With my first baby I had the Chicco KeyFit 30 and the $100ish Caddy that you can buy to go with it. Of all of my strollers that one was my favorite. We used it so much for both of our kids that it got a hole worn in the bottom. I used it many times a day every day. And when she outgrew that we got a very nice Maclaren Volo (thrifted for $25) that was also used several times a day every day. We drive two sedans and it was nice that they fit in the trunk without taking up much room. We also lived on a second floor walk up and both were light enough I could carry the entire stroller (with the kid still strapped in) up the stairs by myself Once we had the second baby we invested in the Uppanbay Vista, and although I love it, I would **NOT** want that thing for everyday use, and I think it is wayyyy overkill for one kid. We use it for places like the zoo where we’ll be walking a lot, or when I walk the older one to school (2 miles each way, 4 miles total). But for day to day we’d just bring the caddy and/or umbrella stroller with us because they’re lighter and easier. Vista has great suspension which is really helpful when you have two heavy kids. It pushes more easily than the cheaper ones. But with one kid I would not get it. Since your kid is already 11 months I’d get a nice umbrella stroller and call it a day (loved our Volo, which is only $100-200, vs over $1000 for the Vista)
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->Yes. Two maclaren umbrella strollers. You will be despised walking down a sidewalk with a giant double stroller
r/ParisTravelGuide • Double stroller while visiting? ->we have a maclaren, works grea
r/Mommit • Travel stroller recommendations? ->Living in Europe too and MacLarens are where it’s at.
r/Mommit • Should we bring our main stroller to Italy? ->Whatever has big wheels and is narrow. We used a McLaren when we lived in Madrid.
r/toddlers • Best Stroller for tall 2 year old for Europe/ cobblestone ->I lived in Europe, not Italy but Madrid. And omg a doona will beyond not work in Europe. The sideways/curbs/roads are very uneven, those small wheels will never work. You also don’t want a super wide stroller either. Narrowed doorways small elevators metro turnstiles busy sidewalks the list goes on. We had a McLaren there and it was great. Depending on how often youre taking buses you may need to factor in frequently collapsing youre stroller if you want a seat. Also theives target strollers so nothing Valuable on the stroller.
r/Mommit • Should we bring our main stroller to Italy? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
