I think the biggest conflict you’re going to need to rectify on your list of wants would be the all terrain aspect & lightweight requirement. Typically for lighter weight models the first thing to go are the larger wheels/more substantial undercarriage. We almost settled on two- the nuna swiv & then a yoyo (or an equivalent), but when nuna released the flex system that was light enough with all the bells and whistles to cover our needs. Have you tested any out in person?
I also didn't like the Uppababy. The Nuna urbn and Pipa stroller were amazing for travel. Super light stroller and the car seat is easy to click into any car. If you travel at all or take Ubers that car seat is a huge time saver.
Joolz aer 2 and Nuna pipa URBN are what I’m doing for my nyc baby. This combo is most versatile for travel etc.
Doona’a are very heavy. I recommended Nuna Urbn with Trvl stroller combo. Lightweight, safe and sturdy.
I don't get the UppaBaby hype. I think its an ugly stroller and you need a special pillow attachment just to use it for a young infant or the bassinet attachment, which all costs extra ontop of an already expensive stroller. The car seat is super heavy and not great either I hear. I did buy a similar top of the line/expensive travel system but loved it and thought it was well worth it. No need to spend extra for a infant pillow. It can be used from a newborn and the car seat is super nice and one of the lightest seats on the market. Highly recommend any of the Nuna travel systems. We had the Pipa and Mixx stroller.
I’m due in July and plan to travel and spend time in both urban and suburban environments. I also have a compact car. I got the Nuna TRVL lx and pipa urbn, both great for travel. The only considerations are that the stroller doesn’t have a bassinet attachment and a parent facing option. Not a huge deal for me initially but I had an insomnia / pre tariff price increase freak out purchase where I also ended up buying a full size stroller, Cybex Balios S Lux 2 Stroller + Cot S Lux 2 Bundle, from Albee baby which was heavily discounted because the color way was discontinued. So now I have two 😅 but no regrets!
The Nuna Pipa Urbn is great but it is an infant seat that your baby could potentially be grown out of before they reach 6 months. I have it and love that I can move it between cars but my little one is 5 months and definitely doesn’t fit in it now so we’re having to get a convertible seat.
It only goes up to 28lbs or 23 inches height (something along those lines), whichever comes first - it’s on the Nuna website. It’s handy for a while but ultimately you’ll need a convertible seat at some point around 5-6 months, depending on how quickly your LO grows.
We use a Bugaboo Butterfly and Nuna Urban. Great for short walks and we took it on a 20 hour flight across the world. It's great if you have one kid and plan to travel. We might get more of an SUV stroller in the future when we need to take all the toys to the park. We also live in a small apartment so space matters.
Another vote for the Nuna, amazing pram
