r/BabyBumpsWhich stroller do you use and why?

Our primary stroller is a peg perego selfie. Primary decision factor is that it can be folded with one hand/in a single motion. It doesn't weight much and is compact, yet it's not super rickety like most other travel strollers. I find it offensive how much space most strollers take up even when they're folded, and also how many steps there are to disconnect and fold everything. If something is going to cost $1000+, it better be made of carbon fiber, weigh nothing, and fold up to nothing at the press of a button.

Peg perego selfie? It lays flat, and the foot rest folds up to also be flat. The maximum incline is like a 45 degree angle though. Which for a baby sounds like what you want, but for a toddler mine likes to sit a lot more forward. The mechanism to change the angle is a drawstring/slide thing so you can have it anywhere between flat and 45 degrees.

Where will you stow your stroller with the truck? Throw it in the bed and hope it's not raining? Also you will hate constantly having to lift things up. IMO a smaller car with kids seems counterintuitive, but it's just so much easier to get in and out of.

Diaper bag? Doesn't matter. Get one that's fabric instead of pleather because it'll be washable. I have a skip hop one and it's fine. car seat/car: We thought we'd need a big family car for a baby, so we got a porsche cayenne. It's not practical though. It's too high up, hoisting carseats and baby up all the time isn't fun. It's wide so all parking spaces seem too small and it's often hard to open the door all the way without touching the neighboring car. So IMO you want a sedan or station wagon, not a truck, not an SUV. I "downgraded" to a subaru legacy and even though it's not as "nice" as a porsche, it's more practical and comfortable. Stroller: You want something that folds and stows as easily as possible. We got 2 strollers, assuming the big heavy tank of a stroller would be our main (stokke), and then an auxiliary lightweight foldable travel stroller to have in the trunk of the car (peg perego selfie). And well..... the lightweight one gets used so much more. The big one is such a hassle to fold, transport, and assemble so it only ever gets used if we go for a walk around the neighborhood. But the travel one gets used daily, in and out of the trunk of the car no problem.

Currently have 3: * peg perego selfie. We bought this. We like it, except the basket underneath is annoying and hard to get things in and out of, but otherwise this stroller is perfect. Even in snow despite just having dinky compact wheels. * Stokke xplory. Given to us. Hate it, too big, too hard to disassemble. it sits on our porch and collects dusts because it's too difficult to use for anything beyond walking around the neighborhood * mountain buggy nano. Given to us. Meh. Dont love it, but also don't hate it. Too hard to fold (needs 2 hands), doesn't steer as smoothly as the other strollers, but reasonably sized so we have it in my husbands car ad use it occasionally.
