We have the new maxi cosi zelia system. I think the mixed reviews are from an older version and they’ve since improved the wheel and shock system. Anyways our baby isn’t here yet lol but our test runs have all been great so far.

Yes, the stroller marker it insanely overwhelming. I had no idea how complicated it all was before I got pregnant! We went to west coast kids to check some out in person and left empty handed, feeling extremely overwhelmed. In the end we decided on a travel system - we bought the maxi cosi “new generation Zelia

We did go into a store to look at them but besides attempting to fold one up, we never bothered lifting any of the components. I ended up getting the Maxi Cosi Zelia 5-in-1 car seat and stroller and while it did the job, that freaking thing was HEAVY. Especially the car seat. Lugging that into the store for a quick run, or even to/from a restaurant for ex, was a pain in the ass. And the sun protection cover extended right under the handle (flush) so if it was up all the way, which it often was, it made carrying more of a pain. In a perfect world I probably would have sprung for an all terrain type so I could have gone for walks in the winter or even on gravel with ease.

Also a FTM and we got the Maxi Cosi Zelia, it came with the bassinet and car seat which was a huge selling point for us at I don’t think the UB Vista does (or at least not both). Our baby is due in May but so far the setup was a breeze and I’ve gotten acquainted with switching out the attachments and changing the bassinet into the toddler seat - all super easy once you get the hang of it, I watched some YouTube videos to help me know what I’m doing lol. I’m happy with my purchase and think I still will be once baby is here and we use it for real!

I was team Uppababy for the longest time and was ready to shell out 2k+ for a stroller, car seat, and bassinet - don’t get me wrong they are GORGEOUS…but a few weeks ago I was just like…am I seriously considering this?! My husband was more than happy to still get one and just wanted me to be happy, but I just couldn’t justify the total costs and would much rather spend money on other things. We ended up going with the Maxi Cosi Zelia travel system, and we are SO happy with it right now! Easy to set up, the car seat and stroller is light, we’ve tested it outside and it rides smooth…and it was $900 for everything! I wouldn’t let the reviews totally change your mind if it’s still one you’re considering.

I went to West coast kids, they had the largest selection, so we could actually try things out that were in our price point. I feel like we should have gone for a slightly more expensive one that can transition to 2 babies as we will likely have a second child quite quickly. Overall I am happy with the stroller we got though! The staff was super helpful in directing us to strollers in our price range that were suitable for our intended walks. I live in a small town, with paved and gravel roads. We ended up with the maxi-cosi zelia 5in1 travel system. The infant car seat was easy to install in the car, and the bassinet converts into a toddler seat, so there are only 2 attachments which I like! Both the car seat and the bassinet/toddler seat can be forward or rear facing. The storage basket is large as well.

I had the zelia max, uppababy Cruze v2 and I’m now using an ergobaby metro 3. I loved the zelia! It was light, bassinet feature was amazing and it was a great deal when on sale for a travel system. It got damaged when I was on holiday and I got the Cruz which is easier to push but heavier for sure. So heavy I’ve just replaced it with the new metro stroller. I say get the zelia, it was beautiful in black and felt premium. I got it from Nordstrom before they vanished and it was absolutely worth it. People compare the zelia to uppababy which I don’t think is fair. It’s better than Graco but not as good as uppababy and it’s priced where it belongs. This sub swears by certain brands like uppababy, baby bjorn, woolino etc and it’s honestly not that deep.

I have both the maxi cosi travel system and uppababy Cruz. Maxi cosi travel system on sale worked out to be similarly priced to a bassinet and car seat for my uppababy. For car rides I almost used the maxi cosi since it was way lighter and its bassinet feature was extremely convenient. For walks (no steps to leave my house) I would use the uppababy because it was a smoother ride. I’m now waiting on the minu v3 as my kid is older and I want something light and compact.

We have the Maxi Cosi Zelia and love it. I wanted a bassinet mode and it was one of the few that had it. The handle is adjustable so me at 5'2 and husband at 5'10 can both use it comfortably. The downside is the stroller can be bulky. We have an SUV (Rogue) and a sedan. The stroller takes up the entire trunk of the sedan. We had always planned to buy a second stroller for my husband's car so we just got a smaller one we use for travel. Other than that we have no complaints. I love the storage and that we can pick which way the toddler seat faces.

As a mom weight was one of my key concerns too. The Maxi Cosi Zelia Max beat out a few other similar ones as it was the lightest, and we ended up being very happy with it.

I have the Maxi Cosi Zelia and LOVE it! But we’ve only been using it for 4 months now. No issues with the wheels, although I also read those posts before buying and was a bit nervous. Here’s what I love about it: The handlebar height is easily adjustable. It also feels nice. The fact that it comes with a newborn car seat that fits into the stroller has made our lives extremely easy. The bassinet feature lays truly flat and is nice and roomy so I imagine I’ll be able to use it for quite a while. It’s super easy to fold up and is pretty compact when folded. I get compliments on it all the time. The bottom is quite roomy. The stroller also handles really well. Like it’s a really smooth ride. I was worried about the cup holder because I saw other complaints about it, but it’s so easy to put on and take off. I just leave it off unless I’m planning to use it. Or I put my phone in it. If the Luxe model was available when we purchased our stroller I 100% would have bought that! Because this version already feels so luxe, I can only imagine how nice that version would be! The only thing I don’t love about it is that I sometimes find the infant car seat straps difficult to adjust (loosen and tighten), but I’m not sure if that’s just how infant car seat straps are. It’s not a dealbreaker by any means. It also does feel really nice and safe, thankfully. And my big/tall 4month old is still fitting comfortably in it (we’ve adjusted to the biggest settings now). The only other thing I didn’t consider when buying it was that it’s not really meant for trails. I live in BC and I tried to go on a gravel trail and it was not good. Like just too bumpy. But I think that’s any stroller that’s not designed for off-road/trails. So I’m considering getting a second stroller just for that (something like a Thule). Happy to answer any other questions you might have about this stroller!

FTM too. I was super overwhelmed trying to figure out which system to go with and we landed on the Maxi Cosi Zelia as well. Our little guy arrived Jan. 1st and so far we’ve been loving it!! My husband raves about how easy it is to transition the car seat onto the stroller (and back into the car), and then how seamlessly the stroller folds down and fits well in our trunk.   We haven’t used the bassinet with our baby yet, but when I tested it out at the store, it was the only one that actually truly folded flat (of the systems that fold into bassinets; not talking about actual bassinet attachments.) I also found the bassinet to be bigger when comparing to others. It’s nice that you don’t need a third attachment for the bassinet.   I’ve also found that the stroller itself manoeuvres so well. It’s a really smooth ride. And not that it matters at all but we got a ton of compliments on the stroller from the nurses when we were leaving the hospital.   Really happy with this stroller so far!

In your budget the maxi cosi travel system all the way. I had it, loved it. It’s not too heavy, comes with absolutely everything you need. Car seat and the regular seat can convert from bassinet to upright. It’s awesome. Sometimes you can find the whole system in target at a very hefty discount.

We got the Maxi Cosi travel system!! Comes with an infant car seat that can click into the stroller base, and has a seat that can be a bassinet or a regular seat for a toddler. Can be switched to face forward or backward too. 10/10 and stylish for the price!

I live in a large city with extensive public transportation but also have a car that I use relatively frequently, so a travel system was key for us. I found a MaxiCosi travel system on super sale with some cash back options so purchased it for verrrrry cheap. If I lived in the suburbs and didn't need a hearty stroller for days out on the town, walking/on subways/buses, I might regret the purchase as it folds quite large and takes up basically the entire trunk of my station wagon. But it does suit my needs very well, and when we make car trips we just take the size into consideration as we pack up to go. Personally, I wanted one new so that I wouldn't have to clean all the textile components before use.
