We have the Urbn and love it!! But I’ll say, we are city folk and take a lot of cabs and Ubers, so it really is our best option. We have the Mixx Next and it’s great, but definitely a large and heavy piece of equipment. We have a lighter weight travel stroller for jaunts where we need to be more portable.
r/Buyingforbaby • Nuna travel system review please ->I have a chicco Corso Primo ClearTex Travel System and a Nuna mixx. I prefer the chicco over the nuna tbh. It's bigger and fits my 10m old better than the nuna does. The nuna I feel like could suit her better when she's bigger. She looks awkward in it. Like too far down almost looks like she can slide down. They both fold in nicely and I feel like the suspension is the same for both. I've taken them both out camping/hiking and to the beach. If you weren't so far I'd gift you my nuna I rarely use it.
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->We ended up choosing the Nuna mixx with the pipa car seat. I would suggest going to the stores of your options to try them out. I was so overwhelmed as well and didn’t know where to start. We tried ones at target, where you have to figure them out yourself, and then we ended up in Nordstrom where an employee educated in every single option they have was able to help us narrow down what we needed and demonstrated the features.
r/Mommit • Best travel system strollers? ->Nuna Mixx Next. Has a Nuna car seat adapter for infants. (Don’t bother buying a bassinet, you’ll need it for like no time at all.) Holds kids up to 50lbs (we still use it occasionally and my son is 3). Folds up smaller than the Uppababy Vista. Cons: it’s heavy (almost 30 lbs) but I mean it’s a full size stroller. We have 7 stairs so we make it work. It also doesn’t convert for two kids like the Vista does, but we’re one and done so that works for us. It also doesn’t have a child cup or snack holder like the Vista does. BUT the suspension is killer, we love how small it folds up, and it’s held up great with pretty rough use for three years now.
r/AskChicago • Parents of Chicago - what strollers do you swear by for walking these bumpy sidewalks ? ->Lots of great strollers out there for all budgets, but if you don't really have a budget id say look at Uppababy, Nuna, bugaboo, and Silver Cross for anything involving strollers/ carseats. The nuna pipa RX is very very popular and seems to rank as 1 of the best for various reasons. Theres a few of different Pipa versions though, so be sure to look at Nunas website to look at differences. Other popular infant carseats besides Nuna consist of models from Uppababy, Chicco, cybex. I won't go into all of them here. Your going to have to jump down the rabbit hole lol Strollers all come down to what exactly you want out of your stroller. What terrain your in, suspension, wheels, ease of use, and of course adjustable handle bar. Many of the top brands already have most of these things so it's kinda hard to mess up. The differences are there, but aren't super big. It all comes down to nitpicking with stroller A being slightly better in suspension (or whatever your looking at) than Stroller B. However stroller B has a bigger under basket than Stroller A, etc etc etc. Definitely look at those brands i listed for strollers if your budget isn't much of an issue, and start comparing some models they show on the websites. Personally though my top 3 picks i had in mind after doing all my research was between Nuna Mixx Next, Uppababy Cruz v2, and the Silver Cross Reef. We ended up choosing the Mixx Next since we already made the decision to choose the Pipa. Getting a nuna stroller seemed like a no brainer, and the suspension is probably the best overall against the competition, and i love the skydrape for the infant seat. Uppababy has a very strong solid steel frame (nunas seems flimsy but its not. Its simply the suspension doing its thing), a larger under basket than the Mixx next. Silver Cross strollers seem to be in a league of their own but they are VERY expensive, and the main reason I decided against choosing it. They are known for officially making the strollers/prams for the royal family. They got deep history and the strollers are known for being very high quality (hence the price). I never got to test 1 in person, but im sure it glides just as good as the Nuna and Uppababy.
r/Buyingforbaby • Best travel system for a baby? ->Just a heads up, I have the Nuna mixx next and the base plus the stroller seat doesn’t fit in my sedan Mazda 6 trunk when folded together. I have to put it in separately which takes up the entire trunk. Idk if it will be the same case with Impreza.
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->What you are planning and what your baby wants is completely different. We got the Nuna Mixx and it felt like a waste initially cause we were always pushing an empty stroller around with her worn on me. We live in a neighborhood with rough terrain so wanted one with big wheels and suspensions. At one year old she finally could sit for 10 minutes in the stroller without fussing. Then we caved and bought a second travel stroller because our primary one was heavy and massive and felt too big for trips to the mall/grocery. And proceeded to purchase a third Thule chariot for bike trips. It really depends on your lifestyle, but if your aren’t planning on daily long stroller walks, you could probably swing babywearing for the first couple of months.
r/NewParents • Strollers - what did you wish you knew before you bought? ->I originally bought the Nuna Tavo and I hated it. I ended up buying the Uppababy Cruz v2 and also hated that one lol. In the end, I bought the one I wanted all along but always thought was too expensive - the nuna mixx. I love the Mixx so if you have any questions, happy to answer them! I would get something that is: 1. Has the ability to be parent facing 2. Has a easy / not irritating fold 3. Can lie back all the way for a newborn 4. Fits in your trunk 5. Has a capsule adapter so if bub is sleeping, you can take off the seat and snap in the seat It’s worth it to buy the stroller that you want as you’ll use it a lot. I use my stroller everyday and don’t regret paying $865 with tax for my stroller.
r/NewParents • Strollers - what did you wish you knew before you bought? ->I also live in the suburbs of nyc and love the pipa rx. I got the mixx next for the flat recline feature and then never used it. Stroller is great but heavy to take in and out of the car for errands
r/Buyingforbaby • Nuna Travel System ->I have the Nuna mixx next and love it. It lives in my car bc my garage is full and I don’t want to bring it into the house all the time. I got it for the near lay flat recline for newborns which I never used. All walks were in the car seat attached to the stroller. But we didn’t so long walks due to the weather. We switched to the regular stroller seat and he’s been happy
r/Buyingforbaby • Stroller Help ->I have the Nuna pippa car seat + Nuna mixx seat. The base fits both. It’s the lightest on the market (important if you live with lots of stairs). I love the suspension on the Nuna mixx - it handles bumps really well & rides smoothly. Very easy to fold and unfold. The mixx seat reclines fully for use with newborn, and folds up into a seat for older babies. We’re very happy with it all and use all components everyday.
r/Buyingforbaby • Nuna Travel Lx vs. Nuna Triv vs. Uppababy Minu V2 ->I have - a nuna mixx - yoyo baby zen - an even flow pivot explore - fb marketplace - and just for a bob jogger off fb marketplace for running her to school The zen we wanted for travel because lugging around strollers is shit. But that and the evenflow have zero suspension - nearly launched her out hitting an uneven sidewalk one day. The nuna has great suspension - it’s our daily driver. The bob however is also super awesome. I think looking back, I’d get the bob. There are attachments for car seats, tray tables, cup holder caddies for your stuff. I like it way better. I got one free off a mom group and that thing lasted multiple families for what seems like 10 years. The wheels are worn but easy to replace. They are solid pieces of equipment I would highly recommend a bob jogger. If you would have told me two years ago that I’d have four strollers I’d think you are crazy. We use the shit out of all of them though so 🤷🏻♀️
r/BuyItForLife • Stroller Recommendations ->We used our Nuna Mixx a bit but mostly just baby wore him in the hiking backpack. He was 2 then at Yellowstone.
r/yellowstone • Stroller in Yellowstone ->Live in downtown Manhattan. Travel almost every weekend by personal car, walk and subway everywhere, have flown four times already with one trip being international (8 Month old). Obsessed with our Nuna Mixx Next w Urbn Pipa car seat. Will get a side-by-side double for our second (likely bugaboo). Was told by my siblings who are parents of multiples to not be duped into Uppababy craze.
r/beyondthebump • Best stroller/travel system ->Are you me??? Im dying withoununa aire rx rn!! I am 5’5 and my husband is over a foot taller than me. We are going with the silver cross reef 2, bugaboo butterfly and nuna aire rx. The silver cross is soooo smooth and lux, it will last forever but it can be heavy (I plan on removing the seat from the frame when I put it in the car). We got the bundle with the bassinet attachment that’s safe for sleep for around $1,500. Then we got the bugaboo butterfly ($450) for travel, but that’s for when babe is around 6 months old. It’s super light weight and has a tall back, which is good if you end up with a taller kiddo. Picked the nuna aire rx ($600) because it’s so light weight, I like the features and materials. I found a lot of the cheaper options fall apart quickly and don’t seem comfy at all, but obviously every baby is different. There is no wrong option, everything does the same thing and goes through the same safety inspections
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->We had a Nuna Pipa and Nuna Mixx and loved them.
r/Mommit • Help! Drowning in a Car Seat and Sea of Strollers - Need a Lightweight Safe Travel System for a Newborn that they can grow into. ->Very happy with the Nuna Mixx with their infant car seat. Bassinet attachments not great with hills (or so we were told, we never got one but seems obvious once you think about it). I recommend going to Aldea on Valencia—the staff there are very knowledgeable including one woman who used to nanny so has lived with all the options. We like the Mixx because it’s got the stability of a bigger stroller but isn’t super long for tight turns at the grocery store or a bookstore. I wish it folded a touch smaller or flatter for car travel but it’s smaller than most the premium strollers people talk about. Saw the Joolz Aer+ recently and that looked cool but probably not as stable and less cargo room.
r/AskSF • Parents Question --Which Stroller to buy for SF living? ->I have Nuna Pipa Aire and Nuna TRVL LX. Love it! Car seat clips into the stroller without any adapters and the TRVL LX also is newborn ready without the car seat since it lays nearly flat. Stroller is 15 pounds and folds down in one button
r/Buyingforbaby • Looking for a lightweight travel system ->Cybex and Nuna are better than Mockingbird as a general brand guideline. But it sounds like you want more of a travel or mid size stroller rather than a full sized one - full sized ones (like the Vista) are nice and typically have a lot of bonus features, better steering, etc, but they're pretty big and bulky and not super easy to take places. I personally have a full sized one for at home use walking the dog regularly, and then a smaller travel stroller for the car. If I was going somewhere that would be all day or tons of walking I'd bring the big one but for just a quick trip to the park it's not worth the hassle. So for travel strollers, I'd look at the uppababy minu v3 or the nuna trvl. Bugaboo butterfly is also solid but it's pricier. Those will all fold up easily and fit in the car pretty well. They do have lighter frames and aren't quite as sturdy or smooth of a push as a bigger stroller. Another option would be the uppababy Cruz or nuna mixx, which are in between the two. Not quite full sized so easier to travel with but not as compact as a full on travel stroller. It'll have a better push and be a little sturdier but without all of the bulk of a full sized. Bugaboo's version (again, very nice but pricey) is the dragonfly. I'm not as familiar with cybex's models but my stroller obsessed MIL likes them!
r/BabyBumps • What's the best stroller for me? ->I can’t speak to that specific Nuna model, but every Nuna product we’ve had has been an absolute luxurious dream compared to other brands. When sold our Nuna Mixx and bought a Vista, and honestly the vista is crap in comparison. Every single aspect of the Nuna is nicer. It’s easier to clean, easier to fold, easier to maneuver, seats are more comfortable for my kids, seats are longer and fit my kids longer, the recline functions are better, and the sun shades are much bigger. If Nuna had this option when my second was born; we would have bought it.
r/2under2 • Side by side double stroller recommendations ->We have a travel system but have never once used the Carseat on the stroller. We usually carry baby from car seat into the apartment if he’s asleep and he tends to stay asleep. I also don’t want baby in car seat longer than absolutely necessary due to the less than optimal position for the baby (risk of positional asphyxiation, especially when newborn). We have the Nuna Mixx stroller and absolutely love it. It has a much smaller turning radius than the Uppababy we found and the suspension keeps things smooth for baby. You can lie baby flat from newborn with the standard attachment but we got the bassinet part as it was just easier to pile blankets on during the fall. ETA: baby is 3 months and is going to outgrow the bassinet in the 2-3 weeks I think. So the bassinet is for a super short amount of time but I think worth it as it’s anything to make life easier in the crazy newborn days- faffing with strapping in a newborn was not something I could deal with mentally lol
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Go-to for Stroller system/travel system? [BC] ->We got the Nuna Mixx because when I was pregnant we kept seeing people with it in the neighborhood and shopping malls and figured that’s the most popular one. I’ve been enjoying it so far! I take daily walks with my baby and it feels sturdy and smooth even on gravel. It folds easily too and I can do it with my carpal tunnel hands without my husband’s help. We tried Silver Cross Reef 2 at the mall too but that one felt a tad heavier and only comes in a weird maroon color lol
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->We have the Nuna Mixx stroller and car seat, and I absolutely love them. It’s definitely an investment, but I think it’s worth it. But it’s also subjective and depends on what you prioritize in a stroller. For me, the cheaper brands like Graco and Chicco felt flimsy with low-quality plastic and subpar wheels. The Nuna Mixx, while still a bit big, is relatively lightweight and has excellent build quality. It also offers smooth ride even on rougher terrain. I couldn’t be happier with it!
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->It’s a smoother ride and the stroller seems to be built to last. I love my Nuna I have the trvl and the mixx next it’s great. If it’s in your budget then buy it and if it’s not then don’t. It’s really not that big of a deal. I think part of it is like anything you buy has to do with the brand. The reason why everything I have is Nuna is because we didn’t want to put extra adapters on everything. But if I have another baby I’ll go with something more lux like the silver cross.
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->i went to nordstrom and tested them all out. they had a lot of strollers on display. there's also a babylist showroom in beverly hills, so i popped in there to check out basically everything else. everyone i know RAVED about the uppababy vista, but i absolutely hated it when i tried it out in store (and i kept coming back to it and trying to "get it" and just couldn't!). everyone also told me how great the doona was, but i also hated that because it's super short and i'm tall. i ended up with nuna mixx next + nuna pipa carseat and have no complaints so far!
r/BabyBumps • How did you choose a stroller and car seat? ->Hey there, my vote is for the Minu, if youre doing a lot of walking I also think you should get the bassinet from birth kit. You can carry baby up and down the stairs in the bassinet with the stroller on your shoulder using the arm strap. More time in a bassinet instead of a car seat the better! lets then move and kick and sleep… my LO falls asleep on a walk and I can carry him in and plop him down to continue sleeping… it also gives him ou a travel nap space for when you’re out at a park or someone’s house. I currently have a used nina mixx with the bassinet(, bought the minu because frankly in the urban, walking everywhere, taking public transit… the full eized strollers are too big
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller recommendation for a petite FTM due in the fall [ON] ->Like someone else said, if you want something that lasts until toddler age, it will be a convertible seat not an infant seat. I’m not a fan of infant seats so we’re going straight to a convertible and getting a stroller with a bassinet mode. Nuna is great, just pricy. I am a big fan but do agree with the other commenter that I need two hands to collapse. The mockingbird is also pretty nice - plenty configurations and compatible with a lot of car seats. I can fold it with one hand and i think it pushes well. If you’re planning on having more kids it’s nice with the ability to add a second seat or have one bassinet and one toddler seat at once.
r/BabyBumps • stroller + car seat recs? esp. Nuna or Doona - FTM feeling overwhelmed ->just spent a month researching. my takeaway: Nuna - loved this one the most (mixx or trvl xl) but all of the carseats/accesories make it extra pricey. my fav uber premium option uppababy- i found these all to be kind of rigid and too large. didn't like the vibe but its obvs popular mockingbird - decided on this one and so far love the balance of quality and price point. truly feels strong but also premium, while not being huge, and almost all the features feel obvious instead of buried silver cross - if you really want to go with the most premium it is indeed very nice. graco Modes nest - solid budget option. felt a little on the light/fragile side for me but if lightweight with versatility is important, this one isn't bad at all bugaboo - maybe the one i tried was a janky floor model but i didn't think it was smooth at all. nuna/mock crushed it
r/beyondthebump • Best stroller/travel system ->
