We got an ultra air x. It is very light, rolls smooth and turns easy. But it has a lot of problems. The worst being that the folding joints aren't finger safe. Most other strollers have a sort of closed joint construction. This one has so many unprotected joints for you to pinch your hand and pull skin off when they lock. You really got to be careful. Some other minor complaints: - the standard angle of the back is too relaxed. And you cant make it more upright - the bumper bar(?) doesn't lock in position and can move up and down too easy. - the folding roof when fully retracted hits your hands on the pushbar which is annoying. All of these seem fixable, if the company adjust some parameters. The joints are particularly bad and I think it would be enough to not recommend it right now.
Highly recommend the Mamazing bassinet stroller. It fits your needs and budget. We absolutely love ours
The uppababy g-luxe is pretty light, but I’m not sure if it’s cabin-approved. Its accessories are kinda meh, and the CS is exhausting. We switched to the mamazing ultra air later and love it. Super light, folds even smaller, fits between the car seats while the g-luxe had to go in the trunk
My Mamazing Ultra Air has been on several trips with us. It fits perfectly in the overhead bin on the plane. I'm not very strong but it's easy to fold and lift with one hand. I hesitated for a long time before choosing it but for a travel system, lightweight is everything. So highly recommended!
I just bought the ultra air on mamazing’s eBay store for $70. It does NOT come with a travel bag. It was open box (the interior bags looked open/foams looked a bit out of place), but not a scratch on the thing and pristine wheels. I imagine maybe someone opened it and tested it in their home and returned it. The push is smooth on smooth surfaces (like inside my house), outside is more bumpy but that’s what my full size is for. The folding mechanism doesn’t engage smoothly, I find myself needing to press the button several times before it starts to unfold, but my only other frame of reference is my friend’s joie nutmeg, which folds easier. I love how light it is but yet it feels stable. It doesn’t have an upright sitting angle, so my baby is constant trying to sit up and I’m afraid my baby is not comfortable/in preferred position, but no fussing so I guess it can’t be that bad. Handle height from ground is 39.4 inches (~100cm). We are tall parents and it feels ok. We traveled abroad at some point with an umbrella stroller handle height at 96cm and that felt too short. TLDR: I wish the folding mechanism was better and that it had a more upright. For purpose of travel/super short pushes between parking lot and park, it’s an amazing deal for the money I paid and I’m very happy with this purchase. Now I will be on the hunt for a gate check bag!
I used the Mamazing Ultra Air for a cross-country flight. Super light to carry and the recline was perfect for my baby' s naps on the plane.
We love our mamazing. Folds up super easily, fits in the overhead bin, and we use it all the time for zoo trips and grocery runs. It even magically squeezes into our cramped back seat
second the mamazing ultra air. I really like it. super light and folds really tiny. the carbon fiber build quality feels great. seems like a lot of storage. seat reclines
We’ve had this one for months. Got it for a trip to Europe in the summer. 18 month old at the time basically lived in it for 2 weeks. Still rocking hard after 6 flights and 6 months.
Bought our ultra air with an organizer at $230ish and it’s been great. Took it on a few trips already, super convenient and light
eBay's not a bad idea. I got my first Mamazing there too. It was super lightweight, though mine came a bit more worn than I expected. If OP is concerned about that, just grab a new one directly from their website.
we went with this one too. way more affordable so travel dings and scratches don’t hurt as much lol. the carbon fiber does feel pretty solid tho
