"We LOVE our Cruz and it’s on kid #2 and cruising along with zero visible wear & tear. ... it just goes and goes, kid #2 and there‘s no wear and tear!"
"Nah, uppababy cruz is perfect. We have the V2 and travel the world with it as well, with 3 kids now and the skateboard. The first one started having issues from overuse so we bought a 2nd hand one as well."
"We lived in the city with our first and I used our stroller (Cruz V2) daily for 4-6km walks, rain, sun or snow. ... our stroller looks pretty much brand new after 3 yrs of use."

"We are suburban, but walk frequently and find that the basket is a game changer. ... if we walk to the farmer’s market I can load that up with produce etc. ... I also take the stroller grocery shopping and can fit a hand cart underneath to keep the stroller clean from leaks or spills. ... I’ve literally done BJ’s trips with only the stroller and fit everything we needed under there!"
"the basket is FREAKING GREAT. I’ve really put it to the test with weight capacity. ... it’s a bus that I can put more shit in"
"it fits a TON of stuff in the bottom basket."

"It was so helpful in the winter when we had to navigate some rough icy terrain."
"we flew to Portugal and took the Cruz over those insane cobbled streets, up and down stairs, everywhere! It handled like a champ and doesn’t show any sign of the abuse."
"If we're walking where there are dirt paths etc the Cruz pushes so much nicer."

"I can't imagine living without the ability to put the bucket seat into the stroller frame. ... I don't use it for walks but to whip into the grocery store it's so much better especially if he's sleeping."
"knowing we can use the bassinet and car seat (maxi-cosi) with every stroller is amazing"
"I leave him in the car seat for that since I know he'll be coming out of it when we get there but love being able to push him those few blocks instead of carrying him or the bucket seat. ... I have also put the carseat in the frame to take him into appointments where I just don't feel like carrying the seat on its own (can be awkward and heavy)."

"Now with a newborn and a 3 year old, we bought the piggyback attachment for our 3 year old to hop on and get a ride, she loves it. ... The piggyback attachment made it so we didn’t need a double stroller."
"the Cruz can still be used with two kids assuming the first kid is big enough to stand on the boogie board/standing attachment"

"we ditched the Uppa Cruz early and went to the Stokke (then Babyzen) YoYo. ... The small size and foldability is absolutely life altering. ... Do not underestimate the ability to fold up the stroller into a tiny package (like the Uppa Minu or YoYo). It is so important when you start going to restraunts and things like that."
"Big, bulky, and a pain to fold/store."

r/NewParents • Product Regrets: 3mos in! ->We've got the Cruz V2 and love it. We only have 1 stroller. We used it at Disney World and Universal, it was great for mid-afternoon naps. We got an infant car seat used from my sister after our niece got upgraded to a convertible car seat, so we bought the adapter for the stroller. Worked great!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Go-to for Stroller system/travel system? [BC] ->The Cruz V2 is a bit more affordable than the Vista V3. It's the one we've got and it's great! Handles like a dream. One of my sisters has a Graco and the other an Evenflo and they complain so much about them, especially after trying out mine. But they're also in the state of mind that they don't want to buy ANOTHER stroller when technically they've got a decent one already. Get the one that you want, that you can afford, for the lifestyle you want to have with baby. If you're not going to use it a whole lot, a more affordable option or more travel friendly option would be great! If you're going to walk up to a grocery store and want a basket that can hold 50lbs, get the Uppababy.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [On] UppaBaby Vista 3 vs. Evenflo Pivot / Graco ->Seconding not getting the bassinet new! There are a million on fb marketplace for like $50. My baby hated it and we used it three times. Also have the UB Cruz V2 and it’s good for city living imo
r/BabyBumpsCanada • BEST STROLLER/BASSINET/CARSEAT COMBO FOR 1st TIME MOM IN TORONTO? [on] ->Second hand is the way to go. Also, you’re going to use the travel stroller 99% of the time if you live in a city. Full sized strollers are just too hard to navigate. I bought a UB Cruz and a Minu and the Minu is always our go-to.
r/NewParents • Strollers - what did you wish you knew before you bought? ->It’s my time to shine. I have spent an enormous amount of time researching strollers. I walk a lot with my baby, and we are out and about everyday. I have bought and sold several, and my final conclusion is: there is no such thing as the perfect stroller. There isn’t one stroller that does everything. What has worked for us is having one workhorse of a stroller for around the neighbourhood, and a lighter one for keeping in the car. Here are my recommendations: *Baby Jogger City Mini GT or GT2* This stroller is almost perfect for every situation. We were given a used GT and I love it so much. I bought a bassinet for it second hand, and bought the car seat adapter for our car seat. I took all of the fabric off of it so it was the the frame and it was so easy to transport in the car. It has big rubber wheels, so it’s great on gravel. There is one caveat: it does not do parent facing. My guy has outgrown the bassinet/car seat but is not quite ready for world facing. So the City Mini GT is now waiting for him to get a bit bigger. I can’t wait to use it again. If it had a reversible seat it would be the perfect stroller for every situation. *Uppababy Cruz V2* I bought a second hand one from marketplace to bridge the gap until he is world facing in the city mini. It’s a solid stroller, and easy to get in and out of the car. I don’t think it’s worth the price new, especially after using the City Mini. It doesn’t handle as well and the tires aren’t as beefy. I don’t love it on gravel, but it’s great for shopping and strolling around town. I also bought a second hand three-wheel Peg Pérego Book Scout to use as our neighbourhood workhorse until he’s ready for the City Mini again. It is a BEAST of a stroller and I love love love it EXCEPT the fold is huge and it’s heavy. So it stays at home. It handles like a dream and the tires are huge, plus it has a reversible seat. It’s at least 10 years old and I’m the third owner, so I can vouch for the quality of Peg Pérego products. Conclusions: Three-wheel strollers handle extremely well. I prefer them to four-wheel strollers. If you can find a three-wheel stroller with a reversible seat, that is your best option. There aren’t many out there. Strollers with reversible seats and beefy tires are bulky and heavy, so they are better for keeping at home. The City Mini is absolutely incredible and would be my choice except for the months in between the bassinet and world facing readiness.
r/NewParents • Best stroller? ->I had someone recommend 2 strollers and I thought they were out of their mind. I fought it and got the Nuna trvl and Pipa. I loved it. However, baby LOVED going on long walks. Not necessarily great in the Nuna combo, but now I know the new version (lx) flat. I still debate though because it’s not as smooth as a ride and truly designed for quick errands and airport travel (which it works great for). So at about 2 months I started looking for a bigger stroller because of the long walks. I went with the Cruz V2 and got the car seat attachment (through Nuna - NOT UB) for it. I thought, “wtf am I doing?! This is ridiculous!! I hate that I’m spending this money on this if we don’t use it that often.” This sucker is now my everyday. I really only use the Nuna when we travel for the weekends because we need more trunk space or airport travel. The UB is way sturdier, handles more of my day-to-day bs (I’m rough with stuff), steers nicely, isn’t too heavy (but does take up a considerable amount of space & some airlines do not allow you to gate check it), and the basket is FREAKING GREAT. I’ve really put it to the test with weight capacity. Moral of the story: my friend was right. If you can afford it, go for 2. One light for travel and one for everyday use. As for the car seat, having a true infant one has been great so I don’t wake up my LO when napping. For the most part, we don’t stop our days for napping. The LO is either strapped to us or in the car seat if we’re on the go. The infant seat allows our LO to continue sleeping without being disturbed. With that said, the LO is now getting heavier (7 months) and we just bought the chicco 360 zip. We’re excited to use it come August, maybe? I’m literally waiting until she reaches the height/weight limit of the Nuna Pipa before switching. That’s how much we like the convenience of the infant seat. Chicco usually has 20% off sales. I think they’re having one now for Father’s Day.
r/Buyingforbaby • Help! Drowning in a Car Seat and Sea of Strollers - Need a Lightweight Safe Travel System for a Newborn that they can grow into. ->Honestly, I had a friend sit me down because I had a similar wishlist and she told me sometimes it’s best to have 2 strollers - one for the quick trips (easy fold, pavement/sidewalks), and one for the longer trips (a little bigger, trails with grass/dirt/or minor roughness, etc.). I didn’t listen to her and went solely for the Nuna Trvl. I wish I did listen to her now that baby is here. I ended up buying myself (instead of putting it on my registry) the Uppababy Cruz V2. I love this stroller more than the Trvl. It handles more of my day-to-day bs and feels sturdier. It’s great in grass and for quick trips with the car seat attachment. If I was to do it differently, I’d either put both strollers on my registry or go with the Nuna Triv because it seems to be the middle between the two.
r/Buyingforbaby • Stroller help ->We have the Uppababy Cruz v2. I love it and think it's a perfect balance between lightweight enough for quick/casual outings but substantial enough for longer adventures. I'm sure there are lighter/smaller options but having used it for a while now, I would say that personally, the extra pound of weight is worth it for the in-between situations where a smaller stroller might mean I'd have to carry an extra bag, if that makes sense. The suspension and handling are great - noticeably better than the Chicco someone bought us without asking (lol). I can load it into the car one handed while carrying the baby if needed, but I usually just do it in a separate trip because why juggle 2 things at once if I don't have to (especially when one of them is a baby)? Imo that would hold true for any newborn-compatible stroller, not just the Uppababy. One thing to know, they say it's a one handed fold but you do need two hands to unlock it in order to fold it (the folding step is one handed). I initially thought that was inconvenient until someone pointed out it was probably a safety feature (harder to accidentally fold, e.g., while baby is still in it) which makes sense to me. I see secondhand ones listed on FB marketplace relatively frequently (we live in a major city), but we got ours from an "open box" sale so it was new but not full price.
r/NewParents • Best stroller? ->Since the v3 Cruz is coming out you may be able to get a deal on the v2. That happened with the vista v2 when they phased that out. Also if you buy new you get the extended warranty and I heard uppababy is good with that kind of stuff. I have the Cruz and so far it’s good. I do feel like the buckle is a little difficult at times and sometimes the brake sticks but overall it’s good. I live in the suburbs and haven’t really had to take it anywhere yet other than my neighborhood so I can’t provide insight on how it is to take it in and out of the car but the suspension is descent. My neighborhood is a lot of hills and it’s good for that. I also have a minu v3 but I haven’t used it yet. I bought that for travel when the time comes but that one has a decent size basket which is what appealed to me.
r/Buyingforbaby • Looking at all the stroller choices is making me want to pull my hair out! ->Lots of great strollers out there for all budgets, but if you don't really have a budget id say look at Uppababy, Nuna, bugaboo, and Silver Cross for anything involving strollers/ carseats. The nuna pipa RX is very very popular and seems to rank as 1 of the best for various reasons. Theres a few of different Pipa versions though, so be sure to look at Nunas website to look at differences. Other popular infant carseats besides Nuna consist of models from Uppababy, Chicco, cybex. I won't go into all of them here. Your going to have to jump down the rabbit hole lol Strollers all come down to what exactly you want out of your stroller. What terrain your in, suspension, wheels, ease of use, and of course adjustable handle bar. Many of the top brands already have most of these things so it's kinda hard to mess up. The differences are there, but aren't super big. It all comes down to nitpicking with stroller A being slightly better in suspension (or whatever your looking at) than Stroller B. However stroller B has a bigger under basket than Stroller A, etc etc etc. Definitely look at those brands i listed for strollers if your budget isn't much of an issue, and start comparing some models they show on the websites. Personally though my top 3 picks i had in mind after doing all my research was between Nuna Mixx Next, Uppababy Cruz v2, and the Silver Cross Reef. We ended up choosing the Mixx Next since we already made the decision to choose the Pipa. Getting a nuna stroller seemed like a no brainer, and the suspension is probably the best overall against the competition, and i love the skydrape for the infant seat. Uppababy has a very strong solid steel frame (nunas seems flimsy but its not. Its simply the suspension doing its thing), a larger under basket than the Mixx next. Silver Cross strollers seem to be in a league of their own but they are VERY expensive, and the main reason I decided against choosing it. They are known for officially making the strollers/prams for the royal family. They got deep history and the strollers are known for being very high quality (hence the price). I never got to test 1 in person, but im sure it glides just as good as the Nuna and Uppababy.
r/Buyingforbaby • Best travel system for a baby? ->I'm 5 months into using the cruz+mesa v2 as my daily stroller and carseat and have no complaints, although I haven't ever used another one. I use it all the time shopping, restaurants, even some trails. It can be tight in some restaurants but since our LO isn't in a high chair yet it's kind of the only option so we are just aware of the size and layout of the restaurant. I also tend to avoid small boutique shops but I would avoid those with any stroller. I can't imagine living without the ability to put the bucket seat into the stroller frame. I don't use it for walks but to whip into the grocery store it's so much better especially if he's sleeping. It does take up most of my trunk but at this point I go everywhere with it and that hasn't bothered me. I do think it's a bit big for travel though so we bought a travel one on Black Friday but it hasn't gotten here yet so I can't comment.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Go-to for Stroller system/travel system? [BC] ->So then disregard the comments suggesting the Uppababy Minu. We went with the uppababy cruz and while I do like it to be honest we could have been just as good with something cheaper. I was definitely a bit sucked into the brand hype which seems to be moving from uppabbay to nuna. I know people that are happy with the Maxi Cosi Zelia which is a lot cheaper but gives a similar style and I also know people that are happy with graco and evenflo ones. If you can try them out in person that can be helpful. Another way to save money with the travel system is invest in the stroller but get a cheaper carseat. All carseats pass the same safety tests and the infant bucket seat is only used for like 8months on average but the stroller will be used much longer. To use ones from different brands you typically need an adapter which is just a piece of plastic that you clip on first. Just make sure the adapter you need exists before buying the carseat.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [bc] Best travel strollers Canada - is Nuna worth it ->I think the biggest thing I didn’t know was that my kid would want to face me instead of look outward. She would just cry and get overwhelmed. Still likes seeing me at 18 months. I originally got a Minu V2 bc I wanted just one stroller, but that only faces out. Got a used free Cruz V2 which can face out or in. It is the perfect everyday stroller, much more manageable size than Vista and even though it is big for travel we take it bc kid is more comfortable in it than the minu. Also Uppababy is great if you need new parts/customer service/refurb. The free used Cruz needed some parts replaced and it was really easy with Uppababy bc you can just order any part from any model pretty much.
r/NewParents • Strollers - what did you wish you knew before you bought? ->I love my Cruz because we do walk A LOT around the neighborhood. 2-3 hours a day. It was so helpful in the winter when we had to navigate some rough icy terrain. It fits well between isles in the stores, I can push it with one hand. The only thing I didn’t like it was the way you can only change the way baby is facing and how it takes up all my car trunk.
r/NewParents • Product Regrets: 3mos in! ->We lived in the city with our first and I used our stroller (Cruz V2) daily for 4-6km walks, rain, sun or snow. I opted against the Vista as friends who had it complained about its size and although it converts to a double, it’s not an ideal configuration (baby ends up on the bottom). By 18 months, my kiddo was over the stroller and we didn’t have a second until she was closer to 3 and would have never used it as a double. We borrowed a bassinet and bought the Snugseat insert to use the stroller seat from early on. I found the bassinet annoying to lug around vs the Snugseat added to the seat to use from birth. Can’t recommend it enough. The V2 model was upgraded to be similar to the Vista V2 (bigger wheels, basket etc). If looking on Marketplace, ensure it’s the V2 model as the original Cruz is smaller all around. Edited to add - our stroller looks pretty much brand new after 3 yrs of use. My cousin had an Evenflo or Graco and I remember noticing the handles already had wear/tear after 6 months. The Uppababy’s also have decent resale.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [On] UppaBaby Vista 3 vs. Evenflo Pivot / Graco ->Ahh we love our Cruz. Our car seat is Uppa baby and we got a bassinet attachment off marketplace so everything is compatible and easy to click in and out without attachments. We are suburban, but walk frequently and find that the basket is a game changer. On warmer days our dog can fit in the basket if she gets tired, or if we walk to the farmer’s market I can load that up with produce etc. I also take the stroller grocery shopping and can fit a hand cart underneath to keep the stroller clean from leaks or spills. I’ve literally done BJ’s trips with only the stroller and fit everything we needed under there! My only regret so far is a bottle warmer. Our LO will take her milk however she can get it so a warmer was unnecessary.
r/NewParents • Product Regrets: 3mos in! ->We loved the Cruz V2! We used it with the Clek Liing car seat and it worked out great. We just had to buy the separate adapters but chose it over the Mesa because I kept reading that seat gets outgrown early. I also just got a cheap Uppababy bassinet off marketplace and we mainly used that for the newborn period. The car seat compatibility and ability to transfer baby to stroller sounds great until you have a baby that never sleeps in the car anyways 🙃 So we ended up using the bassinet quite a bit in the beginning as it was more comfortable for baby than the car seat. We did travel with it quite a bit and it was never an issue for airlines or anything :)
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Go-to for Stroller system/travel system? [BC] ->I second this based on research - except the Minu isn’t infant ready so I went with the Cruz v2
r/Buyingforbaby • If you could have any stroller… ->Hmm… I think if I took long walks all the time, I’d go for a full size. The Minu is great if you go to crowded places with smooth ground (like Disney World, malls, grocery, airports), but for varying terrain like on hikes or long walks, the Cruz will definitely handle it better. And if you’re primarily walking and not having to lug it in and out of the car constantly, then I bet you’ll like the Cruz more. It’s for sure nicer than the Minu.. just a matter of if the pros outweigh the cons. The cons of a full-size outweigh the pros for me, but I know that’s not the case for everybody.
r/Buyingforbaby • Uppa Minu V2 stroller as travel system for the win ->I hated the Uppababy. Big, bulky, and a pain to fold/store. Look into the Nuna Mixx. I'm not familiar with Evenflo stroller.
r/Buyingforbaby • Worth buying a used uppababy Cruz V2 ? ->I had the same experience as you. Car-based parent at the time and Cruz was just wayyyy too big. We immediately sold our Cruz after the bassinet stage for almost as much as we bought it. The Butterfly has been our go to ever since (and through a second baby, where we just used the car seat holder).
r/NewParents • Product Regrets: 3mos in! ->You will get a better stroller used - I would not hesitate to buy a used UB stroller. They sell spare parts and The Stroller Workshop (a YouTube channel for a stroller repair guy) mentions they’re easy to repair. Our Cruz from 2020 is in great shape. Save the difference and put it towards a travel stroller - that has been the game changer for us if you need something smaller to fit in the car day to day.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Overwhelmed - Stroller Recommendation [ON] ->I have the Cruz v2 and absolutely love it. My first baby was born Jan so we didn’t get bassinet and just got the infant seat insert and worked great. We didn’t do long walks much so we often just used car seat on the stroller. We also used the grace snugride that time with adapter and worked great. For my second, we got a bassinet since September baby (borrowed from a friend). He’s outgrown it already at 3 months. We have the mesa this time and hate it!!! It’s so gd damn heavy, granted my boy is 17 lbs at 3 mos. Carrying him in it is absolutely brutal. While travelling, we used the Chico keyfit with adapter and liked that one too. Only thing I didn’t like about the Chico keyfit is it didn’t have a sun shade. I find my boy is so squished in the mesa, he often is so hot in it too.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • BEST STROLLER/BASSINET/CARSEAT COMBO FOR 1st TIME MOM IN TORONTO? [on] ->Uppa Baby Cruz. Not as large as the vista but very versatile. Also, car seat can be placed in the stroller. I hope it fits the rest of your criteria. Good luck!
r/Buyingforbaby • Strollers...Help ->I love our uppa Cruz it’s a workhorse and the Cruz is 2-3 inches narrower than the Vista. They have a coordinating bucket seat that is pretty light as well. We used to live in the middle east and I would take our compound bus to the mall or IKEA and run errands. Once they are out of the bucket I was able to force a lightweight car seat into the bottom basket, or it fits a TON of stuff in the bottom basket.
r/pregnant • Infant car seat and compatible stroller - tell me the truth - help!! ->I took a few strollers for a test drive at our local store (well walked around the store with them) and then found the same uppababy Cruz and bassinet (and stand) in perfect condition on Facebook marketplace. We then spent the money on buying the matching car seat brand new. Having a travel system has been SO convenient. My uppababy setup looks brand new but was much more affordable this way, and the company has awesome customer service if anything goes wrong. The brake on our stroller was acting up and they met with me over zoom to trouble shoot it and fixed it. If you think you want more than one baby I’d find a good condition vista on marketplace instead.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller Stress - Any Recommendations [CA] ->I originally bought the Nuna Tavo and I hated it. I ended up buying the Uppababy Cruz v2 and also hated that one lol. In the end, I bought the one I wanted all along but always thought was too expensive - the nuna mixx. I love the Mixx so if you have any questions, happy to answer them! I would get something that is: 1. Has the ability to be parent facing 2. Has a easy / not irritating fold 3. Can lie back all the way for a newborn 4. Fits in your trunk 5. Has a capsule adapter so if bub is sleeping, you can take off the seat and snap in the seat It’s worth it to buy the stroller that you want as you’ll use it a lot. I use my stroller everyday and don’t regret paying $865 with tax for my stroller.
r/NewParents • Strollers - what did you wish you knew before you bought? ->We have an uppababy Cruz, a joolz aer and a doona trike. Ended up with a baby who walked early and hated the stroller. Also ended up using the bigger Cruz when we NEEDED one for things like Disney and also Hawaii (oddly the travel one gets used the least). Then there was a three month window where she would only tolerate the trike. It’s nice to have options but I would also have played more by ear to figure out what kind of baby I have.
r/NewParents • What kind of/how many strollers do people have? ->Mainly writing this post for my past self lol. Like you I was reading every review of every stroller, travel system, bedside bassinet, etc etc. I was making lists of pros and cons and constantly taking things on and off our registry as new information became available. I was feeling so overwhelmed and like I would never make the right decision. Then I kind of gave up. A close friend I trusted offered to give me her Clek Ling infant car seat and two bases as her baby had just grown out of it so I took that. I bought a used Uppababy Cruz V2 off Facebook marketplace for $300 with the bassinet attachment. My mom purchased a Halo swivel bassinet off my registry and I figured I could figure out the rest when the baby was here. Baby is now three months old and turns out he HATES infant car seats…a full brand new travel system would have been such a waste of money because I have to immediately transfer him out of the car seat into a carrier or the stroller with the bassinet attachment. We’re going on a trip soon and traveling with the Cruz seems a little extra so I just found a babyzen yoyo 2 with the newborn kit for $280 on Facebook Marketplace as well. I love to run so at some point I’ll probably look at a used jogging stroller. I wouldn’t have felt comfortable with any of this if I had spent over $1200 on a brand new setup. I also had crazy PPA and PPD and had a ton of anxiety about our baby sleeping in our bedroom (one of us slept in the living room with him in his pack and play for the first two months) so that Halo swivel bassinet my mom bought me? Used a total of four times before my baby grew out of it. Basically by chilling tf out and being open to used items I have saved myself thousands and my baby is happy and healthy. I’m now funneling some of that saved money into options I know will work better for us like a 360 convertible car seat. TLDR: You’re not going to figure out the perfect set up for anything until your baby is here and you get an idea of their temperament. Save yourself money and anguish by buying used where you’re comfortable (I get not everyone has a close friend offloading an amazing infant seat with no accidents) and being open to figuring out the rest when your baby arrives!
r/Buyingforbaby • To all the first time parents agonizing over finding the perfect stroller, car seat, etc…save yourself the pain and try to chill out. ->I just used the Cruz I got as an example! TBH it’s not the “perfect” stroller (I don’t believe that exists at this point lol) but having the bassinet and being able to go for walks around the neighborhood with my baby and dog the second I was physically up for it was super beneficial for my mental health. Luckily, I found a cheap one and was able to put very little investment into it, so if it didn’t work out for my baby I wouldn’t be $1200 in the hole. I think find whatever stroller will accomplish the same for you!
r/Buyingforbaby • To all the first time parents agonizing over finding the perfect stroller, car seat, etc…save yourself the pain and try to chill out. ->Seconding this. 95th percentile height toddler and still tons of room. I am not 95th percentile tall...at all. I reach for it over our Cruz unless I need basket space that day
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Please pick one stroller👶 ->Not the original commenter but we also have a Cruz V2 and purchased the Bugaboo Butterfly as our travel pram (I had a preference for the Joolz Aer+ but my partner, who rarely has strong preferences, liked the Butterfly!). The Cruz is great but needs to be checked in while the Aer and Butterfly don’t - I don’t trust baggage handlers to not damage the pram and it’s been so handy being able to wheel our LO around the airport and then fold the Butterfly down just before boarding!
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Best travel stroller/pram: RedsBaby V3, Uppababy Minu V3, Pixi Travel Stroller ->We have 2 strollers: Uppababy Cruz V2 and the Nuna TRVL. The Nuna gets used 99% of the time.
r/daddit • Wife is 15 weeks - went down a stroller rabbit hole… ->Was just gonna comment and say this! We have this stroller and also a uppababy Cruz v2 and i reach for the clic more bc it’s just so easy to use! Bonus is it works with our car seat (nuna) so it’s so easy to just pop her in the stroller and go!
r/NewParents • Any stroller recommendations that are compact and work for <6 months old? ->I had the zelia max, uppababy Cruze v2 and I’m now using an ergobaby metro 3. I loved the zelia! It was light, bassinet feature was amazing and it was a great deal when on sale for a travel system. It got damaged when I was on holiday and I got the Cruz which is easier to push but heavier for sure. So heavy I’ve just replaced it with the new metro stroller. I say get the zelia, it was beautiful in black and felt premium. I got it from Nordstrom before they vanished and it was absolutely worth it. People compare the zelia to uppababy which I don’t think is fair. It’s better than Graco but not as good as uppababy and it’s priced where it belongs. This sub swears by certain brands like uppababy, baby bjorn, woolino etc and it’s honestly not that deep.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Overwhelmed - Stroller Recommendation [ON] ->Check out Macklem’s on Dundas and Roncesvalles. We were just as lost and confused as you are and Debbie at Macklem’s provided a wealth of information and answered all my stroller and non-stroller questions. They have a bunch of strollers you can try out in store as well. We went with the Uppababy Cruz with newborn insert and the Mesa v2 car seat. Skipped the bassinet.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • BEST STROLLER/BASSINET/CARSEAT COMBO FOR 1st TIME MOM IN TORONTO? [on] ->Congratulations! I hope mom and baby are happy and safe. I gave birth to my bub earlier this year, also in QC. When I was making this decision on which stroller to buy, six months ago, I came to the conclusion that it takes 2 strollers to meet my needs. We bought the uppababy cruz because we wanted something light, with a huge basket, easy to navigate and that folds down. We went to Clément and tested a bunch and the uppa was our favourite. Unfortunately it's crap in the snow. Next winter, we'll probably get a thule chariot which is a jogging stroller that converts into a bike trailer. It looks like a workhorse but its huge and feels inconvenient for the rest of the year, and I don't think its compatible with newborns. In the interim we've been baby wearing bub and it's going great.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [qc] travel systems/strollers capatable with Canadian winters? ->We have the Cruz2 and the seat folds with the stroller.
r/NewParents • Strollers ->I also did Cruz V2. Bought car seat separately and borrowed bassinet from a friend. Tons of city walking, huge basket for grocery runs, and folded up small enough to fit at our condo front door. Still using it daily 2.5 years later.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • BEST STROLLER/BASSINET/CARSEAT COMBO FOR 1st TIME MOM IN TORONTO? [on] ->The Cruz is fine I took the streetcar often with it. The vista is monstrous
r/BabyBumpsCanada • BEST STROLLER/BASSINET/CARSEAT COMBO FOR 1st TIME MOM IN TORONTO? [on] ->I use the Uppababy Cruz V2. I did it the bassinet and Clek car seat adapter too. I can’t remember my guys weight at the time, but we’ve been on public transport a lot at various ages
r/BabyBumpsCanada • BEST STROLLER/BASSINET/CARSEAT COMBO FOR 1st TIME MOM IN TORONTO? [on] ->lol I also got a Clek Liing and the Cruz V2 😂 but I got the Liing on sale and also got the Cruz on FB marketplace since I was worried about how often I would use it and didn’t want to pay full price! You further convinced me to add a convertible car seat on my registry in case baby doesn’t like the infant car seat. I’ve also been a huge fan of buying second hand or open box and have saved thousands by doing so!
r/Buyingforbaby • To all the first time parents agonizing over finding the perfect stroller, car seat, etc…save yourself the pain and try to chill out. ->I got a fancy stroller used for $400 (Uppababy Cruz). I had to put $80 into replacing a broken part. I like the stroller. Features I value are that it is lightweight, maneuvers well, and easy to get into my car trunk. My stroller is a travel system. We've found that feature to be completely useless. We've used it maybe twice and only to say we've tried it. IME it's not much extra effort to set up the stroller with the stroller seat rather than car seat when you're getting out of the car, and my baby seems a lot more comfortable in the regular seat vs car seat.
r/NewParents • Stroller Recommendations ->Lol I had an evenflo travel system which is light and small but I hated it and just a few days ago I bit the bullet and bought a Cruz v2. I’ve never been happier with such a large purchase lol. I don’t find it that heavy or cumbersome at all as I also had a BOB jogger- now THAT thing is a beast to get in and out of the car. I looooove my new Cruz.
r/NewParents • Product Regrets: 3mos in! ->I agree with these people generally about the importance of the purchase; it is a place you want to spend for something that meets your needs. I do not think that you want to make a compromise, for instance spending $450 instead of $650, because it is sort of going to be a core part of your life for several years. Of course, more expensive is not always better, but weigh carefully the benefits of one versus the other. I will also add that for us, as apartment people in the city, we ditched the Uppa Cruz early and went to the Stokke (then Babyzen) YoYo. We love it; it has been around the world with us a few times and withstood the wear. We have been using it for 4 years at this point. The small size and foldability is absolutely life altering. Do not underestimate the ability to fold up the stroller into a tiny package (like the Uppa Minu or YoYo). It is so important when you start going to restraunts and things like that.
r/washingtondc • Affordable strollers for the city ->I bought myself the coach baby bag to have more room to pack things for my 3 year old and newborn. It’s a great bag but also works great for going into work where I want to bring my laptop. It’s something I plan on using even past the diaper era. A pure diaper bag is kind of pointless because you eventually learn to/can leave the house without a ton of things! Any bigger bag would work and you can use ziplocks or smaller bags to organize different things in the bag. Don’t get hung up on getting something labeled “diaper bag”. I personally think the swivel seats are a gimmick… you end up detaching the car seat from the base and bringing it inside so the swivel is pointless in the beginning. Then you have a short period of time where you have to pick up your kid to put them in the car seat. Soon enough your kid is climbing into the car seat themselves. I have the graco snug ride snug lock car seat. I didn’t worry about having a whole stroller system because the baby is only in the newborn carrier for a short period of time. You’re also not supposed to leave baby sleeping in car seat for long periods so I didn’t want to use that as a container for her during walks. When I would run errands/ go to a store I would just put the baby carrier in the shopping cart. I have the uppababy Cruz v2 for our stroller. We purchased the bassinet attachment for while baby is super young. It’s nice cause you can also detach the bassinet if baby falls asleep and bring it inside with you. Now with a newborn and a 3 year old, we bought the piggyback attachment for our 3 year old to hop on and get a ride, she loves it. The piggyback attachment made it so we didn’t need a double stroller. Though if you have kids closer together you may want to consider something that can convert into a double stroller like the vista.
r/BabyBumps • Tell me what freaking diaper bag, car seat and stroller to buy. My brain is melting. ->We LOVE our Cruz and it’s on kid #2 and cruising along with zero visible wear & tear. we flew to Portugal and took the Cruz over those insane cobbled streets, up and down stairs, everywhere! It handled like a champ and doesn’t show any sign of the abuse. it’s easy to clean, kids sleep well in it, and the bottom cargo can be overloaded with a ton of stuff. i‘m short and had two c sections and it isn’t too heavy for me!
r/NewParents • Product Regrets: 3mos in! ->Definitely true what you’re saying — we put our Cruz through some crazy situations and we have clocked so many miles on it. it just goes and goes, kid #2 and there‘s no wear and tear! I thought I’d have to replace the wheels by now, but no need. easily the best purchase we made.
r/NewParents • Product Regrets: 3mos in! ->Had evenflo pivot xpand and the day I sold it was the best day ever. Flimsy, squeaky and car seat barely fit in our car. Keep in mind of that not all car seats fit every car. Now I have Cruz v2 and love it. Bought it of marketplace
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [On] UppaBaby Vista 3 vs. Evenflo Pivot / Graco ->Uppababy Cruz v2 for the stroller. I’m very much a bassinet person. You can often get some uppababy bassinets hardly used for cheap on marketplace. OR Bumbleride era. Not the most lightweight but it doesn’t need a bassinet to lie completely flat and is newborn ready. As for car seat chicco key fit is a solid seat
r/Buyingforbaby • Help me pick a travel system ->I haven’t tested any nunas more than 2 min at a store once, but I can confirm that we love our uppababy system. Granted, baby isint here yet buuuuut we’ve thoroughly gone through the process you’re in now and uppababy was a no brainer in the end due to the flexibility their line gives. We got the Cruz v2 (because we don’t know if and when kid number two will arrive, and the Cruz can still be used with two kids assuming the first kid is big enough to stand on the boogie board/standing attachment, forget what it’s called), with the bassinet (their bassinet is one of the only ones on the market that is fully sleep approved). We also live in conditions similar to yours, and found the Cruz to be very light and agile to move around. And one handle carry. Later we’d like to get the minu v3 and ridge, and knowing we can use the bassinet and car seat (maxi-cosi) with every stroller is amazing. Their quality of textiles and features is hard to beat- superior ventilation and lots of different positions. The materials feel better than cybex for example and are around the same price. I sound like I should be a rep for uppababy, but I promise I’m not 😂 just happy to have found the system that seems to be the best for us.
r/Buyingforbaby • Stroller Help ->We've had the Minu V2 and Cruz V2 since birth and have an almost two year old. I almost exclusively used the Minu because it's smaller and lighter and so much easier when it's just the two of us. We ended up with so many of the accessories and you can use them on both. In the beginning I would use the car seat if we were going in somewhere that she would be getting out like storytime because I've read they shouldn't be in the car seat too long, it was great to just plop the cozy ganoosh on and attach to the stroller. I used the bassinet for Dr's appointments or places we were gonna be walking awhile. At around 4 months we switched to the stroller seat but she just kinda slid sideways so we ended up getting the snug seat. It made it close clunky but it still did close. At this point I would keep the adapters on so I could put the car seat on with the rain shield really fast so she wouldn't get wet. Now at almost two we almost never use a stroller but when we do i prefer the Cruz. We're car people not walking people tho. If we're walking where there are dirt paths etc the Cruz pushes so much nicer. We have the seat liners on both and the seat cozy ganoosh can go on both too. We have one cupholder we keep by the door and it comes with adapters for both so I just clip it on either as we go out the door.
r/Buyingforbaby • Uppa Minu V2 stroller as travel system for the win ->We started with an Uppababy Mesa car seat combo stroller for baby #1. It’s easy to use and you can plop the car seat right in there. The frame is lightweight and easy to collapse. I think that one only has single baby capability, but they make one that you can upgrade to a double if needed, which might be the way to go if you are planning on having more. Our second child 3 years old has a neurological disability and handles like a baby, so we had to take that into consideration when baby #3 arrived for a double stroller due to being a larger sized baby (we want to avoid using a wheelchair as long as he’s small enough). We got the Veer switch and roll for that due to higher weight capacity and sturdiness. It has a converter attachment for our uppababy seat. The wheels are a bit bigger so it’s better for curbs and terrain. The width is a little wider than most strollers but can fit through doorways, it just takes some precision. It’s heavier compared to our single stroller, but not too bad. Overall we like it (we didn’t use other double strollers to compare though).
r/daddit • My wife has a crazy addiction to buying strollers. So we’ve tried em all. ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
