ground, plus it snows where I live and the wheels wouldn’t be able to handle it."

"I walk to the grocery store with my babe often and the basket on it is way too small."
"if I’m planning on spending a long day outside with both my infant and my 5 year old, I’ll opt for my Uppababy Vista, as I can put everything I could possibly need for the day (e.g., diaper bag, water bottles for everyone, my 5 yo’s soccer ball, the sweatshirts we’ll need in the morning but eventually throw off in the afternoon, etc), in the basket of the Vista. That’s not possible with the Joolz."
"Basket size - I could easily put in a whole nappy bag into the bugaboo but really struggled with the joolz"

"I thought the reclining mechanism as well as the folding mechanism were a little bit more awkward. ... The seat recliner with this little hook on the side vs all position reclining with the bugaboo"
"The only con with Joolz for me is the way you adjust the inclination, it’s a little impractical expecially if the baby is laying in it."
"The recline ... I find them all far better than the Joolz!"
the Joolz AER2 just became available on GoodBuy Gear, so you can now get the Joolz AER+ for an even deeper discount. We got the 2025 AER+ from there and did end up needing to buy a separate leg extender for our 8 month old so his feet wouldn't dangle. I found one on Amazon for like $25 and it works great. The Joolz AER2 comes with the leg extender built in, but the stroller is more expensive. I absolutely love this stroller. The canopy is awesome on it and the push is super smooth.
This is a bit late but I have the joolz aer2 and so far I love it. The zipping for reclining is a bit annoying as it requires you to use both hands when zipping it back up again and the storage basket underneath isn't very spacious but I still love it. It handles uneven rough terrain alright and most importantly is very comfy ( so much so that my toddler who hated his first stroller—mothercare journey edit—loves going on this one). The seats are padded well and the footrest is also padded so they are comfortable for the littles ones. Plus it's easy to fold and carry especially with the built in strap which let's you carry it over the shoulder. An incredibly useful feature when both hands are occupied. It also fully reclines and the sun shade has great coverage making it ideal for naps and walks in sunny conditions. My only real issue is with the foldable bumper. It tends to detach when opening it to strap in or take out the baby. Plus my toddler is able to push it and detach it too. This flimsiness can be annoying, especially because it costs quite a bit and has to be purchased seperately. But otherwise it's a great stroller and I love taking it out on walks. I haven't used the bugaboo but the upright on joolz is great and I think the wheels are a tad bigger too making them more suitable for rougher terrain. Personally I would recommend heading to a store and checking both out and seeing which one is better for you. For me comfort for my baby was supreme so I love that the joolz seat is padded well and comfy. The straps also have padding and mesh, making them breathable and comfy for the baby and toddler.
I would go joolz aer 2 and then get the carrycot
I disagree— I have both the Minu v3 and aer2 and can confidently say that Joolz Aer2 sits much more upright. My Minu also doesn’t push nearly as well after using it for 2 weeks. I keep relubricating the front wheels but that only seems to help for a few days.
The Aer2 does lay completely flat in the USA
ALRIGHTY EVERYONE!!! I got the Nia in today and compared it side by side with my Joolz Aer2 (I have had the OG Aer and Aer+ in the past) and the Uppababy Minu V3. I only allow myself to keep 2 travel strollers at any one time and so I will be saying goodbye to the Minu V3! Here’s the lowdown… What Nia does the best: best seat liner, best looking, self-folding belly bar, highest handle height, straightest seat, biggest basket, easiest/best recline, easy to attach the car seat adapters Where Nia could improve: wheel quality, you need to recline seat a bit to fold, fold isn’t as tidy/compact, would be better with storage bag, would prefer a single handed leg rest adjustment, magnetic buckle is finicky and harness is hard to adjust, sun canopy is smaller than competitors and the peekaboo window is only on the extension panel you need to unzip, fabric feels great but I worry about longevity What Joolz Aer2 does the best: best push, best sun coverage, best fold (seriously cannot be beat), most comfortable shoulder strap, best wheel quality, best harness, most durable feeling fabric, comes with storage bag, best warranty (10 year transferable) What Joolz Aer2 could improve: the recline mechanism (especially when using for newborn/ with car seat), self-folding belly bar, tidiness of seat fabrics (just look a bit mangled), sturdiness of leg rest, size of basket, car seat adapters are difficult to put on and use since you need seat to be reclined, no peekaboo window What Minu V3 does best: best customer service, real leather handle covers, best brake system, best leg rest, best peekaboo window, adjustable crotch buckle What Minu V3 could improve: upright seat angle, fabric quality, front wheel design (they get stuck and click a lot), push, fold (I have had issues with the latching mechanism, don’t love the seat liner on the exterior, and the back wheels stain the seat back when folded), car seat adapters are difficult to put on, weight, colorways, awkward shoulder strap, would be better with storage bag Anything else I can compare for anyone?
Not necessarily. Part of the problem with Joolz for newborn/car seat is needing to zip up the recline to fold. Folding it when it isn’t reclined is a dream, but it needs to be zipped before fold and then unzipped before usage after unfolding. This usually isn’t a problem as kiddos get older. If you are leaving it open a lot, it will be fine for newborn but if you constantly need to quickly convert for a baby that cannot sit on own (only a problem until 6 months) it can be a hassle. Additionally, yeah— the more your switching to car seat use the better Nia will be. Also, would you be getting the bassinet? That makes an impact too. For cobblestones in Paris, I think Joolz will be best because of the larger front wheels, even without the swivel lock. Additionally, the sun coverage on Joolz with the toddler seat will be the best for Hawaii, but if you’re doing the bassinet on Nia that will likely be best. It’s all situational. Based on your plan of using it primarily over 6 months, though, I would say you would be very happy with Joolz. There’s also proven (and warrantied) longevity with the Joolz that I think needs to be taken into account while choosing.
Joolz aer 2 and Nuna pipa URBN are what I’m doing for my nyc baby. This combo is most versatile for travel etc.
I’m a runner and I desperately want a jogging stroller but I went and saw them today and they are HUGE, even when folded. We live in manhattan in a decent sized 1 bedroom with a smallish entryway. I know we are getting the joolz aer 2 travel stroller as our main. If we move to an apartment where there is somewhere to put the Thule, I’d love to have one. Where we live now tho, it would be very hard to get rid of enough stuff to have a place to keep the Thule. So be warned, don’t bring too much stuff with you when you move to NYC.
Agreed. Friends have the Yoyo which is typically the other main contender but are jealous of our AER2 and prefer it.
We have the Aer and love it for travel! We’ve taken it onto the plate and put it in the overheads no problem. Our son is 19 months now and still uses it, but does like to walk occasionally, but his stamina is low so it still get use! You’ll probably time you end up using it more than your original one, especially in London as it’s so light and easy to handle.
We have a Joolz Aer2 and it’s great, for a newborn though I would recommend getting the Nest to Seat or the carrycot as although the stroller seat lays flat, our little boy didn’t fasten in safely until he was close to 6 months old.
I have the joolz aer and it’s been great. It’s in great condition after multiple trips and gets used at least once a week. It gets used as much as our vista. I don’t know the concern about the zipper recline but we’ve never had an issue with it!
This one is so underrated in the US but it’s amazing!
We got the joolz aer2 for travel with adapters. Previously we had the gb pockit, which folds up super tiny (under seat tiny) but just doesn’t have as easy a fold. We kept both but intend to travel with the aer2
