"As my husband has mobility issues how it collapses was really important"
"we love how small it folds up ... Folds up smaller than the Uppababy Vista"
"Yes it can fit in a sedan. The newer version of it is the Mixx Next and it's 6.5 inches shorter when folded than the original Mixx that I had."

"In our city, it was fabulous for walks to the park grocery store, coffee shops, etc. We had bumpy sidewalks and even cobblestones in places there, and the stroller handled it like a champ."
"It was instantly our favourite when we “test drove it” in store. ... really good wheels and suspension. ... We go for lots of trail walks and hikes, plus we live in a new subdivision with lots of construction and unfinished sidewalks/roads + the winter snow/salt. ... The wheels on the Nuna are not plastic, and feel much smoother and will hold up better than the less expensive contenders."
"The nuna has great suspension - it’s our daily driver."

"I’ve checked my Mixx Next at least 40 times and it’s been fine. ... I’ve gate checked my mixx literally 40 times and it’s fine. ... they really are built like tanks. No sense in babying them."
"I used it daily, every day to walk my 6 year old to and from the bus stop. As well as daily walks for over 3 years"

"The Mixx stroller has a flat recline and can be used from newborn without the use of a bassinet. ... The bottom leg/foot rest comes up and snaps along the side to create a bassinet like closed end."

"When I was done with it I was able to quickly sell it and got $550 back. ... 3 years of everyday use and I was able to sell my Mixx stroller for over $500 when I was done with it."
"The benefit we see in the Nuna is that it has a great resale value on Facebook in our area. ... We figured if we end up needing a double in the future, we can potentially sell this one and get a different one."

"That's fine if you're only ever using it for around the neighborhood, but if you plan to bring your stroller in the car with you (or god forbid take it up and down stairs) it's a pain."

Are you me??? Im dying withoununa aire rx rn!! I am 5’5 and my husband is over a foot taller than me. We are going with the silver cross reef 2, bugaboo butterfly and nuna aire rx. The silver cross is soooo smooth and lux, it will last forever but it can be heavy (I plan on removing the seat from the frame when I put it in the car). We got the bundle with the bassinet attachment that’s safe for sleep for around $1,500. Then we got the bugaboo butterfly ($450) for travel, but that’s for when babe is around 6 months old. It’s super light weight and has a tall back, which is good if you end up with a taller kiddo. Picked the nuna aire rx ($600) because it’s so light weight, I like the features and materials. I found a lot of the cheaper options fall apart quickly and don’t seem comfy at all, but obviously every baby is different. There is no wrong option, everything does the same thing and goes through the same safety inspections
I snagged a pippa, mixx stroller and bassinet secondhand for under $300! Car seat was from a friend and I knew it hadn’t been in any accidents. I’m very excited to have this set!
It’s definitely off label use (lol) but I use my Nuna pipa Aire RX with the joie nutmeg. It clicks in decently well, kind of sticks when pulling car seat off but that doesn’t bother me. It feels very secure. Nuna is the luxury version of joie, both produced by the same parent company. The Joie Nutmeg is compatible with the Joie Mint so it should work for the Nuna URBN as well 😉
As a note, I’ve checked my Mixx Next at least 40 times and it’s been fine. I’ve also taken the stroller on hiking trails. The only thing that has stopped it is sand.
I’ve gate checked my mixx literally 40 times and it’s fine. It’s also great to haul all of your airport crap. I travel extensively and the travel system comes with and it’s not an issue.
I’ve always gate-checked it folded up. I do use a bag when I check my car seat though.
We tested them all out this weekend and went with the swiv! Essentially paying for the triv but with 360 wheels which will be good for us in a city and tight spaces (plus comes with a few extra accessories). It felt much lighter and less bulky than the Mixx to us and we both have sedans so we needed something that I can easily pop into our trunks. We were also thinking of my mom who will watch baby and what she’d be able to easily lift and use.
We LOVE the Nuna mix, but it is kind of heavy to fold and carry. You can fold it and pull it on its back wheels, if you’re in an apartment vs loading into a car trunk. I wish we’d gotten the triv for lightness and an easier fold, but I’d compare the thickness of padding between the seats as maybe there is a difference between travel stroller and full size. From a glance, it didn’t seem like it to me! The thing about travel strollers you have to watch out for is that most come with a tiny back wheel, thin padding, and are shorter. The padding matters for baby’s comfort, and the wheel size and height really make a difference on your arms getting fatigued when you push, or going over curbs and bumps.
Nuna Mixx Next. Has a Nuna car seat adapter for infants. (Don’t bother buying a bassinet, you’ll need it for like no time at all.) Holds kids up to 50lbs (we still use it occasionally and my son is 3). Folds up smaller than the Uppababy Vista. Cons: it’s heavy (almost 30 lbs) but I mean it’s a full size stroller. We have 7 stairs so we make it work. It also doesn’t convert for two kids like the Vista does, but we’re one and done so that works for us. It also doesn’t have a child cup or snack holder like the Vista does. BUT the suspension is killer, we love how small it folds up, and it’s held up great with pretty rough use for three years now.
Depends how your going to be using your stroller. If your going to be walking/jogging down that dirt road regularly or be in rural areas a lot, your gonna want some sort of jogger stroller or something with inflatable wheels. If your going to keep it in your vehicle and use it for when your going shopping in the city, going out to eat, and use it for an urban sort of lifestyle, with tad bits of times you walk the stroller on gravel, grass, etc, maybe a good all terrain full stroller with good suspension like Uppababy Cruz, Nuna Mixx Next, Bugaboo Fox 5. If you want something more budget friendly in this category maybe the Chicco Corso or Bravo stroller,Graco Modes Nest 2 grow. Jogger strollers include BabyJogger city mini gt, Thule Urban Glide, Guava Roam, Uppababy Ridge, etc. A carseat is 100% necessary, so no matter what, that should be the 1st thing you look at. Find 1 you like, then look at what strollers its compatible with (usually you might have to buy a separate adapter if you use a different brand of carseat from the stroller). You can always look at what strollers already come as part of a bundled travel system with that carseat. But before you even get started looking at carseats, you need to make a decision ifbyour going to use an Infant Carseat (pill bug looking seats), or a convertible carseat (the big ones that stay in a vehicle), or both.
I went to Nordstrom and tried them all. I got nuna mixx next and nuna pippa car seat with the stabilizer leg it was so easy to fold the stroller and lift it into the car. Car seat you don’t have to have the base you can strap the seatbelt through the back loop. It’s idiot proof but doesn’t go on sale. Great engineering and shocks same with cybex. Uppa baby 2 was flimsy
What you are planning and what your baby wants is completely different. We got the Nuna Mixx and it felt like a waste initially cause we were always pushing an empty stroller around with her worn on me. We live in a neighborhood with rough terrain so wanted one with big wheels and suspensions. At one year old she finally could sit for 10 minutes in the stroller without fussing. Then we caved and bought a second travel stroller because our primary one was heavy and massive and felt too big for trips to the mall/grocery. And proceeded to purchase a third Thule chariot for bike trips. It really depends on your lifestyle, but if your aren’t planning on daily long stroller walks, you could probably swing babywearing for the first couple of months.
