We also have the Nuna Mixx and love it. We did the travel system with the Pipa car seat and it was so convenient. We now use a Bugaboo Butterfly for most errands/traveling since it’s smaller and easier to manoeuvre, but its wheels aren’t as sturdy as the Mixx.

We have the Nuna Mixx travel system with the Pipa car seat and base and our 4 yo still fits fine in it. We're having a boy soon and will use the same system as it's still holding up very well after all this time. It's great quality. Pricey for sure but very well made. We bought it new for around 700usd (stroller + car seat + car seat base) during a Nordstrom black Friday Sale.

We got a Nuna Mixx travel system for our eldest, and he was using it until he was about 2.5yo, when we switched him to an umbrella stroller - partly because the Nuna felt perhaps a bit big for everyday use at that point, but also because we were expecting another baby and wanted to separate him from the pram before baby started using it. We love the Mixx and it's just as good second time around. I always get comments on the fancy features like the dream drape and the pockets everywhere, they are very handy to have. Also the basket is huge! While still using the Nuna, we bought a secondhand Joie Tourist for holidays, as it's very lightweight, folds to cabin size and was cheap enough that it didn't matter too much if an airline damaged it if it did have to go in the hold. That worked for us until about age 2, then he was too heavy for it (15kg limit, and we have a heavy boy!). For the umbrella stroller, we got a Silver Cross Zest and that's pretty good for nipping about, although the basket is absolutely useless, it's so small. We didn't use it for very long but it helped for longer days out, and for weekends away/holidays after he'd outgrown the Joie, although umbrella fold does have to go in the flight hold by default. This one goes up to 22kg (as does the Nuna) so more longevity. I panicked when baby #2 arrived that my eldest might still want to use a buggy, as he seemed too tired to use the buggy board for longer periods, so I panic-purchased a secondhand Bugaboo Donkey. While I have not used this as much as I thought, it is a very good pram overall and might be a good choice if you think you will have two kids, as it can be used as a single with a side basket, or with the frame extended to become a twin pram that holds 22kg per seat. It's very clever! Overall the Nuna is my MVP and I would definitely recommend it.

We got the nuna mixx next travel system with the adapter to put the buns pipa aire infant car seat on. Chose it because of the all terrain option and the fact it can lay flat and should last for quite a while. Easy to fold down and we’ve gone walking with it around the neighborhood with our dogs to get them used to it and it’s really smooth! Rolled over grass just fine too. We watched sooo many YouTube videos and such before we chose.

Loved my Nuna Pipa and Nuna MIXX travel system. I really don't like jogging strollers and loved the ability to turn the seat towards us and take the seat off all together so it's just the frame to snap the car seat into.

Yes it can fit in a sedan. The newer version of it is the Mixx Next and it's 6.5 inches shorter when folded than the original Mixx that I had.

I don't get the UppaBaby hype. I think its an ugly stroller and you need a special pillow attachment just to use it for a young infant or the bassinet attachment, which all costs extra ontop of an already expensive stroller. The car seat is super heavy and not great either I hear. I did buy a similar top of the line/expensive travel system but loved it and thought it was well worth it. No need to spend extra for a infant pillow. It can be used from a newborn and the car seat is super nice and one of the lightest seats on the market. Highly recommend any of the Nuna travel systems. We had the Pipa and Mixx stroller.

r/pregnantWhat Travel Stroller system did you go with?

Yes, the quality really is far better. >or the nuna(Doona?) with wheels to go directly from car to stroll. Doona. Which I think is a waste of money. Babies aren't supposed to stay in car seats that long. >Some strollers have dozens of interesting attachments that all cost an extra $50-100 or more a piece. My Nuna didn't have any extra attachments or need them. No attachments needed to use from birth. That sounds like the popular UppaBaby, which I personally have never seen the hype over. I think they're ugly and yes it's ridiculous how expensive all the attachments are. I bought my Nuna Mixx on sale for just over $1000. I used it daily, every day to walk my 6 year old to and from the bus stop. As well as daily walks for over 3 years, it had great suspension and a huge bottom for storage. It came with a carseat adapter, so we could remove the stroller seat and just pop on the infant seat for quick grocery shopping or doctor office trips or any other quick trip where they didnt need to be in the carseat long. When I was done with it I was able to quickly sell it and got $550 back. The infant seat was $450 and I sold it for $250 when done with it. It's one of the lightest carseats on the market, the dream drape feature made it worth every penny. I got a huge chunk of my money back. My kids have a 6 year gap between them. The Nuna Mixx I had with my almost 6 year old is still one of the top rated and most recommended strollers and so is the carseat. I'm a SAHM, I'm not rich. I 100% feel that they are completely worth it. It's one of the few things I think its worth splurging on. The money I got back after selling my Nuna stuff is more than most people even pay for their travel systems all together.

r/MommitHelp - stroller/travel system options that grow with the baby? Do I really need an expensive one?

You don't need an expensive one. I do love my Nuna Mixx Next though. They have smaller more compact ones. It's definitely a luxury high end brand. Pretty sure I have the exact same stroller as Henry Cavill got for his baby ( I had mine first). It's fantastic quality and they have a high resale value. I had the older model of the Nuna Mixx for my now 6 year old when he was a baby and used it daily for 3 years then was able to sell it for over $500 so I got a good chunk of money back.

I have a Nuna mixx. I got it used and bought a bassinet for it. Absolutely phenomenal when she was tiny. The bassinet was the greatest thing. Now I use an Ergo baby Metro plus travel stroller. We got it for our trip but I love it so much it's now my day to day stroller.

I have the ergobaby Metro plus and I have completely stopped using my nuna. It's amazing. Folds up so compact, lays flat, sturdy. We took it to Ireland a few months ago and it was amazing for our trip. Only downside is that the basket is pretty small.

r/BuyingforbabyDo I really need a travel stroller? Or would you gate check your Nuna Mixx Next?

As a note, I’ve checked my Mixx Next at least 40 times and it’s been fine. I’ve also taken the stroller on hiking trails. The only thing that has stopped it is sand.

I’ve gate checked my mixx literally 40 times and it’s fine. It’s also great to haul all of your airport crap. I travel extensively and the travel system comes with and it’s not an issue.

I’ve always gate-checked it folded up. I do use a bag when I check my car seat though.

We tested them all out this weekend and went with the swiv! Essentially paying for the triv but with 360 wheels which will be good for us in a city and tight spaces (plus comes with a few extra accessories). It felt much lighter and less bulky than the Mixx to us and we both have sedans so we needed something that I can easily pop into our trunks. We were also thinking of my mom who will watch baby and what she’d be able to easily lift and use.

r/BabyBumpsRecommendations for a lie-flat infant stroller?

We LOVE the Nuna mix, but it is kind of heavy to fold and carry. You can fold it and pull it on its back wheels, if you’re in an apartment vs loading into a car trunk. I wish we’d gotten the triv for lightness and an easier fold, but I’d compare the thickness of padding between the seats as maybe there is a difference between travel stroller and full size. From a glance, it didn’t seem like it to me! The thing about travel strollers you have to watch out for is that most come with a tiny back wheel, thin padding, and are shorter. The padding matters for baby’s comfort, and the wheel size and height really make a difference on your arms getting fatigued when you push, or going over curbs and bumps.

Nuna Mixx Next. Has a Nuna car seat adapter for infants. (Don’t bother buying a bassinet, you’ll need it for like no time at all.) Holds kids up to 50lbs (we still use it occasionally and my son is 3). Folds up smaller than the Uppababy Vista. Cons: it’s heavy (almost 30 lbs) but I mean it’s a full size stroller. We have 7 stairs so we make it work. It also doesn’t convert for two kids like the Vista does, but we’re one and done so that works for us. It also doesn’t have a child cup or snack holder like the Vista does. BUT the suspension is killer, we love how small it folds up, and it’s held up great with pretty rough use for three years now.
