We love our Peg Perego Ypsi system, though we never bought the bassinet and never missed it (we happily used the car seat instead, even in our very walkable city). But they have a bassinet you can buy. It’s about the size of an Uppababy Cruz, but can convert to a double stroller like a Vista; has a roomy basket; can face the seat forward or backward; has a one-handed fold that I preferred over Uppababy (no stupid button in the middle of the handlebar). Not sure where that falls in your budget, but very nice craftsmanship and has lasted well through two kids’ worth of abuse and daily constant use.

We were going to get the uppababy because all our friends recommended it. My mother in law wanted to buy something for the baby and went off the store recommendation of the ypsi travel system. The car seat is fine and all but the stroller is not great. The main benefit of the stroller is extra carry space, and on the ypsi it’s so annoying to access would not recommend. All her daycare friends had uppababy’s and the storage space seemed way easier to use.

Peg Perego YPSI or z4 might work as a full size stroller but they sell a nice travel bag for it. You can get a ride along board (you can also make it a double but that doesn’t really sound worth getting the extra seat for your trip). It’s good on different terrains. Alternatively could you just bring a stroller for one and baby wear the 1 year old when the older child wants to ride? It doesn’t seem like she would want to be in it a lot of the time. Something more compact that might work well is the ergo baby metro or the joie nutmeg. (Or maybe 2 of these?) Bump rider does make one that can be used as two separate singles and connected into a double but the wheels don’t look like they’d be great for cobblestone.

Nuna pipa rx for car seat (it seemed to be the best combination of safe but not super heavy). and agio z4 stroller (it’s similar to uppa baby but lighter and has better configuration options and made in Italy). The wheels are big enough to handle most terrain pretty well and you can get off road wheels to swap out too (we never did this just would baby wear if we really went rogue haha) The stroller extends quite a bit but you can also get extra handlebar extenders for really tall people. There’s a converter that allows the car seat to work with the stroller but mainly used the bassinet since it’s safer for long walks. The peg Perego car seat is really safe and would work without a converter but seemed really heavy. The peg Perego YPSI stroller is the same with different finishes but a bit cheaper and easier to find on sale. My second choice would be the bugaboo fox (or maybe now the kangaroo) but it didn’t seem to fold as nicely for the car.

I had my baby last January, and honestly didn’t use a stroller until it got warm out. I just got an extender for my coat so I could babywear. It’s way easier to dress a newborn for the cold when they are under your coat. I have the YPSI travel system (with cybex aton 2 car seat) and barely used the travel system part. Stroller itself is good but I wish it was more compact.

I thought I was hardcore with my three strollers 😂 I have a Bugaboo Bee 6, a Peg Perego Ypsi Agio Z4, and a cheap three wheel Walmart one for taking him in the field (we walk the dogs on 100 acres). I got the Peg Perego used and the Bee on sale. The Peg Perego is my fave tho, so easy to fold and pushes very nicely. I love pushing that thing around the mall

My suggestion if you can is go to a store and try them out. My partner and I were pretty set on a cybex travel system but on trying them out we ended up with a per perego as the fold mechanism and swapping components was more intuitive for us. We also got the isofix base for each car we have and once baby has outgrown the car seat we can just but the next seat without the base that is suitable for bigger children.
