I have a joovy kooper, it’s is as lightweight as you are going to get with a full size stroller, I like that it does the trifold down and will stand up on its own when folded. It will allow a child to lay down flat when reclined. I bought an infant car seat attachment bar for when he was in the infant car seat, it goes where the snack tray is allows an infant seat to be put into it so they face you. I personally think it is the best stroller that has a lot more to it than an umbrella stroller and has a lot of the bells and whistles but without the price and weight of some of the bigger expensive ones.
Check out the Joovy Kooper—it hits most of your must-haves: under 17 lbs, one-hand fold, upright seat, deep recline, great canopy, and a solid basket. It even has a snack tray included, which is rare for a compact stroller. Started with new uppababy vista, bought a used joovy double stroller, bought a new wonderfold W4, bought an umbrella stroller, bought a bugaboo donkey duo, sold the joovy, sold uppababy vista, bought a new uppababy minu and car seat adapter for the W4. planning on selling bugaboo donkey. Will likely end up buying a jogging stroller + bike trailer to replace our non-stroller convertible bike trailer. I have 3 kids, 3.5, 2, and 3.5mo. Different strollers have been useful for different seasons of parenting.
I probably wouldn’t have minded it if I got a newer version, but I bought it second hand and my guess is it’s from 2018/2019, and it just wasn’t the nicest to push, especially fully loaded with 2 or more kids. It felt flimsy (compared to my uppababy vista or even the joovy. It was challenging to fold, the wheels were air filled (I like the foam tires more, which I think I could have replaced), and I just didn’t love the basket + seat combo when in single mode. For just 2, I’d probably have stuck with the uppababy vista, especially if your kids are on the more average side. My oldest was nearly at the weight capacity for the rumble seat, so I would have had to always have him up top which wasn’t ideal.
I did the joovy twin with the car seat adapters and then at like 6 months old I just moved on to my baby jogger double stroller (which is the best thing ever). Honestly I didn’t go out with them much as babies other than doctors appointments and errands I generally had a second person with me until they could sit in a carriage.
