I just bought the peg Perego ypsi travel system. Compared to most on the market it’s super light, moves well and has so many cool new features with the 2025 that some other strollers don’t have. It’s fairly priced for what you get compared to the uppababy or nuna & it’s the lightest single to double on the market so if you plan on having more than one kid it’s the best double stroller!!
The peg Perego (ypsi or z4) in my experience is the lightest single to double option but it’s nowhere near as light as a true travel stroller. No issues gate checking it though, and it’s much lighter than vista or cybex ones. it is pricey so definitely get a protective bag. The bassinet on it is super nice and safe for overnight sleep. Depending how old your older one is, you may be able to add a rider board to your current stroller instead which would be lighter.
Some options that may work based on what you like - Peg Perego makes a stroller similar to the vista but it’s lighter and folds more compact. We have the Z4 which is about the price as the vista but the YPSI is the same structure (just different fabrics) and cheaper. We tested this and the vista and liked this one a lot better. You can get adapters for various car seats and the bassinet is really nice. - joie is a sister company to Nuna and is really good quality for the price, they have a few similar in size to the triv but I think the Kava is most similar. The joie car seats are compatible and good quality. I think there are adapters where you can use UB bassinet with it. Or the ginger has a built in bassinet. - a lot of people really like the mockingbird stroller which is set up similar to the vista and much cheaper and works with various car seats. - with the popularity of the vista, you can likely find that and the bassinet secondhand (get car seat new) - you don’t have to get the uppababy car seat (their car seats actually aren’t that great) you can get a cheaper car seat like a Chicco with adapters - check discount sites like rebel stork and goodbuy gear you often can get a good discount on a new but open box model
We have the peg perego ypsi system …I love it.
My suggestion if you can is go to a store and try them out. My partner and I were pretty set on a cybex travel system but on trying them out we ended up with a per perego as the fold mechanism and swapping components was more intuitive for us. We also got the isofix base for each car we have and once baby has outgrown the car seat we can just but the next seat without the base that is suitable for bigger children.
