Absolutely what we did. Found a faded and worn Nuna Tavo for $80, spent some time cleaning it thoroughly, and gate checked it in a $20 bag from Amazon without worry about our nice stroller getting banged up.
r/Buyingforbaby • Do I really need a travel stroller? Or would you gate check your Nuna Mixx Next? ->I went with the nuna tavo because I’m not really worried about the weight and it’s very all in one. If you’re looking for something small and light it’s definitely not the move but I love being able to either pop her car seat on for quick trips or lie it flat in bassinet mode for longer strolls. It also steers beautifully and has a nice sized basket and lots of ventilation. It’s pretty sizable but it does everything I need it to!
r/moderatelygranolamoms • Moms, what attracted you to buy that stroller? ->Also QC. We have the Nuna Pipa/ Tavo travel system and it works pretty well in the snow and has suspension. The stroller folds super well too.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [qc] travel systems/strollers capatable with Canadian winters? ->We have a Cybex Gazelle because we know we want a second!! I did a lot of research comparing strollers and I feel that Cybex Gazelle is the best single-to-double for our needs. We also bought a Nuna Tavo for travel from Facebook Marketplace for $150, which his car seat can snap into, and we take it to the airport with us and gate check it. We’re not super concerned about it because it was used, but it’s a great stroller!
r/NewParents • Strollers ->I also had my eyes set on vista v3 but when we actually checked it out at snugglebugz we found it was very heavy. We went with a Nuna Tavo which was lightweight and folded easily. Though I would not recommend the Tavo for anything other than city roads
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller Recommendations [on] ->I referred to this comparison chart before buying. https://usasupport.nunababy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360056628792-Nuna-Stroller-Comparison I also watched lots of reviews on YouTube, they are super helpful! Keep in mind that due to getting hot and lack of recline the newborn shouldn't stay in car seat for more than 2 hours (you either use the bassinet or you buckle the baby in the stroller seat in flat position). As someone mentioned, tavo does not support the bassinet. Also, I dont know if its a big matter, but the size of wheels might be important because strollers with smaller wheels (like Tavo model) are very challenging on any terrain other than smooth asphalt/concrete. Chosing a stroller is very hard if you dont get to see them all in person, but i hope you and your baby are happy with your final decision.
r/Buyingforbaby • Alright, what's the catch.... ->The seat doesn’t come off or rotate to parent-facing, and the front wheels I believe were plastic instead of rubber (not sure if they still are). Parent-facing is really about personal preference… I liked it but it’s not a must have. Sometimes I wished I had a stroller like this where I could have both the seat and the car seat at the same time (for the extra canopy coverage and convenience of not having to carry the stroller seat separately). I would say also look at the Nuna TRVL LX if you’re interested in the Tavo!
r/Buyingforbaby • Alright, what's the catch.... ->I am in the desert and got the Nuna Tavo Next in green ( didn’t want black because of the heat) It has an awesome sun shade there is a zipper so you can extend it. With it extended it covers everything but feet. Also has a bassinet mode for when they are small. The only thing I don’t like is it don’t have a built in cup holder.
r/pregnant • Can somebody just tell me what freaking stroller to buy ->I definitely enjoy my evenflo swivel 360. However, I do think it's beneficial to start with an infant car seat because if you get a baseless one, the child can be transferred from one car to another without hassle for those first couple months while you figure how life is without a baby. You can take them inside the house in the car seat if they're asleep without waking them-but for safety don't leave them in the car seat sleeping unsupervised. If you're thrifty, you can buy a stroller that's compatible with your stroller second hand. I personally chose the Nuna PIPA infant car seat and TAVO stroller combo which is about $700 right now. The pipa light was super light and easier to carry cuz I have short trex arms. The TAVO stroller can definitely be used after transitioning out the infant car seat. Used it for two rounds of kiddos as well! Good luck and congrats
r/BabyBumps • Tell me what freaking diaper bag, car seat and stroller to buy. My brain is melting. ->I originally bought the Nuna Tavo and I hated it. I ended up buying the Uppababy Cruz v2 and also hated that one lol. In the end, I bought the one I wanted all along but always thought was too expensive - the nuna mixx. I love the Mixx so if you have any questions, happy to answer them! I would get something that is: 1. Has the ability to be parent facing 2. Has a easy / not irritating fold 3. Can lie back all the way for a newborn 4. Fits in your trunk 5. Has a capsule adapter so if bub is sleeping, you can take off the seat and snap in the seat It’s worth it to buy the stroller that you want as you’ll use it a lot. I use my stroller everyday and don’t regret paying $865 with tax for my stroller.
r/NewParents • Strollers - what did you wish you knew before you bought? ->We’ve brought our nuna tavo to Italy 4+ times and that brand can take a beating! It’s done great and even been great napping while going over all cobblestone and everything. We almost bought the TRVL in Italy because we loved it so much and the Tavo takes up so.much.space. We’ve also take. The GB Pocket+ and its great as well I’m just not a super fan of the way babies sit in it and it takes two hands. I would not not not take a doona to Italy. Did you book your baby a seat? We are going in a month and he’s on our lap(also will be 10mo!) I’m bringing: -Konny wrap -wild bird carrier - nuna tavo or TRVL -renting car seat*** ***we have a nuna pippa in Italy that was lost luggage and has been found and we can go claim 😝
r/Mommit • Should we bring our main stroller to Italy? ->I have the Nuna Tavo Next with pipa rx travel system and love it! It seems like unfortunately there’s been a price increase recently though. I would still buy it again.
r/BabyBumps • Where to start with strollers and why is it so confusing! ->I have the Nuna tavo travel system, it came bundled with the Nuna pipa urbn car seat, I LOVE it. The stroller converts to a bassinet on its own with no extra attachments, and the car seat sits right in with no attachments either. I have a small car and the stroller and car seat fit in perfectly! I couldn’t recommend it enough, it’s my fav gift I got at my baby shower
